The time has finally arrived, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is getting ready to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Let’s ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! When the Muppets Courtyard closed in June of 2025 to start construction on the all-new Monsters Inc. Land, there were lots of thoughts. Then, when Disney announced that the Muppets would be taking over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster as a new retheme, there were even more thoughts. Now that we’ve had the chance to ride the brand-new attraction and share some coverage of the attraction online, our fans have new thoughts to share…and we’re breaking them down! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opens on May 26th, but many folks have already had the chance to ride it due to Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews, as well as the pre-opening media event. We’ve shared some pictures and videos of the ride, its queue, and its pre-show online, and people have been commenting their very strong opinions! Let’s dive in to some of the big notes. “This Is 100% Better” Several comments from our Instagram followers were positive! When we shared a clip of the new launch, one person said, “Why would anyone complain about this? This is 100% better.” Another commented, “Love a genuine glow-up!” Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets We know that many Muppets fans are just excited to continue the Muppet legacy in Hollywood Studios. And if you’re dedicated to the Muppet fandom, the ride and the queue have TONS of Easter eggs and little nods to leave you satisfied. You’ll get to see some of your favorite characters along the way, as well! 26 Hidden Details on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets “This Doesn’t Vibe!” However, just like there were people who loved the idea of this update, there were several who are not fans of the changes. One person commented “This doesn’t vibe!” while another said, “Nope. Just no. I need my Aerosmith circa 1998.” A third person said, “Sorry but this just doesn’t work.” Ready to rock! Now, keep in mind that these comments come from folks who saw a few seconds of the ride in a clip on the internet. We encourage everyone to reserve full judgment until they check out the ride for themselves! We will certainly admit that it’s a big change — the ride has less of the “hard rock ‘n’ roll” feel and more of the “silly Muppets” vibe, which can contrast with the actual thrill level. The coaster is just as fast, just as jerky, and still has the same inversions. Get a First Look Inside the Ride Here! Questions About the Ride The third kind of comments we got were mostly just questions about the ride and its experience. Note that it officially opens to the public on May 26th, though Annual Passholder previews happen starting May 21st. It will be available with Lightning Lane Multi Pass access as a tier one attraction when it opens, and there WILL be a single rider queue still. The preshow! There’s a test seat near the boarding area of the attraction, and there’s a “chicken” exit still for those who want to check out the queue and the pre-show with some of their favorite characters, but don’t wish to ride. The ride track hasn’t changed at all — it follows the same route as before and it’s still a little herky-jerky. However, the sights and signs along the ride have been updated to feature Muppets-specific nods, going along with the new storyline. The ride exit So if you’re going to Hollywood Studios soon, make sure to check out this ride! We’re sure we’ll hear more opinions from fans online but you never truly know how you feel until you experience it yourself. Disney Springs is dangerous. Not “villain monologue in a thunderstorm” dangerous. More like “I went in for one snack and somehow purchased dinner, dessert, a candle, a novelty mug, and a moral lesson about budgeting” dangerous. Disney Springs But here’s the thing. Disney Springs can also be one of the sneakiest places to SAVE money on food and drinks in Disney World, if you know exactly where to go, when to show up, and which menu to ask for. Because happy hour at Disney Springs is not always obvious. Sometimes it only happens at the bar. Sometimes it is only available on weekdays. Sometimes the food deals are hiding on a separate menu, lurking quietly like the world’s most delicious secret handshake. Speakeasy Vibes at Enzo’s Hideaway That is exactly why we track this stuff in the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining. We’re talking happy hour times, locations, menus, rules, and the tiny details that can turn “we accidentally spent $90 on appetizers” into “look at us, fiscally responsible and full of potatoes.” So today, we’re highlighting three of the BEST happy hour food deals currently available in Disney Springs. This is just a taste. The full buffet of happy hour intel is waiting for you in the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining House of Blues Let’s begin with a happy hour deal that understands the assignment. At House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, the Sticky BBQ Ribs are available during happy hour for $12 at the bar. Happy hour is currently listed for Monday through Thursday from open to 5PM, which makes this a very nice move if you’re doing a late lunch, early dinner, or that weird Disney vacation meal where your body has lost all concept of time and a 3:47PM plate of ribs feels completely correct. House of Blues Normally, barbecue ribs at House of Blues can cost a whole lot more if you’re ordering from the regular menu. So getting a happy hour portion for $12 is the kind of Disney Springs math we actually like. And yes, this is also a reminder that happy hour is not just about cocktails. We love a discounted drink as much as the next person, but the FOOD deals are where things can get really interesting. Green Gator Cocktail This one is especially useful if you’re grazing your way through Disney Springs instead of committing to a full sit-down meal. Maybe you split the ribs, grab another small bite, and then go wander dramatically past Gideon’s like you are not emotionally affected by cookies the size of paving stones. But here’s where the DFB Guide comes in clutch: happy hours can be location-specific, bar-only, day-specific, and occasionally blessed with menu changes. You do not want to stroll into Disney Springs assuming the ribs fairy will simply appear. The Guide keeps all those times and details organized so you’re not playing detective while hungry. Patatas Bravas at Jaleo The next deal is for people who understand that potatoes are one of civilization’s finest achievements. At Jaleo by José Andrés, the Patatas Bravas are one of those dishes that sound simple until you eat them and remember that fried potatoes, spicy tomato sauce, and aioli are basically a tiny parade. During Jaleo’s Sangría Hour, which is currently listed daily from 11:30AM to 6PM at the bar, these can be one of the smartest little orders in Disney Springs. Jaleo The deal we’re watching here is the Patatas Bravas for $5, which is a major win compared to the usual full-menu price. And frankly, a $5 dish at Disney Springs that doesn’t involve sad napkins and emotional compromise? We listen. This is also the kind of happy hour deal that feels fancy without requiring you to commit to a full Jaleo meal. Jaleo is wonderful, but it can become a full tapas adventure very quickly. One minute you’re ordering potatoes, the next minute the table is covered in tiny plates and someone has said, “Should we just get paella?” That’s how they get you. Deliciously, but still. Patatas Bravas Sangría Hour lets you sample the vibe, enjoy a really good snack, and maybe pair it with sangria if that is where the afternoon is taking you. We respect the journey. Cheers! This is also a great example of why happy hour research matters. Disney Springs has a lot of restaurants with excellent food, but the best deals are not always screaming from the main menu. Sometimes the smartest order is tucked into a bar-only special with a very specific time window. This is why the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining is such a useful planning tool. We do the menu spelunking so you can show up informed, confident, and ready to order potatoes like a professional. Japanese A5 Wagyu Taco at STK Orlando And now we arrive at the happy hour deal that sounds fake until you see it on the menu. At STK Orlando, happy hour includes $3, $6, and $9 bites, and one of the $9 options is a Japanese A5 Wagyu Taco. A $9 A5 Wagyu taco. In Disney Springs. At STK. That sentence feels like it should be followed by a tiny legal disclaimer and a trumpet flourish. Japanese A5 Wagyu Tacos STK is known for being one of the pricier restaurants in Disney Springs. This is a steakhouse with big celebration-dinner energy, date-night lighting, and menus that can make your wallet sit up straighter. But happy hour is where STK becomes much more approachable. STK Orlando Currently, STK lists happy hour at the bar, lounge, and patio areas, with afternoon windows on weekdays and weekends, plus late-night happy hour on select nights. That location detail matters because this is not necessarily a “sit down anywhere and get the happy hour price” situation. You need to know where the deal applies. And that is exactly the kind of detail we put in the DFB Guide. The Wagyu taco is not necessarily going to replace a full meal, unless your meal plan is “one luxurious bite and then I’m going to pretend I’m above ordering fries.” But as a way to try STK without committing to a full steakhouse bill? This is excellent. Wagyu for Happy Hour?! It’s also a great pick for a Disney Springs crawl. Start with one happy hour bite here, another somewhere else, maybe a drink in between, and suddenly you’ve built your own progressive dinner without requiring a reservation spreadsheet and three backup plans. Full spread at STK This is the kind of deal that makes us want to shout, “Please stop paying full price for everything just because you didn’t know this existed.” Which brings us, once again, to the Guide. Why You Need the DFB Guide Before Your Next Disney Springs Night Here’s the problem with happy hour in Disney Springs: it changes. Menus change. Times change. Restaurants add deals, remove deals, adjust prices, and tuck specials into corners of the internet where only the brave and aggressively caffeinated can find them. A new covered patio And when you’re actually on vacation, you do not want to spend your afternoon cross-checking restaurant pages, Instagram posts, PDFs, and menus while someone in your travel party says, “Can we just pick somewhere?” every 34 seconds. That is how people end up overpaying for food they didn’t even really want. The DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining is built to help you avoid that exact vacation nonsense. We track Disney World dining details because we are deeply committed to two things: good snacks and avoiding preventable chaos. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Inside the Guide, you’ll find happy hour times and information for Disney Springs restaurants, along with tons of dining details for the rest of Disney World. That means you can plan smarter, compare options faster, and avoid wandering into a restaurant at 6:07PM only to discover the deal ended at 6PM and your savings have vanished into the Florida humidity. That pain is specific. We do not recommend it. Martini hour! Whether you’re looking for a full meal, a snack crawl, a pre-dinner drink, or a way to make Disney Springs feel a little less financially feral, the Guide is your shortcut. Because yes, Disney Springs can absolutely be expensive. But with the right info, it can also be one of the best places to find surprisingly good dining deals. The Final Call If you’re heading to Disney Springs, don’t assume happy hour is just a drink discount and a basket of forgotten bar snacks. Some of these deals are legitimately useful. Sticky BBQ Ribs for $12 at House of Blues? Great. Patatas Bravas for $5 at Jaleo? Yes, potatoes, we are listening. A $9 Japanese A5 Wagyu Taco at STK? That is the kind of menu math we will be discussing for the rest of the afternoon. House of Blues But the key is knowing when to go, where to sit, and what to order. That’s where the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining comes in. We’ve packed it with the happy hour details, dining info, restaurant tips, and planning help you need before your next trip. So before you wander into Disney Springs hungry and uninformed, grab the Guide. Your future self, probably holding a discounted snack and feeling extremely pleased, will thank you. It’s time to play the music, and it’s time to light the lights, because the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Annual Passholder previews are here! Let’s ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Disney Annual Passholders, the time has come for you to ride the brand-new version of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. We’ve gotten the chance to check out the attraction, and now it’s your turn! It’s been a while since we’ve done the virtual queue for an attraction at Disney World, so how about we give you a little refresher on how you can get on the ride! We understand that sometimes virtual queues for attractions can be stressful. If you don’t know where to go, what to do, or what time to do it, then you start to get a little anxious. Don’t worry, we’re here to guide you through a step-by-step process on how you can join the queue for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets and guarantee a ride this weekend. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets The first thing you need to know is that THREE virtual queues will open throughout the day. We recommend trying to get the first one, then the second, then the third. It gives you the most amount of chances to get on the ride. If you just wait until the third window, and you don’t get in the queue, then that was your only chance of the day. The Penguins! The three opportunities to join the queue each day are at 7 AM, 11 AM, and 3 PM. If you’re going to attempt joining the 7 AM queue, you need to have a valid park reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’re going to try to join for 11 AM, Passholders just need to have a reservation for ANY park for that day, but can join from anywhere. Don’t forget that you need to scan in to the park with your reservation before heading to Hollywood Studios. If you are going for the 3 PM queue, no reservation is required as long as you have a valid park admission; you can join from anywhere! This is a job for a SUPER STRETCH Limo… Alright, now that you know the time windows and how you are eligible to join them, let’s look at how to actually join the virtual queue. First, you will need the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the home page, and you’ll find “Join the Virtual Queue for an Annual Passholder“. Click on “Join Virtual Queue“. ©Disney Once you get through there, you’ll see the “Annual Passholder Previews of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets” under Hollywood Studios’ attractions. The page will show the next opening queue time, and below it will say “Confirm Your Party“. ©Disney Once you get through there, the next page will show you the party members joining your virtual queue for the ride. If you need to add or remove any party members, you can do so by clicking “Edit“. ©Disney We like to get on this screen a few minutes before the time we’re going for, just to increase our chance of joining the queue. Once you’re on this page, just keep clicking refresh until a minute before the scheduled time. Eventually, you’ll see “Join Virtual Queue” pop up. Click it…and click it FAST! ©Disney If you’re able to get into the virtual queue, it will take you to this final screen saying “You’re in a Boarding Group!” It will tell you information like what group number you’re in, how long you’ll have to wait, and the party members included in your group. Don’t worry, you won’t have to physically stand in line for say “235 minutes”, that’s just how long you’ll have to wait to be called to the attraction. ©Disney Annual Passholder previews for the new ride are running from May 21st through May 23rd. We hope this helps, and good luck with the virtual queue process. For more Disney tips and tricks, make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog! If this show sounds familiar, it’s because you may have heard of the Disneyland version. It features a lot of upbeat music and opportunities to dance with Mickey Mouse and friends. The story behind the show is that Mickey and Minnie are going on a road trip to find some of their best friends, like Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto, for a big party. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! When the show officially opens, it will play eight times a day at the following times: 10:15 AM, 11:05 AM, 11:55 AM, 12:45 PM, 2:35 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:20 PM, and 5:10 PM. The seating area After saving Goofy from a plumbing problem, Daisy from a power outage, and Pluto from being snowed in, everyone is eventually reunited for a high-energy finale! Mickey’s friends! There are SO many fun songs and dances throughout this show, and we think little ones will love it especially, though it’s definitely fun for the whole family. The show has a runtime of around 20 minutes, so keep that in mind before you head into the theater. If you ask us, it makes for a perfect break from the heat! Air-conditioning, aw yeah! Theater entrance This show is the first offering in the new Walt Disney Studios part of the park. The courtyard of The Walt Disney Studios soft opened with the show, but the main attraction here, The Magic of Disney Animation, is slated to open in late summer. That attraction is in the former home of Star Wars: Launch Bay and will feature drawing classes, character meets, an Alice in Wonderland-inspired playground, and more. “Olaf Draws” Concept Art ©Disney We’ll be keeping an eye out for those openings and will keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more. If you LIVE for short lines, minimal crowds, and the vibe of Disney World after dark, this one’s for you! Magic Kingdom After Hours Looking for a way to beat the crowds AND the summer sun in Disney World? Well then, you’re in luck, because there are FIVE different After Hours events happening in Disney World this June! Without further ado, let’s review all of the After Hours events you can choose from next month! Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Enjoy Magic Kingdom attractions with minimal waits during the After Hours Events at Magic Kingdom! This is a separately ticketed event priced at $175 to $199 per person, depending on the date. And, even though the event is pricey, you get a LOT of great perks and entertainment for the price of admission! After Hours The event takes place on select nights from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Plus, you can get a head start by entering Magic Kingdom as early as 7:00 PM for a few bonus hours before the event officially begins! The Magic Kingdom After Hours dates for next month are June 1st, 22nd, and 29th. Magic Kingdom After Hours The capacity for this special event is limited so crowds are SUPER low. During After Hours, guests can ride over 20 Magic Kingdom attractions (including TRON Lightcycle / Run). And, in case the short waits for rides didn’t have you sold already, guests can also enjoy an After Hours EXCLUSIVE firework show: Enchantment! Magic Kingdom After Hours To top it all off, the event also includes unlimited free ice cream, popcorn, and drinks! Capacity for these events is super limited to keep the crowds low, so be sure to snag your tickets ASAP since they can sell out! Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park that gets in on the After Hours fun! Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios also gives you the chance to enjoy many of the attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with minimal lines. Ticket prices for this one range from $155 to $189 per person, depending on the date. After Hours Event On most dates, the event runs from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM (which is the case for all of the June dates), and you can also enter as early as 7:00 PM, just like in Magic Kingdom. The Hollywood Studios After Hours dates for next month are June 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. Toy Story Mania After Hours As is the trend for After Hours events, capacity for this super is limited, which means little to no wait for most of the attractions that are open! The available attractions are subject to change, but the ones Disney lists include Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, among others. And if you like Character Greetings, be sure to keep an eye out for surprise characters that “roam the streets of Hollywood!” Crowds during Hollywood Studios After Hours Ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select drinks are included in Hollywood Studios as well, so you can keep yourself fueled during the event! Again, just make sure to lock down those tickets as soon as your plans are set, since dates do sell out. Disney After Hours at EPCOT Next up, EPCOT also offers After Hours events, similar to the ones in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios! Tickets for Disney After Hours at EPCOT range from $155 to $179 per person, depending on the date. EPCOT After Hours EPCOT’s After Hours events take place from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, and (you guessed it) you can enter the park as early as 7:00 PM with your event ticket. Next month’s EPCOT After Hours dates are June 11th and 18th. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Also similar to the other parks, the limited capacity offers easy access to attractions open during the event. Of course, they are subject to change, but the list includes headliner rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Soarin’, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen Ever After, to name a few. Other entertainment includes character meet and greets and a DJ in World Discovery! Mickey’s Ice Cream Bar You can also snag those ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select drinks included with the price of your ticket. And, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, remember to buy your tickets as early as possible in case dates start to sell out! Millennials across the country are preparing to head to their local movie theater for one reason and one reason only… @Disney …Toy Story 5! That’s right, seven years after Toy Story 4, the toys are BACK! The new film hits theaters on June 19th, 2026, and is all about toys vs. technology. Multiple new characters are being introduced in this sequel, including a new villain, of course. But, ahead of the movie’s premiere, make sure you keep an eye out around Disney parks for some NEW looks on your favorite Toy Story characters! Jessie is rocking a new Sheriff badge, Woody has a fashionable scarf bandana, and Buzz has a shiny new star sticker badge on his spacesuit, too. Looks like we’ll be seeing some updated looks on these characters in the new Toy Story 5 movie, and we can’t wait! Woody and Jessie at Magic Kingdom The new movie is set to be released in theaters on June 19th, 2026. Disney teased that the film will follow the toys as they find their jobs to be harder than ever as they compete with electronics. The film is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton, who shared, “Through the experiences of these toys, we’ve learned about loyalty and belonging and friendship, and these characters give a perspective about growing up and navigating life.” ©Disney Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, previously spoke about the new movie as well, explaining that the movie will largely focus on Jessie. According to Variety, he said, “I can tell you that it’s a lot about Jessie,” adding, “Tom [Hanks] and I do — Woody and I — do realign. And there’s an unbelievable opening scene with Buzz Lightyear. I can give you that, but I can’t give you much more.” ©Disney We’ll be on the lookout for more Toy Story and Disney movie updates you need to know about. A NEW version of a beloved ride is getting ready to open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we’ve got all the details! Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Galaxy’s Edge is getting an update for the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu. The new version of the ride opens on May 22nd and will feature some pretty big changes, like new scenes and some upgrades for the ride’s engineer role. But ahead of the opening of the attraction, we got to learn more about the Easter eggs and hidden details! During a media event, we got the chance to speak with Imagineer Morgan who’s a software designer project manager for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. She revealed to us some things that Star Wars fans will want to look out for, as well as a SECRET mode to unlock while you’re riding! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run First of all, she noted that while riding, you’ll want to pay attention to the signs you pass on Coruscant, as well as any ships you see on Bespin or Coruscant. If you’re familiar with Star Wars ships, you’ll likely spot some that you recognize! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run In addition, while you’re on Coruscant, if you fly to the left, you’ll be able to hear cantina music. We had a hard time getting this one to work for us when we rode the attraction, so we haven’t yet confirmed if this is general cantina music or specifically “Cantina Band” the song itself. New missions on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run But the biggest hidden detail for this ride? GROGU MODE! In order to access this hidden mode of the attraction, you’ll need to have two gunners in your ride vehicle. When you board, each gunner will need to hit their buttons in a specific order. The gunner on the left presses the left-most white button under the screen and then their flashing button. The gunner on the right presses the right-most white button under the screen and then their flashing button. HE’S SO CUTE If you do this, you’ll unlock a version of the ride where Grogu will narrate nearly the entire thing for you. So instead of hearing Mando’s voice throughout, you’ll hear adorable baby alien noises! Mando does step in a few times to give instructions for when to shoot at targets or to let the engineer know to choose the planet for the mission, but it’s mostly just Grogu throughout. We have to help them on their bounty hunt! This version of the ride was seriously so cute and fun, and we’d definitely recommend it for a second or third ride of the new version (you might want to hear the original audio for the new missions first). With these hidden details in mind, this attraction is going to interest Star Wars fans in a whole new way! The hallways of the Falcon We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with any more information you need to know about this ride, as well as the other new attractions opening in Disney World. Disney World is home to numerous iconic restaurants, from heavily themed establishments right out of films to upscale table service eateries that many would think appear “too classy” for a theme park. Chef Mickey! However, for guests visiting Walt Disney World this summer, not all of these iconic eateries are created equal, and guests are skipping out on some well-known restaurants for various reasons. Chef Mickey’s Chef Mickey’s is often a controversial Disney restaurant. On the one hand, the buffet provides basic crowd-pleasing fare, especially for kids, and who doesn’t love seeing Mickey and co. in their chef outfits? On the other hand, the loud environment, the aforementioned basic food, and the general hectic nature of the restaurant make it a skip for many already. Plus, you have other options to meet these characters. Mickey and Minnie, along with their friends, meet with guests at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (and it features different themes, depending on the season). Or you can meet Minnie and her pals at the highly underrated Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. For a more upscale character breakfast, go to Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. We’re also big fans of Garden Grill’s character dining at EPCOT. Chef Mickey’s Buffet On top of all that, guests this summer may further sidestep Chef Mickey’s around brunch hours since it may be more crowded, thanks to the summer-long closure of its neighbor hotel’s Grand Floridian Cafe and its brunch. While the Grand Floridian is offering a replacement brunch at Citricos, it seems likely that more guests would head over to Chef Mickey’s. Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffle Wailulu Bar & Grill We’re big fans of the Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Polynesian Resort’s Island Tower, so this skip isn’t due to the restaurant itself. Rather, it’s all about construction. As part of a larger series of projects at the Polynesian, for the duration of June, updates are being made to the exterior roofing. The restaurant will remain open during the project, but it’s only offering walk-up service until 5:00 PM, with seating from 5:00 PM until closing. Wailulu construction Be Our Guest and The Crystal Palace We’re grouping these two Magic Kingdom restaurants together because two particular groups should probably skip both for the same reason. During the summer of 2026, Disney is hosting two major events: V.I.Passholder Days for Annual Passholders, which runs from May 1st through July 31st, and Welcome Home Weeks for Disney Vacation Club Members from July 22nd through August 26th. Be Our Guest Each event offers a series of benefits to members, including dining discounts. Both Be Our Guest Restaurant (lunch only) and The Crystal Palace offer 20% off to APs and DVC Members. However, other restaurants on the property offer double that! Magic Kingdom’s Crystal Palace During the V.I.Passholder, AP’s can save 40% off at the following restaurants—valid Monday to Thursday only from May 1st through July 31st. Biergarten Restaurant (lunch only) Coral Reef Restaurant (dinner only) Garden Grill Restaurant (lunch and dinner) Hollywood & Vine (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) Tiffins Restaurant (dinner only) Tusker House Restaurant (lunch and dinner) Boatwright’s Dining Hall (dinner only) Cape May Cafe (dinner only) Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood (dinner) Whispering Canyon Cafe (brunch and dinner) Disney World Annual Pass Meanwhile, during Welcome Home Weeks, DVC Members can save 40% off at these eateries from July 22nd to August 26th. Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (lunch & dinner) Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT (lunch) Tiffins Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (dinner) Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT (dinner) Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT (lunch & dinner) Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (brunch & dinner) Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk (breakfast & dinner) ©Disney BONUS: Forced Skips! Guests will also be skipping Yachtsman Steakhouse and Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace this summer… because these eateries at the Yacht Club Resort and the Polynesian Resort are both CLOSED for refurbishment. CLOSED. Due to various reasons, you’re likely best off sidestepping these restaurants during your summer 2026 trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney dining tips! Today is a HUGE day in both Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World and Disneyland Park, because we finally got to see the new changes coming to Smugglers Run! Mando and Grogu are here! We’ve been waiting for this day for MONTHS, ever since we first heard about the changes, and now the day is finally here. Thanks to Disney, we got a first look at the changes for Disneyland’s Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. What’s really changed with this ride? We’re here to take you through it all! Three NEW missions have been added to the attraction, starring none other than The Mandalorian and Grogu! On this new mission, we’ll be heading to Tatooine, where Grogu and Mando will meet us as we try to capture a pirate and two imperial officers, as well as steal any crates they have on them. New missions are here! That’s not all, though! If you’ve ridden this ride previously, you may have always wanted to be a pilot, as they have the most to do (the other two options are gunner and engineer). However, that’s no longer the case, as these changes have made the engineer positions have more say in the adventure. This is so cool! The engineers will be able to communicate with Grogu throughout the mission. The engineer now pretty much has a Grogu cam where you can check in on comms with Grogu, and you get to pick the location that the Falcon goes to. It’s hard to keep your eyes focused on the mission when Grogu is doing so many cute things on the screen beside you. Hi Grogu! Which adventure will you and your crew go on? Your journey could lead you to all sorts of places, which include potential experiences on Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, or the just-announced bustling city-planet, Coruscant. Talking with Mando! We’ve got a feeling the ride will boost in popularity for the next few weeks, thanks to the new adventures, as well as the summer season starting up, so if you’re visiting, we recommend packing your patience. Don’t forget about the Single Rider line available for the attraction, which can be a great way to experience the new version of the ride without waiting for an hour or more. This is amazing! We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney World AND Disneyland news, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! Some Disney World problems are subtle inconveniences. Others kick open the door at 2PM when your MagicBand+ is dead, your phone is at 11%, your kid is eating mac and cheese with a coffee stirrer, the sun is actively trying to turn you into a rotisserie chicken, and the sky has started making those “I’m about to ruin everyone’s stroller” noises. JISULIFE 3 IN 1 Handheld Mini Fan That’s when your park bag stops being a bag and becomes a survival bunker with zippers. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We’re not saying these inexpensive Amazon finds will solve every Disney World problem. They will not make Space Mountain smoother. They will not convince your family to stop arguing about whether Goofy is a dog or not. They will not magically make someone in your group walk faster through the tapstiles. But they will save the day in very specific, very real, very “why didn’t I pack this sooner?” ways. Also, because these are Amazon finds, prices can change faster than someone spotting a low wait time for Peter Pan’s Flight, so check the current price before you commit. Kaizen Kreations MultiCharger for MagicBand Let’s begin with the tiny gadget that exists because Disney gave us a glowing, vibrating, interactive bracelet and then expected us to remember to charge it. The Kaizen Kreations MultiCharger is made for MagicBand+, and it’s one of those products that sounds boring until the exact second your MagicBand+ dies in the middle of your trip. Then suddenly it becomes the tiny plastic hero of the vacation. ©Amazon MagicBand+ can be super fun in the parks. It lights up during fireworks, interacts with certain experiences, and generally behaves like a tiny wrist gremlin with ambition. But unlike the older MagicBands, MagicBand+ needs power. And because Disney World vacation schedules are not exactly gentle, it is very easy to forget to charge it at night. This little charger is especially handy because it can work with a FuelRod or another external battery, so you are not chained to a hotel room outlet. Toss it in your park bag, connect it to a portable charger, and you can give your MagicBand+ some life while you’re waiting for a parade, sitting on the monorail, or pretending everyone is emotionally stable in the Lightning Lane queue. MultiCharger for all your other devices too! It is not the kind of souvenir you display on a shelf. But when your MagicBand+ is dead, and everyone else’s is still blinking along like they own the place, you’ll be glad you brought it. Why it saves the day: Because Disney tech is useful right up until it becomes a decorative bracelet. view ON AMAZON Reusable Travel Utensils Set There are few moments more humbling than balancing a tray of Disney World food, finding the perfect table, opening the bag, and realizing someone forgot the utensils. Now you’re staring at your mac and cheese like it’s a puzzle from an escape room. That is where a reusable travel utensils set earns its keep. ©Amazon This set comes with multiple portable utensil kits, each with its own case, which makes it great for families, couples, or anyone who has ever watched a plastic fork collapse under the pressure of theme park pulled pork. You can keep one in each park bag, stroller organizer, backpack, or purse, and suddenly you are the person who has answers. This is especially useful during festivals at EPCOT, where you may be grazing around the park and dealing with small plates, sauces, toppings, and food that absolutely requires more dignity than eating with a napkin corner. It’s also handy for quick-service meals, hotel leftovers, snacks in the car, and those moments when the provided fork is either missing, flimsy, or shaped like it was designed by someone who has never met rice. We are always testing products! And yes, Disney does have utensils available. Usually. Somewhere. In theory. But when you’re holding hot food, wrangling kids, dodging trays, or trying to eat before your next reservation window, you do not want to go on a fork scavenger hunt through a crowded dining room. The case is the real MVP here. Loose utensils in a park bag are chaos. A fork floating around next to sunscreen, receipts, and a rogue granola bar feels less “prepared traveler” and more “bottom of a pirate ship.” With the case, everything stays clean, contained, and ready to rescue your lunch. Reusable Travel Utensils Set Why it saves the day: Because Disney food is too expensive to be eaten with panic and one sad napkin. view ON AMAZON JISULIFE 3 IN 1 Handheld Mini Fan Portable Fan A Disney World fan is not optional. It is a survival tool. The JISULIFE 3-in-1 Handheld Mini Fan is one of those park bag items we will keep yelling about because Florida does not care about your plans, your outfit, your dining reservation, or your personal comfort. It sees your carefully scheduled day and responds with humidity thick enough to chew. We love this thing! This little fan is compact enough to carry around the parks, but it does more than just blow blessed air at your face while you question your life choices in Frontierland. It also works as a power bank and a flashlight, which is exactly the kind of multitasking we love in a Disney World accessory. The fan part is the obvious win. Use it in outdoor queues, while waiting for cavalcades, during afternoon snack breaks, or while standing in a transportation line that appears to have entered its own geological era. It folds up easily The power bank feature is a nice backup. We would still recommend bringing a dedicated portable charger for your phone if you’re using the Disney World app all day, because that app consumes battery like it has a personal vendetta. But in a pinch, having a fan that can also give your device a little extra juice is extremely useful. And the flashlight? Surprisingly handy. Think dark hotel rooms, stroller searches after fireworks, trying to locate the one dropped earring on a bus floor, or finding the exact pocket where someone shoved the room key even though you had a system. JISULIFE 3 IN 1 Handheld Mini Fan Also, it’s pink, which means it has the audacity to be useful and cute. We respect efficiency in a pretty outfit. Why it saves the day: Because “I’m fine” in Disney World summer usually means “please point a fan at my face before I merge with the park pavement.” view ON AMAZON BAODINI Travel Essentials Mini Umbrella Here is the thing about Disney World weather: it has range. One minute, you are being roasted under a sun that feels personally invested in your downfall. Ten minutes later, the sky opens, and everyone is suddenly sprinting toward the nearest gift shop like ponchos are a limited-edition popcorn bucket. ©Amazon The BAODINI Mini Umbrella is compact enough to fit in a purse, backpack, or park bag without taking up the kind of space usually reserved for snacks and emergency ibuprofen. It also comes with a case, which matters because nobody wants to shove a wet umbrella into a bag full of phone chargers, receipts, and half a cookie. The obvious use is rain, of course. Afternoon storms are a Disney World tradition, right up there with sore feet and someone insisting they “don’t need sunscreen.” A small umbrella can make the difference between “minor inconvenience” and “why are my socks wet inside my shoes?” BAODINI Travel Mini Umbrella But the UV sun protection angle is also important. A compact umbrella can give you a little personal shade while you’re waiting outside, watching a parade, standing in a long bus line, or trying to survive the walk across a resort parking lot. Will you look dramatic? Maybe. Will you be cooler and drier than the person who mocked you for packing it? Almost certainly. The key here is size. A huge umbrella is annoying in crowds and can become a social hazard if you’re not careful. A tiny compact umbrella is easier to manage and much better for quick use. Just be considerate in tight spaces and crowded viewing areas. We are saving the day, not blocking someone’s fireworks view with a personal weather dome. ©Amazon Why it saves the day: Because Florida weather likes to improvise, and unfortunately, it is very committed to the bit. view ON AMAZON The Tiny Stuff Matters More Than You Think The best Disney World packing items are not always flashy. They are not always cute. They do not always make for glamorous “pack with me” content. Sometimes the best things in your park bag are the small, inexpensive items that quietly keep your day from collapsing into a sweaty, snack-covered puddle. Reusable Travel Utensils Set A MagicBand+ charger. A set of reusable utensils. A handheld fan. A compact umbrella. None of these are dramatic until you need them. Then suddenly, they become the reason your afternoon does not turn into a cautionary tale. So yes, pack the ears. Pack the matching shirts if that is your family’s joy. Pack the Loungefly, the sunscreen, the snacks, the backup snacks, and the backup snacks’ emotional support snacks. But also pack the practical little Amazon finds that handle the tiny disasters before they become full-blown vacation folklore. Folded up – yes, it has little Mickey ears! Your future self, probably sitting on a curb in EPCOT with a working fan and a real fork, will be deeply grateful. Setting sail on a Disney Cruise is absolutely magical, but sometimes, you just want to treat yourself to something a little more…extra. Get ready to set sail! Trust us, there are plenty of ways to do just that while on board any of the amazing Disney cruise ships. If you’re looking to indulge in the finer things while onboard, we’ve got the five splurge-worthy ideas to add to your next Disney cruise. 1. Tastings There are several tastings that you can add to your cruise itinerary. Beverage tastings depend on the Disney ship, but some options you could add are Beer Tastings, Bourbon Tastings, Rum Tastings, Mixology Classes, and Chocolate & Liquor Tastings. Chocolate and Liqueur Tasting on Disney Dream Once your cruise is paid in full and your booking window opens (based on your Castaway Club membership level), you can reserve your bourbon tasting right through your Disney Cruise Line account. These offerings do fill up quickly. The beverage tastings are an additional-cost experience, with pricing typically ranging from about $40 to $45 per adult, depending on the class and ship. Tastings are a great splurge 2. Beer and Wine Packages While Disney Cruise Line does not have drink packages like you might expect from other cruise lines, there are a few options. If you are sharing with others, this could be a great splurge. Wine packages are available in the main dining rooms. These typically include a set number of bottles that are served with your dinner. You can purchase these through Onboard Gifts before you board the ship or at dinner once your cruise sets sail. Wine on Disney Dream If you enjoy a frothy ale or brew, the Refillable Beer Mug may interest you. With this, you get a 21 oz mug, which is refilled on the cruise for the cost of a 16 oz beer at any bar or restaurant on the ship that serves draft beer. You can get a beer mug token to carry with you when ordering to get the special mug size. Then, at the end of the cruise, you get a mug as a souvenir! Similar to the wine package, you can order ahead through Onboard Gifts or purchase it on board. A limited-edition beer mug will be available at all bar locations aboard the Disney Destiny during its inaugural season, while supplies last. (Kent Phillips, photographer) 3. Adults-Only Dining There are several adult-only dining options on Disney Cruise Line. For example, you can dine at Palo or Palo Steakhouse. This elegant, adults-only restaurant serves up Italian-inspired dishes that will have you dreaming about them long after you disembark. Whether you opt for a delicious brunch or a romantic dinner with ocean views, Palo is worth every penny. Reservations go fast, so be sure to book early! Paleo Steakhouse on Disney Wish There is also Enchante and Remy, which are adult-only restaurants serving French cuisine. Pricing can vary depending on your order, but there are pre fixe options available starting at $55 per person. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a date night on board, these restaurants will deliver. Enchanté on the Disney Treasure 4. Fancy Coffee Need a little caffeine boost between all those onboard activities? Disney Cruise Line has several cafes that offer specialty espresso drinks, teas, and pastries. Now regular coffee is included as part of your cruise fare, but if you want a “fancy” coffee like a latte, cappuccino, or something else, don’t skip out on these cafes. Salted Caramel and Coconut Latte Our favorite part is the fun characters that can be printed on top of the foam! On the Disney Adventure, we found the best coffee! Bacha Coffee is located on Deck 7, right near TWG Coffee, and across from Diamonds & Wishes. This company has been around since 1910, but this is the first time they’ve ever been aboard a Disney ship. This Disney Coffee Experience LITERALLY Changed Us Bacha Coffee on Disney Adventure 5. Spa Nothing says vacation mode quite like a trip to the spa! Senses Spa & Salon offers everything from luxurious massages and facials to hair treatments if you want to glam up for a formal night. For the ultimate splurge, book a Rainforest Room pass — this serene space includes heated loungers, aromatherapy showers, and private hot tubs overlooking the ocean. Senses Spa on the Disney Wish As someone who just had a massage at Senses Spa, I can tell you it was my favorite splurge on the cruise. It is relaxing and made me feel ready to start the vacation! The prices can range depending on your service, and these can be booked ahead of time. Senses Spa We hope you keep these in mind for your next Disney Cruise to add a little more magic to your vacation. For more Disney Cruise tips, be sure to follow us at DFB!
