While EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival is one of Walt Disney World’s premier annual events, many guests may be unaware that there’s a SECOND Food & Wine Festival each year: The Food & Wine Classic, held at the Swan & Dolphin hotels. 2025 Food and Wine Classic The annual event, which is usually in conjunction with the final weekend of EPCOT’s Festival, features two days of gourmet cuisine from award-winning chefs, paired with fine wines, beers, and spirits from around the world, as well as live entertainment, seminars, and fireworks. The 2026 edition is scheduled for November 20th and 21st, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM each day. During the event, the Michael Graves Causeway between the hotels – named for the architect who designed the iconic buildings – is filled with booths featuring food and beverages from the hotels’ 17+ eateries as well as local products to entertain the taste buds of foodies and fans. For example, during the 2025 fest, some of our favorite dishes included a take on a short rib from Bourbon Steak. Slow Braised Wagyu Beef Short Rib Then there’s the question of price. Currently, advance-purchase, event-only tickets including unlimited food and beverage tastings on the Causeway for Friday OR Saturday night are available for $215.00 per person ($234.90 with tax and service fees). A TWO-NIGHT EVENT BUNDLE ticket is also available, which offers a savings of 10% off of individually-priced one-night tickets. The Two-night Bundle is $387.00 per person ($422.94 with tax and service fees). In comparison, a single ticket to EPCOT on the 20th costs $194 and $199 on the 21st, without any included food. Swan and Dolpin Resort Furthermore, a room reservation discount for the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve is available for guests attending the Food & Wine Classic. The Food & Wine Classic discounted room rate must be booked in advance and is based on availability. Proof of event ticket purchase (ticket email confirmation) is required upon check-in to validate the discounted room rate. Discounted room rate is available for up to 4 days pre event and up to 4 days post event. The 2025 event The Swan & Dolphin’s Food & Wine Classic is returning in 2026, and for some visitors it just may be the preferable Food & Wine option at Walt Disney World. This year, Disney is celebrating one of the world’s most beloved characters, Winnie the Pooh, marking 100 years since the publication of A.A. Milne’s original book in October 1926. The beloved bear has now spent a century reminding us of the value of friendship, kindness, and the joys found in life’s simplest moments. For many of us, there’s a good chance some of our first childhood encounters with Disney involved Pooh Bear and his pals from the Hundred Acre Wood. Today, he’s present across Disney Parks in the form of attractions, character greetings, and themed snacks; appears onscreen throughout various projects; and is found on products spanning numerous categories. There are qualities of Winnie the Pooh that resonate with everyone – his deep devotion to his friends, unwavering sense of childlike wonder and whimsy, and insatiable hunger for adventure (and hunny). As we celebrate his milestone anniversary, I was excited to learn more about the history of this universally loved character and how his legacy has been preserved – and reimagined – by teams at Disney Consumer Products and the Walt Disney Archives. Understanding the Importance of the Walt Disney Archives While I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Walt Disney Archives before, learning more about their function and responsibilities directly from Kevin M. Kern, who is Senior Manager of Research for the department, was an amazing experience. Kevin shared that the Archives is considered to be one of the “historical brain trust” resources at Disney, being named specifically after Walt Disney – the dreamer and designer that started it all. After being founded in 1970 by Disney Legend Dave Smith at the behest of Roy O. Disney, the Walt Disney Archives became critical to collecting and preserving the physical history and heritage of the company, from theme parks and consumer products to studio production. The Archives team works in collaboration with internal partners today who provide samples of items to ensure their collection is representative of everything under the Disney umbrella. But it wasn’t always this streamlined and simple – Kevin noted that when the Archives first began, the team relied not only on helpful internal employees and cast members, but also visits to local swap meets and vintage sales to source many early and foundational pieces of Disney merchandising history! Kevin explained that much of the product they have in the Archives directly informs new materials and merchandise that brands are looking to create, even occasionally inspiring one-to-one recreations as vintage pieces. And when not in storage or being reviewed, the Walt Disney Archives team loans items to partners for display in museums, traveling exhibits, and other institutions, making these storied artifacts accessible to fans around the globe. “We want the history to talk and inform people,” said Kevin. “And the only way you can do that is by getting it out for people to see it.” When it comes to Winnie the Pooh, Kevin shared their focus is on compiling a curated sampling of pieces that really resonated with people and played a critical role in this character’s history, with storytelling at the center. In general, the Archives has a merchandise collection — namely early books and paper ephemera — dating back to the late 1920s and 1930s, which later includes Pooh-related samples like apparel, plush toys, board games, and publications that are a high-level representation of things that help tell the timeless story of the character. Exploring the History of Winnie the Pooh I was so excited to step inside the Walt Disney Archives, located on the iconic Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, where I had the opportunity to see a selection of Disney Winnie the Pooh products from the 1960s onward. The display featured many items that may feel familiar to fans today, including various plush, books, toys, and even a sample of the ever-popular popcorn bucket from Disney Parks. But they all possessed a unique vintage charm, showcasing different styles that represent this character through the eras. The star of the table seemed to be the Winnie the Pooh live-action reference stand-in from the 2018 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Christopher Robin, which the actors on set of the movie used as a reference point to interact realistically with the characters since they would later be replaced by CGI. If I didn’t love this bear already, I think this item would have won me over – it so perfectly captures his kind and gentle personality. Some of the other products in the collection that Kevin called out specifically included a Winnie the Pooh Whirl-A-Tune Music Maker, an example of a Little Golden Book (one of the most endearing and enduring published storybook products) titled Winnie the Pooh Meets Gopher, and an international storybook from Italy. When asked about his favorite piece of Winnie the Pooh history, Kevin told us that the international comic book collection is in his eyes one of the most broadly impressive areas of the Archives, knowing that it really helps them to see the reach and scope of characters like Pooh throughout the world. The items that were most memorable to me were the small plush from Gund Manufacturing Co, which we learned was one of Disney’s very first licensees working with the Winnie the Pooh franchise. Gund still makes Pooh products today, and we got to peek at an adorable interactive toy meant for young children. Even just these items side by side is an incredible example of advancements in product design and technology over time, but I found it interesting that these miniature stuffed toys from the 1960s closely mirror the current trend of tiny plush today. How is Winnie the Pooh Present in Products Today? It was fascinating to see the clear evolution of Winnie the Pooh merchandise, with a display set up directly next to the historical items from the Archives collection, spotlighting new launches and pieces available now. Fan-favorite brands such as Funko, Spirit Jersey, Loungefly, LEGO, Old Navy, and Vera Bradley were featured here, showing this classic character depicted across everything from beauty products to baby apparel. These products all highlight the timeless nature of Winnie the Pooh, and how he has provided joy and comfort to generations of fans. Later in the day, VP of Global Brand Commercialization for Disney Consumer Products Amanda Dhalluin provided valuable insights into how Disney Consumer Products (DCP) continues to evolve and expand the Winnie the Pooh franchise, while still preserving the character’s beloved essence that fans have come to expect. Ultimately, the goal is to understand and satisfy consumer trends but in a way that stays centered to the storytelling of Pooh and who he is at his core. The primary challenge and question Amanda shared is this: “How can we stretch Winnie the Pooh in an innovative way while keeping to his true essence and storytelling?” The answer is through close collaboration with creative and product development teams as they look to tell his story through product in ways that appeal to today’s consumer, but still balances that classic, nostalgic Pooh. DCP has found that pushing the boundaries through fashion, whether it is through stylized character artwork or the product itself being used as a canvas, is a way to successfully strike this balance. Amanda gave the example of choosing a retailer like Primark and making the lines of a character a bit less “fuzzy” when appealing to a Gen-Z audience, or targeting a specific local market like the recent Sakura Plush Collection from Disney Store Japan that plays into an important aspect of Japanese culture. There is a way to “stretch” the character without losing sight of his identity and the decades of beloved storytelling that has shaped him. Establishing brand guardrails helps Amanda, the teams at DCP, and the partners they choose to collaborate with to be imaginative while still staying true to the integrity of Pooh Bear’s stories. “It’s a true honor that brands want to work with us,” shared Amanda. She explained that to ensure characters continue to connect with audiences, DCP needs great brands to illustrate Disney franchises in a way that is differentiated for their audiences. Take Funko for example, whose products possess a very distinct look and feel, bringing something unique to the consumer, all while drawing authentic inspiration from Winnie the Pooh. Amanda also talked about the importance of giving competitors within the same product categories unique stories or creative aspects to work with as they talk to different audiences and keep the brand special. Why is Winnie the Pooh Still so Beloved After 100 Years? As we celebrate 100 years of Winnie the Pooh, I found myself wondering truly what it is about this sweet character that has helped him remain so culturally relevant and genuinely cherished by fans over the years. Kevin and Amanda, along with Disney Legend and animator Mark Henn, shared some thoughts that helped solve this mystery. Product is the first touchpoint a child may have with Winnie the Pooh if parents are choosing to avoid screentime or do not have access to a Disney Park, so it is an extremely valuable introduction to the world of the Hundred Acre Wood. Amanda shared that “Everything we do in product is to bring the characteristics of those characters out into the products, so that the consumers understand them.” Winnie the Pooh and his friends are recognizable characters that transcend cultural and geographical boundaries. Their appearance in product can be adapted as needed, especially by regional Disney teams around the globe making sure they are presenting characters to audiences in a way that resonates with them. “Pooh is a real character, and all of these friends – if you think about how he interacts with Piglet or how he interacts with Eeyore – that can go across any generation or any culture,” said Amanda. Having worked closely on the character of Winnie the Pooh, Disney Legend Mark Henn noted that the art created by Disney animators continues to be the inspiration and the primary reference point for merchandise design. Mark said he did not feel compelled to change Pooh when stepping in to animate him for the 2011 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Winnie the Pooh, but that the job rather felt like picking up the baton and carrying it in a relay race, with the goal of continuing this character’s legacy through his sincerity, humbleness, interactions with other characters, and signature “rumbly tumbly.” There’s something so humanizing and genuine about him, and Mark shared, “He’s naive, maybe, but he has a real sincere heart, which for me as an animator and as an actor is something I’ve always gravitated to in the characters I’ve enjoyed animating.” Kevin echoed Mark’s sentiments, saying, “I think one of the great things about the character is that he’s so steeped in wisdom that he himself does not always realize he’s giving, and that’s so timeless.” This simple but prophetic nature that Pooh Bear possesses presented endless storytelling potential, which is what drew Walt and early Disney studio artists into wanting to bring this character into the fold 60 years ago. One of highlights of working for the Archives that Kevin revealed is having the opportunity to touch all areas of The Walt Disney Company and connect with people across different disciplines, including Disney Legends like Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, whose music helped to define the franchise early on. Kevin shared that Richard Sherman once conferred how “Winnie the Pooh is just like all of us. He shows all of the emotions that we show, he sees the things that we see, he struggles like we do” – and I feel like this perfectly sums it up. We wish Winnie the Pooh a happy 100th birthday, and hope that this character continues to bring happiness and comfort to all for another 100+ years. All aboard! We’ve been waiting for this day for so long, and it’s finally here. We’re embarking on Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Adventure. Let’s set sail! This is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre and throughout Southeast Asia. We are on the ship’s maiden voyage out of Singapore, and we’re here to see and do it all! It’s a tall order, but we are excited to share with you a closer look at this new ship. Come along with us as we explore everything on the Disney Adventure! Entering the Ship When it was time to board the Disney Adventure, our arrival experience was unlike any other Disney cruise ship! Starting at the port, we recommend having your documents downloaded and easily accessible. Make sure that the version of the port arrival form you have shows your boarding time. Going through security, we were asked to carry our water bottle and neck pillow with us instead of leaving them with our checked bags, so that was a change from other Disney cruises. Crowds at the port Once we were at the port, we could connect to the Disney cruise ship wifi, which was actually quite speedy. They didn’t have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app up and running yet. We were also able to join a boarding group an hour before our boarding time and get on the ship early. Usually, Disney says NOT to arrive early, so this might have just been the case for our sailing. Check-in But the major changes started when we actually boarded the Adventure! They don’t scan your documents until you’re physically on the ship, instead of in the pre-boarding area. There are multiple gangways available — we boarded near an elevator bay. There’s no “grand atrium” arrival here like other Disney cruise ships, and sadly, they don’t announce your name as you board. Entering the port However, we did have several Cast Members lined up to cheer and welcome us aboard, and Captain Minnie was roaming around the area to say hello to guests. It still felt special in its own way! Atmosphere After boarding, one of the big things we noticed is that the vibes here are? SO DIFFERENT. First of all, the elevator bays are massive, with about 10 elevators each. And there are escalators in various spaces throughout the ship. That makes it easier to navigate between decks without having to take the stairs all the time. Escalators The muster drill was a little bit different than other Disney cruises. More of the stations seemed to be in indoor locations, and after going through the safety briefing, they did a phased dismissal. They’ll come over the intercom and dismiss people from the drill by calling out stations individually — this helps keep the crowds from flooding the ship all at once. Unlike other Disney cruises, there are no MagicBands on board this ship. You won’t be able to use them to unlock your doors or do other things around the boat. No need to pack that MagicBand+! On the Disney Adventure One big thing to note is that pretty much everything here is in English! English is one of the official languages of Singapore, and all the Cast Members on board speak English. The shows are also in English. So if you’re traveling from the U.S. to board this ship, you shouldn’t have any language barriers. Disney Adventure Our first impression of this boat is that it’s seriously awesome. It’s very cool to explore! Whereas other Disney ships feel more like a contained experience, this boat has given in more to the sense of “discovery” — you’ll never know what you may find just around the next corner. There are hidden details everywhere, and the attention to detail feels on par with the theme parks. Much more intricate than other Disney ships! Town Square There are quite a few outdoor courtyard spaces, and during our sailing, it’s rather warm! We would definitely recommend wearing your sunscreen, bringing a hat, and having a portable fan on hand, because you might be standing in the sun to watch some of the outdoor entertainment. You’ll be out in the sun! Speaking of the different spaces on the boat, there are seven different themed areas on the Disney Adventure. Disney Imagination Garden is the closest thing you get to the grand atrium onboard this ship, with a large open space, a stage, and a stunning castle at the forefront. Disney Imagination Garden Other areas include Town Square, San Fransokyo Street, Marvel Landing, Disney Discovery Reef, Wayfinder Bay, and Toy Story Place. Check back for updates on those spots throughout our sailing. Entertainment Of course, every Disney cruise starts with a sailaway party! On the Disney Adventure, there are multiple showings of the sailaway party because it’s hosted in the Disney Imagination Garden, which is not as spacious as the pool decks of the other ships (where the party is usually hosted). The sailaway party! You can’t really see the ship sailing away from this area, but the show included several characters — Genie, Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, Elsa, Cinderella, Tiana, Miss Marvel, Spider-Man, and more. Of course, the sailaway party also features the iconic Disney Cruise Line horn sendoff! Hi, friends! With much of the entertainment onboard, there are three showings, including for the major theatre shows at night. This helps accommodate the crowds more easily. We’ll keep updating you on entertainment as we see more shows. Keep following along throughout our sailing! Dining When we boarded the ship, we started with some quick service dining. There are several small, quick service spots on the ship that fill the gap between pool service, rotational dining, and buffet. It’s important to note that reservations may be required to experience some of these dining options. Making the reservations was as simple as getting our Key to the World card scanned, but we did see folks turned away at some of the more popular spots. Gramma Tala’s For the smaller quick service spots, dining is done similarly to Chipotle, where you walk up to the counter and tell the Cast Member what you’d like to include in your meal. They’ll have sauces set out at the end, and each spot comes with themed seating inside, as well as some themed seating outside the restaurant. We already tried Gramma Tala’s Kitchen, Mowgli’s Eatery, Stitch’s Ohana Grill, and Cosmic Kebabs, and we thoroughly enjoyed each spot. We felt the food was a cut above typical Disney Cruise Line fare, and there’s no extra charge to eat at these places. Enchanted Summer Restaurant menu We’ll update you with thoughts from our rotational dining spots and other eateries as we make our way around the ship. Shopping Of course, it wouldn’t be a vacation without some shopping! During our first day onboard, we got notified that World of Disney, World of Disney Too, and Duffy and Friends shops would all require reservations for shopping in the evening to help mitigate crowds and lines. ©Disney Cruise Line There’s no guarantee that this will happen on your sailing, but it’s important to have notifications on for the Navigator app just in case. Room Tours There are so many different rooms available on this ship, including inside rooms, oceanview rooms, verandah rooms, concierge rooms, and royal suites, so there’s really something here for everyone. Here’s a first look at our Deluxe Garden View Stateroom with Verandah. Garden View Stateroom with Verandah This offers a balcony view into the middle of the ship. On this boat, you can get balconies facing inward or out to sea. We’ll be sharing a full room tour soon, so stay tuned. The view from our balcony! If you’re visiting Disney World in the summer, you may be thinking about what you’re going to wear. You’re probably already aware that Florida is hot and humid in the summer, meaning that you might want to consider wearing dresses and skirts because they tend to be the coolest thing to wear when it’s hot out. ©Amazon However, wearing dresses and skirts in the summer brings up one big problem, and we’re just going to come out and say what it is: thigh rubbing and chafing. And trust me, it can get bad. However, all you need to prevent that and still stay cool in your dresses and skirts is a good pair of slip shorts. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get the MELERIO Women’s Slip Shorts ©Amazon So my friends and I decided to wear Disneybound dresses to Disneyland, and I chose these slip shorts to wear under my dress. Y’all. They are so light and comfortable that I immediately bought a few more pairs for those rare occasions when I wear skirts and dresses. view ON AMAZON Buy the 3-Pack of Slip Shorts ©Amazon Or you could just buy this 3-pack of slip shorts and get them in every color. These are also super comfortable and soft, and lightweight enough for the hottest day in Disney World. They also don’t roll up or down, which is very important. These are a little shorter, too, if you’re wearing shorter skirts or dresses. view ON AMAZON Get the 4-Pack of Slip Shorts ©Amazon You can also grab this 4-pack of slip shorts, with reviews citing how comfortable they are, as well as how well they fit. They provide good support under skirts and dresses, and you don’t have to worry if a strange wind pops up and blows your skirt up…you’ll be good and covered. Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster construction We’ve been keeping up with all the latest changes happening around Disney World, and over at Hollywood Studios, that means keeping an eye on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster transformation. Even though this ride only closed about a week ago, Disney has wasted no time in getting the retheme started. We spotted even more changes over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster on our most recent visit to Hollywood Studios! We recently saw that Disney had started painting the car that marks the entrance to the courtyard where the ride is located, and now it looks like they’ve painted even more! We love the vibes it’s giving off, as it reminds us of the Electric Mayhem’s tour van! We love the vibes We also happened to notice that the KRNR The Rock Station snack stand was closed. Disney has not yet announced what will happen with this snack station once the ride reopens with the Muppets theme, but we anticipate it will be a similar — if not the same — snack stand. The Disney World calendar shows “No Times Available” for KRNR as far as the calendar goes out, so it’s likely this spot will stay closed until the ride reopens. We just hope it’s not gone for good! KRNR The Rock Station Disney has shared that Scooter, as band manager, along with the penguin audio engineers, will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert! They confirmed this will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an audio animatronic and that he might not be the only one in the attraction. However, they said we will have to learn more about that at a later date. ©Disney Throughout the attraction, we will be getting a VIP tour of G-Force Records, which is under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been warned that G-Force Records has a snazzy new look now that Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, is in charge. ©Disney We’ll be on the lookout for more changes at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Hollywood Studios. The Magic Kingdom has been the most popular theme parks in the world pretty much since the day it opened — along with the rest of Walt Disney World — in October 1971. Iconic landmarks like Cinderella Castle have made visiting the park a rite of passage for millions each year, which makes it slightly surprising that dining at the park is a bit divisive. Steak Frites Due to the large crowds that often descend on the park, the Magic Kingdom’s eateries — both quick service and table service — are often swamped, which in turn means that any meal is a time and financial commitment for guests. Unfortunately, sometimes that leads to regret. Plant-Based “Cheese” Pizza at Pinocchio’s Village Haus Let’s begin with one of our least favorite food items at the park: The Plant-based “Cheese” Pizza at this Fantasyland quick service establishment. To be blunt, this $12.79 pizza topped with tomato sauce and faux “mozzarella” leaves a lot to be desired. Not great Don’t fret if you’re searching for quick service plant-based options however, as the park offers numerous other options including the Plant-Based Hot Dog (which is also available Chicago-style) at Casey’s Corner, the Heart of Palm and Artichoke Roll at Columbia Harbour House, the Patty Melt at Cosmic Ray’s, and the Plant-Based Rice Bowl at Pecos Bill to name a few. Plant-Based Chicago Dog Be Our Guest Moving from a single item to a full meal, let’s focus on Be Our Guest. Now, there’s no denying that from an interior theming standpoint, this Beauty and the Beast-themed eatery is a triumph. The recreations of the film’s environments – including the massive ballroom (complete with snowy weather outside) and the West Wing in the middle of a perpetual lightning storm) – are brilliantly executed. However, the lack of character experiences (outside of very sporadic appearances from The Beast) can make the environment feel a bit hollow despite how well executed it is. The Grand Ballroom in Be Our Guest Restaurant Then there’s the question of the food itself. The restaurant’s menu has gone through many changes over its decade+ of operation, and currently only offers a prix fix menu that costs $72 per adult (ages 10 and up), plus tax and gratuity, and $43 per child (ages 3-9), plus tax and gratuity. While the food itself is solid — and the menu offers some highlights, including the Steak Frites entree and several desserts featuring the iconic Grey Stuff (we agree with the dishes, it is delicious) — it’s a steep price for a restaurant experience that feels like it’s missing something major without characters. The Grey Stuff inside the Blooming Rose Cinderella’s Royal Table offers an equally steep prix fix menu price, but that restaurant does offer an arguably equally iconic environment (INSIDE Cinderella Castle) and a veritable army of Disney Princesses. Ariel Next time you’re considering dining options at the Magic Kingdom, be sure to keep in mind that a few of the more popular options on paper may leave you feeling regretful in the end. EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival has begun, and while the park is filled with gorgeous flowers, incredible topiaries, and booths that have lots of delicious options on their menus. How exactly can you get around it all? Welcome to the festival! With every new festival, there are A LOT of things added to EPCOT, and that means it can be a little hard to find your way around, even if you pick up a festival passport. It’s important to know what’s high on your list so you feel accomplished throughout your day, and if you want to be prepared well in advance, here’s how you can find your way around the park during this iconic festival! This year, there are over 20 Outdoor Kitchens to experience, in addition to special items at Joffrey’s and additional locations. There’s even a NEW booth this year called Nectar Hosted by AdventHealth! However, there’s so much more to explore around the festival that has nothing to do with food, too, like the scavenger hunt — Spike’s Pollen-nation Exploration! Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration If you’re visiting the festival before Easter, you can also check out the Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt as well! This won’t run for the entire duration of the festival, only the beginning, and the prizes are pretty neat, so we say it’s worth the time it takes. However, if you don’t finish either scavenger hunt, you can still pick up your prize! The prizes! You can also experience the Garden Rocks Concert Series each evening, which features bands and musical groups local to Florida, and larger names from around the country. There are three showings each night — 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8 PM — and while they’re free with admission to EPCOT with a standby entrance, you can also choose to purchase a Dining Package if you want to ensure you’ll get a seat for a particular artist. Garden Rocks Don’t forget about all the merchandise available at this year’s festival! There’s so much to see and check out, but some of our favorites are all the festival pins, the Spike the bee shoulder plush, and the Spirit Jersey. 2026 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Merchandise If you’re worried about spending too much at the booths, we recommend picking up a festival gift card and preloading it with the amount you’d like to spend (it can be any amount as long as it’s a minimum of $15!). If you have any funds left over, you can use this gift card anywhere in the Disney World parks. Flower and Garden Gift Card! There’s something about a day at Disney World that brings out big emotions with soaring highs, the sugar crashes, and meltdowns in 95-degree heat. Magic Kingdom The parks are crowded, the lines are long, and yes, your feet hurt. But “hot and overstimulated” isn’t a free pass to forget basic decency. From guests who treat queues like suggestions to those who decide the rules simply don’t apply to them, some people have taken their not-so-magical moments to spectacular new lows. If you’ve ever witnessed behavior that made you clutch your Mickey ears in disbelief, you’re not alone. Let’s dive into five tales of guests behaving so, so, so, so, so, so, so badly. Climbing the Mexico Pavilion Pyramid It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in EPCOT, but some guests seem to think it’s their personal challenge to climb it. We’ve seen people attempting to scale the Mexico Pavilion pyramid, and rarely do they get very far before security escorts them out of the park. Whether it’s a dumb, intrusive thought you let take over or an intoxicated decision, whatever the reason, do not do it. You’re putting yourself and others at risk, and you’ll never get to have a La Cava margarita again, so really it’s not worth it. Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT Taking a Dip in the EPCOT Fountains Speaking of EPCOT, why are there always people trying to take a bath in the fountains?! A long day in the Florida heat makes any fountain look tempting, but Disney fountains are NOT for swimming. We’ve seen adults (yes, adults) hopping into fountains like they’re public pools. Not only is this unhygienic (you don’t want to know what’s in that water), but it’s also a one-way ticket to an early park exit. While we’re at it, do NOT dip your sweaty cooling towel in the water — that’s gross, and I am in fact judging you. France Pavilion Taking Living With The Land Too Literally Living with the Land is a slow boat ride through greenhouses where Disney grows a lot of its own produce. It’s educational, it’s relaxing, but for some reason, some guests cannot sit down. To the point where someone was so determined to grab a fresh cucumber that they literally jumped out of the ride vehicle mid-ride. They got in trouble immediately, and now, they will not be living with the land again. As someone who loves this ride, I can tell you that it is the saddest part of this whole thing. A cucumber grown on the ride! Resellers Disney Parks merchandise has become insanely popular. When unique, exclusive merch drops at the parks, you’re likely to find guests leaving the store full of giant bags. What are those guests doing? They are taking the items home to sell them online at inflated rates. This is so frustrating for other guests who are truly just wanting one for themselves. Disney has begun to limit the number of items that a guest can purchase, but it’s still a large problem in the parks. Two per person, please! Being Disrespectful to Cast Members Here at DFB, we believe that Cast Members are the magic, so when we see guests being disrespectful to them, we have a problem with it. This includes guests yelling at Cast Members, deliberately ignoring their directions, or doing something to endanger others. We want our Cast Member friends to be safe and enjoy their days, so be kind to them! Disney World Cast Member We all love Disney World, and we want to have the best time possible. But there’s a way to do it that doesn’t involve breaking rules, cutting lines, or doing dangerous things. So let’s make a pact to keep things respectful, and we will all have a more magical time. We don’t claim to speak for Elmo, but we’d imagine he’s pretty upset about this latest news. ©Universal Universal Studios Japan has been working on creating new experiences for guests, and while that does sound like an exciting time, it means certain experiences and lands will have to close. Unfortunately, that’s the case with Sesame Street Fun World at Universal Japan. Here’s what you need to know. Sesame Street Fun World at Universal Japan will end operations on Sunday, May 10th, 2026. Universal shared that this is “to pave the way for new and even more exciting experiences with the Sesame Street friends,” so it sounds like Sesame Street isn’t going away for good at this park! ©Universal Sesame Street Fun World opened on March 16th, 2012, and is part of the Universal Wonderland area, which is a family-friendly land. To express their gratitude for those who have loved Sesame Street Fun World over the years, Universal is hosting a special commemorative event that celebrates the memories and bonds formed in this area of the park. Forever Friends — Always Together will take place from March 20th to May 10th! ©Universal Experiences with Sesame Street friends will continue throughout the park, including the “NO LIMIT! Parade – Discover U!!! Version,” “Sesame Street 4‑D Movie Magic” (currently suspended), “The Ultimate Blues Bash – Colors of Music,” and various character greetings. ©Universal As part of the Forever Friends — Always Together celebration, guests will receive a special card that allows them to take unique photos blending Sesame Street characters with real park scenery when held up in designated locations. The artwork will change throughout the event depending on when you visit, too. The first print will be available from March 20th until supplies last, and the second will be from April 15th to May 10th, but dates are subject to change. You can grab them at Universal Wonderland. ©Universal Not only that, but there will be a special “Everyone’s Treasure Board” where guests can share special memories and have them displayed. It will be located in front of Elmo’s Imagination Playland and Sesame’s Big Drive from April 11th to May 10th. ©Universal While we’re sad to see this area go, hopefully, it’s not the end of Sesame Street at Universal Japan altogether. Do you all remember just a few years ago when rose gold was EVERYWHERE? We’re talking apparel, phone cases, Loungefly bags, and so much more. ©Disney Now, it seems Disney may be looking to bring that trend back, because there are not only new Disney Crocs online, but they’re rose gold too! That’s not all, though, because rose gold accessories are available too, and we’re obsessed. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Rose Gold Crocs? Yes, Please! ©Disney It’s rare that we find a pair of Crocs that we find genuinely cute, but the Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Crocs are an exception! The actual shoe itself is rose gold, as is the sparkly bow on the top of both shoes. Unlike Jibbitz, this bow isn’t removable, so that’s something to keep in mind before you buy a pair. The bow should do fairly well in rain, like the rest of the shoe, but if it gets dirty, it may be harder to clean than the rest of the shoe. Grab right here! Add Some Rose Gold to Your Other Crocs! ©Disney If you don’t need another pair of Crocs, but want to add some rose gold to your existing pairs (or grab the rose gold Crocs and then add MORE rose gold to them), the Rose Gold Mickey and Minnie Mouse Jibbitz Set is a great option to grab. It comes with three large Jibbitz, including a pearl, a heart locket that opens, and a Minnie icon, as well as a ”charm bracelet” style link chain that has tons of different rose gold Disney charms! Grab right here! We’ve got a feeling both of these could sell out pretty quick, and it’s not guaranteed they’ll be put in stores, so grab them while you can! We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney merchandise news so you can stay informed, so stay tuned to DFB. View the full article

If you’re walking through Disney Springs and happen to catch a whiff of delicious baked goods and spot a line longer than one for Peter Pan at Magic Kingdom, chances are you’ve found Gideon’s Bakehouse! Gideon’s Bakehouse This sweet spot is home to creative half-pound cookies, massive cake slices, and unique cold brews, and each month brings something new to the bakery. We stopped by to check out some of their March offerings and were thrilled to see that some of our favorite flavors had returned! We stopped by Gideon’s Bakehouse to grab a few of our favorite returning treats, and boy, are we glad we did! First up, we grabbed the Sea Turtle Cookie for $7. This is made with premium Chocolate, Homemade Caramel that often busts out the sides, and whole Candied Pecans sprinkled with signature Sea Salt. This masterpiece perfectly combines Sweet, Salty, Gooey, and Crunchy. Sea Turtle Cookie This is, yet again, one of our favorite Gideon’s flavors. It is SUPER caramel-forward with lots of gooey caramel bits throughout. The chocolate chips are a great addition, because what’s better than chocolate and caramel?! The candied pecans add a lovely nuttiness that helps cut through some of the sweetness from the rest of the ingredients. If you’re a fan of turtle candy, you’ll love this cookie. SO many goodies We also grabbed the Ginger Snap Cold Brew for $6.50. This cold brew is mixed with oat milk and ginger syrup for flavor. This is such a unique cold brew, and our reporter enjoyed it much more than they thought they would. It’s not super ginger-heavy, but instead has a light hint of the ginger syrup that complements what we’d describe as a cookie butter flavor. This is giving us more Biscoff cookie vibes. We do wish the coffee flavor were more prominent, as it’s more milky than coffee-flavored. Ginger Snap Cold Brew We’ll be on the lookout for even more Disney snacks to review for you from Disney Springs and beyond. Paradise Garden Grill is serving up special festival dishes again this year at the DCA Food & Wine Festival! Let’s check ’em out. Paradise Garden Grill The 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially started at Disneyland Resort, and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 27th, you can devour some delicious eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat Paradise Garden Grill this year? Well, we’ve checked it out, and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu Let’s take a look at the festival items at Paradise Garden Grill! This year’s menu features a variety of dishes, including Pork Chile Verde Chalupas, Aguachile Loaded Chips, and Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake. Paradise Garden Grill Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the new Pork Chile Verde Chalupas for $14.99. This is comprised of two chalupas filled with pork in salsa verde, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and queso fresco served with Spanish rice and refried beans topped with queso fresco. Pork Chile Verde Chalupas WOW! This totally blew us away! The taco shell was unlike any other one we’ve ever had — it was soft and chewy in the best way, and paired with the perfectly seasoned pork, the flavors just explode in your mouth. The pork has a bit of a kick to it, but the lettuce, tomato, and lime are a nice way to even it out. The rice and beans were nothing super special, but were solid, so overall, this was a fantastic dish. Incredible! Next up, we tried the Aguachile Loaded Chips for $13.49. This dish is zesty chips topped with lime-cooked shrimp, fresh cucumbers, and red onion with aguachile salsa. Aguachile Loaded Chips Each chip is coated perfectly in seasoning, which we really loved, and the agua chili salsa has layers of flavor. It’s got a chili powder flavor that gives it a kick, but you also get a level of salsa verde in there as well. There are so many flavors, and this also explodes in your mouth, especially with the onion and cucumber cooling things down a bit. The shrimp adds an extra flavor without being too briny, and with that added lime you can sprinkle on top, it’s actually refreshing on a hot day! This is delicious! Finally, for something sweet, you can get the Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake for $8.50, which is also available at the Mercado de Antojos booth. Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake OVERALL If you’re not opposed to spice, this is absolutely a location you NEED to check out! In fact, we had both of these items on our best of the fest list, so when we suggest it to be high on your list, we mean it 100%. Be sure you’ve got some water with you, and get ready for tons of flavor. A fantastic spot! That’s it for this spot, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! If these Disney trends are ticking you off, rest assured — you’re not alone. A gloomy Magic Kingdom Disney trends at the parks and on the cruise line are always adjusting and evolving…and not always for the better. While we visit Disney every day, we know many of you are Disney die-hards, as well, so we KNOW you have plenty of thoughts on the trends that aren’t winning everybody over. Pixie dusting — the practice inspired by Tinker Bell involving guests receiving an unexpected, magical act of kindness or a small surprise — has become a bit of a controversial topic among Disney fans. Reader Kendra wrote, “‘I’m there in 2 weeks. Someone please pixie dust me.’ Ummm maybe you should be the one to pixie dust someone else??!!” Reader Katy added, “People asking for Pixie Dust online. The countless [amount] of “I’m here now. Anyone want to dust me!” posts [are] insane.” Tinker Bell and Fawn Of course, pixie dusting doesn’t always involve Cast Members — especially aboard the Disney Cruise line, where guests leave little trinkets for other guests at their stateroom door. However, many of our readers consider this a not-so-great practice. Reader Autumn wrote, “Pixie dusting by visitors… as it takes the ‘specialness’ away from Disney organic magic. Let’s at least call it something else (how about Guest Glittering so it clearly defines… can we make this a thing?) AND quit ‘expecting’ or ‘requesting’ it from anyone!” Hi Tink! Pixie dusting was mentioned TONS of time on our prompt, with some calling it littering and others calling it rude. Either way, it seems folks have STRONG opinions on the Disney practice. ©Disney Of course, not every response was about pixie dusting. Another complaint included taking up space and blocking paths at the theme parks. Reader Mark wrote, “Walking side-by-side around world showcase my record that I saw is 10 across!!!!!!!” Yeah, that would lead to an understandable. Others noted that it can be infuriating when folks stop on pathways. It’s very busy some days! While stopping on pathways is annoying, it seems as though there’s something even more annoying — folks who record or live-stream everything. Many of our readers said it’s super distracting to see influencers and regular guests whip a phone out during dark rides or other experiences and become part of the environment, rather than spectating it. There is some pushback on this point, though, as Reader Deborah commented, “People who complain about people recording on their phone. Did ya’ll forget when vacations were filmed on big cameras carried on shoulders? We are going as a family for the first time, and I’ll be xx if someone says something about me recording my vacation.” Happily Ever After Lightning Lanes and the digitalization of the Disney experience also seem to be a negative trend for many fans. Reader Jan wrote, “Lightning lanes. The person in charge is not having fun. They are constantly refreshing their phone while stressed. The experience at the parks was great overall but it should be more enjoyable.” It’s true that Disney vacations have become quite taxing for many of the years due to the increased need to plan. If you prefer a more go-with-the-flow vacation, the current setup might disappoint you. Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane I’d also be remiss if I didn’t include another huge negative trend: Increased prices. It’s a sad fact that doing anything with Disney is costing more and more. Dining, souvenirs, park tickets, and lodging each see price increases each year, and many of you let us know that you’re noticing and aren’t happy. ©Disney We got many more responses — including points on the lack of creativity in non-alcoholic drinks, a rise in political attire in the parks, EPCOT festivals including major Figment theming, and line cutting. Are you ready for some dreamy vacation-inspired dishes and drinks? Then the Golden Dreams Festival Marketplace Booth at the 2026 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival is the place to stop! 2026 Golden Dreams Booth From Musubi Fried Rice to tiki drinks and mojitos, Golden Dreams is serving up quite the variety at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. As you’re mulling your options of everything you’d like to try at the Festival’s Marketplace Food Booths, we’re bringing you our full review of Golden Dreams to see if it should make YOUR must-stop list! Menu Okay, so what do we mean by “vacation-inspired dishes?” Well, Golden Dreams presents the Musubi Fried Rice brought to you by Disney Vacation Club. It’s joined by the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème on the menu. the menu The Tiki Spritz is a new cocktail this year, while the Watermelon Cucumber Mojito makes its return. Here we go! Eats The Musubi Fried Rice brought to you by Disney Vacation Club is inspired specifically by Disney’s AULANI Resort in Hawai’i! For $8.75, this dish features steamed rice with egg, glazed spiced ham, umami mayo, and furikake. Musubi Fried Rice brought to you by Disney Vacation Club This was one of our favorites from last year! It was salty and savory and was the perfect portion for the price. While there are a lot of snack options during the festival, we felt like this was really a whole lunch, which we really appreciated. It was great! For something sweet, the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème is $8.00. This plant-based dessert is made with vanilla custard, cherry filling, and oat crumble. Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème If you love cherry pie or cherry cobbler, you have to try this. It’s very tart, almost too tart for some, but the oats on top give it a great texture and a bit of a bite. We appreciated that it was plant-based as well, but we think it might be a little too tart for our liking. Drinks Time for a Tiki Spritz! For $18.00, this new drink combines dark rum, Italian aperitif, pineapple juice, guava nectar, guava syrup, and sweet and sour. It’s topped with Sprite and garnished with a pineapple wedge. Tiki Spritz This was SO good! It was very strong, and the rum flavor really came through, but you can also taste the pineapple and guava in it. It was super tropical and made us feel like we were sitting at Trader Sam’s or on the beach instead of in Disney California Adventure. The Watermelon Cucumber Mojito is back for $19.00, making its way to Golden Dreams from Mercados de Antojos last year. White rum is mixed with watermelon liqueur, mojito and cucumber syrups, watermelon purée, and lime juice, then topped with Topo Chico and garnished with a watermelon gummy wedge and Tajín twist. Watermelon Cucumber Mojito Sweet watermelon, tart lime, refreshing cucumber, and spicy tajin… it’s basically a Cancun beach vacation in a glass! It’s super refreshing, even with the fun kick from the tajin. This is definitely a memorable cocktail that we’ve started to look forward to each year. OVERALL This was a solid booth! While nothing was too outrageously unique, we think it was filled with good options that a lot of people will ike. When you want an actual meal, the Masubi Fried Rice is a great choice, and if you’re always craving tart flavors, try that Cherry Cobble Pot de Crème. You can’t forget to round it off with that perfect tropical Tiki Spritz. Full Spread at Golden Dreams Thanks for joining us at the Golden Dreams Festival Marketplace Booth! It takes a lot to keep Disney World running in tip-top shape, and sometimes, to do that, Disney has to close certain experiences for refurbishment. Let’s go to the Turf Club! If you’ve got an upcoming stay at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and were looking to check out some of the hotel’s eateries, there’s an important closure at the Turf Club Bar & Grill and Turf Club Lounge coming up that you might want to know about. We’ve got all the details for you, right here on DFB! From mid-March through mid-September 2026, the Turf Club Bar & Grill and the Turf Club Lounge at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort will be under refurbishment. During this refurbishment, some areas will be temporarily closed, but the good news is they won’t all be closed at the same time. Turf Club Bar & Grill In early April, the Turf Club Lounge will be closed for refurbishment and will reopen in early August. During this time, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will remain open with a pop-up bar serving a modified Lounge food and beverage menu. Lounge Area From early to mid-August, the Turf Club patio will be closed for refurbishment. Patio seating Finally, from mid-August through mid-September, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will be closed for refurbishment — but the Turf Club Lounge will remain open. Turf Club eats The Turf Club is tucked away at Saratoga Springs and offers a variety of standard American fare for dinner, including pasta dishes, salads, seafood appetizers, steaks, and chops for the evening dinner hours. The indoor seating area is refined with dark woods and forest greens, though it’s not at all stuffy. A covered outdoor seating area also boasts views of Lake Buena Vista. We’ll see what the restaurant and lounge look like when they reopen! The Turf Club Bar and Grill We’ll be on the lookout for more closures at Disney World you need to know about. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! Check out more closure news at the links below! With all the different dining options at Disney World, spots that often get thrown under the radar are Disney World Resort hotel restaurants. More specifically, the places that you can eat at beside the pool. Cheers! We recently stopped by Muddy Rivers at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside to see if this is a good option for guests staying at the resort and enjoying the resort’s pool, or guests who are passing through the resort. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere Muddy Rivers is a standard Disney pool bar located at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside. It’s a nice spot for those who are hanging out at the resort’s main pool, or guests who are just walking around the resort and are looking to grab a snack or a drink. It has a decent outdoor seating area, plus all the seating around the pool. Muddy Rivers Pool Bar But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The place has different salad and snack options, as well as specialty drinks that include New Orleans-inspired sips like Nola Cola, Gata-Melon Juice, and the All That Jazz frozen cocktail. Or you could go with a classic Hurricane. Let’s grab something! And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First, we grabbed the Hot Cajun Boiled Peanuts for $5.99. The thing you need to know about boiled peanuts is that they are very soft on the outside, and you have to kind of pinch them to get them to open to get to the peanuts inside. The peanuts inside are also soft, but they have a lot of flavor. Hot Cajun Boiled Peanuts They’re not necessarily hot, but they are seasoned. Note that you get a LOT of peanuts for the price. They’re really soft Then, we grabbed the Roasted Turkey and Pimento Cheese Wrap for $11.99. It’s served cold and fresh, which we appreciated. You also get a lot of turkey with crunchy, fresh lettuce. The pimento cheese also added a nice cheesiness to the overall flavor that complements the turkey really well. Roasted turkey and pimento cheese wrap This is more than just a snack, though. It’s a solid lunch that can fill you up. A solid lunch option So if you need something more substantial than a snack, this is a solid option. Drinks To drink, we picked up the Bull Frog Brew for $6.29. This is made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, Green Apple, and Kiwi. This tasted like Powerade mixed with lemonade, and we mean that in the best way possible. It’s very refreshing, and it’s a great drink to have if you’re sitting by the pool and want a sweet drink. It’s giving us Frozen Mystic Portal Punch at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land vibes. Bull Frog Brew We also grabbed the classic Hurricane for $21.50. This is made with Bayou Silver Rum, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Orange, Pineapple, and Lime Juices with Grenadine and a float of Myers’s Original Dark Rum served in a Souvenir Hurricane Glass. We found ourselves wishing this drink had more flavor. The rum is super strong, so you’ll want to stir it up before that first sip to get something more balanced. Hurricane It is refreshing and a great poolside drink, but again, it’s just kinda lacking in flavor. With that being said, it does have a slight tanginess to it, thanks to the orange, but that’s about it. The souvenir cup is nice, though, and we love a drink with a little umbrella. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re enjoying a pool day at the hotel. If you plan on staking a spot out at Ol’ Man Island Pool, you don’t have to go too far for food and drinks because Muddy Rivers is right there. You just need a few close food options to maximize pool time. Again, if you don’t plan on leaving the pool, you’ve got a selection of tasty pool bites, including charcuterie, wraps, and salads. PLUS, there’s a full bar. You don’t want to have any plans for the day. This is as laid back with dining as you can get. No reservations needed, and you don’t even need to use Mobile Order. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You need more options. The food menu is small here, and it doesn’t even include fare for picky eaters like chicken strips and burgers (although you can find those at the nearby food court). It’s hot. If it’s hot and muggy, and you want to eat somewhere indoors with the a/c blasting, this shouldn’t be your choice. Although it does have some shaded seating, it’s still outdoors. You’re not staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. It doesn’t really make much sense to go out of your way for this pool bar if you’re not staying at the Port Orleans Resort. Overall Muddy Rivers is a pool bar, so you can’t expect a lot from it. The menu is limited, although the food that is available is fresh and tasty. It’s also a great spot to grab something to sip on while lounging beside the pool, but you shouldn’t make a special trip to Port Orleans Resort just to visit this bar. Full spread In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
