  1. Over the last decade, Mobile Order has become a MAJOR part of the Walt Disney World experience. Mobile Order During that time, we’ve discovered quite a few Mobile Order hacks that make the system even more helpful! Hit “I’m Here” Early As anyone who has used Disney’s Mobile Order before knows, you’re supposed to click the “I’m Here” button when you arrive at the restaurant to pick up your food. If you hit the button about five minutes before you actually walk up to the restaurant, it can make a huge difference, as by the time you arrive, your food will probably already be prepped for pickup. Pickup Window It might not sound like much, but five minutes here and there adds up — especially on those days when your whole schedule is packed. That said, don’t hit it too early; you don’t want your food to get cold or soggy. Mobile Order Takeout From Table Service Spots Beyond quick-service spots, several Disney World hotel table-service restaurants allow food to be ordered to go. For example, you can Mobile Order from places like Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge or Kona Café at the Polynesian, pick it up, and eat wherever you want. Want to have a little picnic outside? Cool. Want to bring your food back to your room in your pajamas? Even better. This is a solid option for anyone who doesn’t want to lock into a full sit-down dining experience but still wants something a step above standard quick service. Kona Cafe Want to know which table service restaurants offer Mobile Order, and which are best to try in general? Our Guide to Disney World Dining pulls it all together so you can stop stressing and focus on the fun without feeling like you’re missing a thing! Mobile Order for Your Hotel Room Indulging in a late-night snack at a Disney World hotel can be a bit tricky. Quick-service dining locations and food courts at Disney hotels generally close at 11 PM, while table service dining seating generally ends at 10:00 PM. So, depending on a guest’s hotel’s location and which park they’re coming from, they may not be able to stay until close and make it back to their resort in time for a snack. In addition, outside of the Grand Floridian, no Disney-owned Disney World hotels offer room service, so that option’s out. Oh how we miss room service! You could DoorDash or Uber Eats from a non-Disney property, but you can also go another route. As you’re making your way out of whichever park, you can Mobile Order snacks to bring back to your room. Say, sweets from the Main Street Confectionery, like candy, cookies, candy apples, and treats you can snack on later, or Karamell-Küche in EPCOT for caramel popcorn, cookies, and caramel-covered everything. Simply grab on your way out, and enjoy back at your room. In the bakery cases Curious if those snacks are Disney Dining Plan eligible? That’s why we created this Disney Dining Plan Guide! It walks you through how it actually works, which restaurants give you the best value, and how to make the most of every credit. 2. Is there anything better than a good Disney Springs snack? From savory items to sweet delights, there is a little something for everyone in Disney’s shopping and dining district. The Blueberry Thyme Tart One thing we love doing is going on a hunt for the best restaurants, newest snacks, must-have drinks, and more in and around Disney World. Our latest stop took us to an underrated gem, and we might have fallen in love with this limited-time pastry. Welcome to The Basket at Wine Bar George! This walk-up stand is connected to one of our favorite table service restaurants in Disney Springs, and it is way too overlooked in our opinion. This spot has drinks, entrees, and snacks that impress us nearly every time, so when we saw there was a new pastry, we knew we had to try it! The Basket at Wine Bar George We grabbed the new Blueberry Thyme Tart for $10. Is it too much to say we might have fallen in love with this new snack? This is the June pastry (so it’s only around for this month), and it’s made with flaky puff pastry filled with blueberry jam and a hint of thyme. The new tart! We were seriously impressed with this treat! The outside was flaky with a gooey inside. The blueberry was sweet and tart, but it did overpower the thyme in our opinion. There were whole pieces of blueberry inside the butter pastry. The pastry was really nice because it was just salty enough to balance well with the sweet filling. How the pastry is served. There’s an icing on top that also helps to balance the tart blueberry flavor, but it was subtle and not too sweet. This one was a bit sticky after enjoying it, so grab some extra napkins and hand sanitizer. The pastry was large for the price, and we are seriously hoping they bring this back even when June is over. Inside the pastry! This item is only available on Saturdays and Sundays in limited quantities, so if you really want to try it, go there earlier in the day. You can check out more of our Disney Springs reviews here. 3. When it comes to Walt Disney World’s theme parks, EPCOT stands alone as being the only one to feature two entrances: The park’s main entrance in front of Spaceship Earth, and the International Gateway, which sits near the France Pavilion in World Showcase. International Gateway While the Gateway has been in place for decades, it was mainly used as an entrance for hotels within walking or boat distance of the back of the park… until 2019. That’s when the Walt Disney World Skyliner opened, allowing guests from Pop Century, Art of Animation, the Riviera Resort, the Caribbean Beach Resort, and Hollywood Studios to enter through the entrance. While that has made traveling to EPCOT more convenient for many guests, it can also lead to some interesting issues… like almost getting locked out of the park and being unable to return to your car! Last summer, one of our team members spent a day at EPCOT before leaving through the International Gateway to walk to the nearby Boardwalk Resort for a dining reservation at the Cake Bake Shop that night. Cake Bake Shop Initially, things went well… until they ordered dessert. That’s when they realized that by the time they ate said desserts, they’d be at the restaurant past closing time. The issue? Their car was parked in EPCOT’s parking lot… outside the park’s front entrance! Plus, they’d stored some belongings in one of the park’s lockers. In other words, if they didn’t get back in the park, they’d have massive problems! Lockers in EPCOT In the case of our team member, they let their server know what was going on, and the Cake Back Shop staff was super-accommodating. They packed the cake slices to-go, and our team member and their party were able to cross back into EPCOT with only MINUTES to spare before park closing! In fact, they enjoyed their Cake Bake slices while watching the Luminous fireworks, turning a potentially stressful situation into a magical moment. They are pretty good cakes However, what if they hadn’t made it? What options would they — or someone else in that situation — have if they did miss the cutoff and find themselves outside of EPCOT? Well, first off, they could have explained the situation to guest relations over at the International Gateway to figure out a solution for getting back their stuff and their car from the parking lot. International Gateway If they were unable to get into the park, they could have made arrangements to pick up their belongings the next day, and a rideshare service like Uber to pick them up from the Boardwalk and take them back over to the front of the park to reach their vehicle at least. Disney doesn’t want you to be stranded, so they will do their best to make sure you’re able to get back to your car so you can get home or to your hotel! Rideshare sign at EPCOT EPCOT’s International Gateway provides a unique access point to EPCOT for guests at nearby hotels as well as those on the Skyliner route. However, if you find yourself leaving the park to dine at a nearby resort, be sure to keep your eye on the clock to avoid getting locked out of the park if your belongings or vehicle are still on the other side. 6. The battle for the perfect pool chair has officially reached a breaking point. ©NYP If you’ve ever taken a cruise, there’s a good chance you’ve witnessed the infamous “chair hog” phenomenon. Guests claim prime poolside loungers early in the morning with a towel, flip-flops, or a random personal item, only to disappear for hours while everyone else circles the deck looking for a place to sit. Now, one major cruise line is taking action, and passengers are applauding the move. Here’s what’s happening and why travelers are paying attention. The Cruise Chair Problem Isn’t New For years, cruise passengers have complained about guests reserving pool chairs they aren’t actively using. The routine is pretty familiar. Someone wakes up early, places a towel or personal belongings on a lounger, and then vanishes to breakfast, a shore excursion, or another part of the ship. Meanwhile, other guests struggle to find available seating despite seeing rows of apparently occupied chairs sitting empty. It’s become one of the most debated cruise etiquette issues online, sparking countless discussions across social media. ©NYP Norwegian Cruise Line Is Finally Enforcing Its Rules According to recent passenger reports, Norwegian Cruise Line is taking a more active approach to stopping chair hogging aboard some of its ships. Travelers sailing on the Norwegian Escape reported that crew members have been monitoring unattended loungers and marking chairs that appear to be reserved but unused. If the chairs remain unoccupied after a set period of time, crew members remove the belongings so other guests can use the space. ©NYP What makes this notable is that the policy itself isn’t new. Norwegian has long stated that pool and deck chairs cannot be reserved. The difference is that passengers are now seeing active enforcement rather than just written rules. That shift is earning praise from many cruisers who feel the practice has gotten out of control. Passengers Are Divided, But Most Seem Relieved As you might expect, the internet has plenty of opinions. Many travelers support the crackdown, saying it creates a fairer experience for everyone on board. Some guests have shared stories about entire sections of pool decks appearing “occupied” for hours even though nobody was actually using the chairs. ©NYP Others argue that passengers shouldn’t touch someone else’s belongings and that crew members should be the ones handling any enforcement. That seems to be exactly what Norwegian is trying to accomplish by having staff manage the process directly. One sentiment appears repeatedly across cruise discussions: travelers are tired of seeing a small number of guests monopolize some of the most desirable spots on the ship. There’s a Big Difference Between Saving a Chair and Abandoning One One reason this debate continues is because not every situation is the same. Most passengers agree that briefly stepping away from a chair to swim, grab a drink, or use nearby amenities isn’t a problem. The frustration usually starts when a lounger sits empty for an hour or more while personal items act as placeholders. ©Norwegian Cruise Line Many cruisers feel that if you’re actively enjoying the pool area, your chair should remain yours. If you’re spending an extended period elsewhere on the ship, however, that chair should be available for another guest to enjoy. That’s where timestamp systems and monitored enforcement can help create clearer expectations for everyone. What This Could Mean for Future Cruises As cruise ships continue sailing at high occupancy levels, shared spaces become even more valuable. Pool decks, especially on sea days, are some of the busiest areas onboard. If Norwegian’s enforcement efforts continue receiving positive feedback, other cruise lines may feel pressure to take similar steps. After all, a pool chair isn’t much use to anyone when it’s occupied by nothing more than a towel and a pair of sunglasses. For now, many travelers are celebrating what they see as a common-sense solution to one of cruising’s most frustrating habits. The biggest takeaway? Cruise lines are starting to recognize that chair hogging affects the guest experience, and some are finally willing to do something about it. 8. Shhh! We’re going to let you in on a little secret! Yak and Yeti Something we love at Disney World is the secret menu items, and when we discover a new one, we have to make it a little less secret and share it here with you. This time, we’re heading to Animal Kingdom, where there are four new secret drinks we just can’t get enough of. At Yak and Yeti, we grabbed the Blueberry Zen for $18, made with Tito’s Vodka, Cointreau, blueberry, lemon, pineapple, and orange citrate. Blueberry Zen The orange was really the star here! It tasted like the part of the orange where the orange ends and the rind begins. The vodka was subtle with a slight burn, and the pineapple and blueberry also had their moments to come through. The blueberry was not a main flavor, but the other ones were quite enjoyable together. It wasn’t as sweet as we might have preferred, and we wouldn’t call it a fruity drink, despite the description. That being said, if you want a simpler drink that’s pretty, this could be the one for you. Looking pretty Blueberry Zen is one of the four new drinks available on the secret menu! The others include: Camp VI made with Old Forester Bourbon, yuzu simple syrup, and habanero shrub Scorpion Sting made with Milagaro Tequila, Cointreau, yuzu, cucumber, lime, and siracha Ridgeline made with Tito’s Vodka, Licor 43, pandan extract, espresso, simple syrup While you can grab a reservation at Yak and Yeti, they also have a walk-up bar if you’re just looking for a drink. We do this when we want a quick bite and don’t always want to wait for a table. If you are looking for a table, though, Landry’s Members get priority seating. The membership costs $20, and you get a $20 reward! They also have a quick service spot for good to-go. 11. Disney World food math is a dangerous little hobby. One minute you’re buying a Mickey pretzel because it “doesn’t count as lunch,” and the next minute you’re staring at a table-service receipt, wondering if the Beast personally embroidered the napkins with gold thread. Cinderella Castle But Annual Passholders, this is one of those rare moments when the numbers get a little friendlier. As part of Disney World’s V.I.Passholder Summer Days, Passholders can save 20% at two Magic Kingdom restaurants that are normally…well, let’s call them “financially dramatic.” We’re talking about Be Our Guest Restaurant and The Crystal Palace. And no, this does not magically make either one cheap. This is still Magic Kingdom. Your wallet is still entering a theme park, quaking with existential dread. But if you’ve been curious about either restaurant, or if your family already had one of these on the must-do list, this discount may make the splurge easier to swallow. Be Our Guest Let’s talk about where the deal works, where it doesn’t, and who should actually book it. The Deal Annual Passholders can save 20% at Be Our Guest Restaurant and The Crystal Palace during V.I.Passholder Summer Days. Let’s take a look at the fine print before we get our autograph books and our appetites ready. Castle entrance The offer is valid Monday through Thursday only from May 1st through July 31st, 2026. There are meal-period rules: Be Our Guest Restaurant is included for lunch only. The Crystal Palace is included for lunch and dinner. The discount applies to the regular price of food and nonalcoholic beverages. It does not apply to tax or gratuity. Disney also notes that some menu items may be excluded, and the discount cannot be combined with another discount, offer, or promotion. Special events and dining packages are excluded, and the discount is generally available for the Passholder and up to three Guests unless otherwise noted. You’ll need to show your valid Annual Pass ID in the Tickets and Passes section of the My Disney Experience app, plus a valid photo ID. You’ll also need a valid park admission, and depending on the day and your admission type, you may need a theme park reservation. The rules are nesting dolls today. Be Our Guest Restaurant Be Our Guest is one of those restaurants that sounds absolutely essential the first time you plan a Disney World trip. You get to eat inside the Beast’s Castle. You can dine in the Grand Ballroom, the West Wing, or the Rose Gallery. There’s snow falling outside the windows. There’s a giant Beauty and the Beast atmosphere machine running at full blast. It is easily one of the most impressively themed restaurants in Magic Kingdom. And that is the main reason to go. Be Our Guest Our stance on Be Our Guest is pretty simple: go for the setting, go for the experience, go if you have a Beauty and the Beast fan in the group who will talk about it for the next three years. Do not go expecting the best meal in Magic Kingdom based on food alone. This is a prix-fixe restaurant, which means you are locked into a full meal instead of casually ordering one entrée and calling it a day. The food can be good, and there are certainly dishes we like, but the price has always made this one harder to recommend unless the castle setting is part of the value for you. Prix-Fixe Meal at Be Our Guest Restaurant And that’s where this discount helps. A 20% discount at lunch does not turn Be Our Guest into a bargain bin find. It is not suddenly the dollar section with chandeliers. But it does soften the blow on a restaurant that can otherwise be tough to justify, especially for repeat visitors who have already taken their ballroom photos and admired the enchanted rose. THE Rose If you have never been, this might be the nudge. Lunch is the only meal included in this offer, and that’s honestly a decent way to use it. You can build a Magic Kingdom day around a late lunch, duck into the air conditioning, get the castle experience, and feel slightly less personally attacked by the final bill. Be Our Guest Who is it good for? First-timers, Beauty and the Beast fans, adults who care about atmosphere, families celebrating something, and Passholders who have avoided it because the price felt like a velvet-rope situation. Who should skip it? Anyone who only cares about getting the best possible food for the money. If you are choosing purely by flavor and value, Magic Kingdom has other options that may fit your day better. Skipper Canteen is still sitting over there with jokes, air conditioning, and actual personality in the menu. REVIEW: The BEST, the WORST, and a HIDDEN GEM Menu Item at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom The Crystal Palace Now let’s move over to The Crystal Palace, which is a very different kind of splurge. This is not dramatic castle dining. This is Pooh and friends, buffet plates, Victorian greenhouse vibes, and families trying to determine whether Tigger has already visited their section or if they somehow missed him while someone was refilling mashed potatoes. Magic Kingdom’s Crystal Palace The Crystal Palace is character dining, which immediately changes the value conversation. If you just want food, there are cheaper ways to eat in Magic Kingdom. There are also faster ways. There are ways that do not involve strategically watching for Piglet while your plate of buffet food slowly cools. But if you want characters, a sit-down break, and a meal that gives kids and nostalgic adults something to do besides ask when the next ride is, The Crystal Palace can make a lot more sense. Hey there Tigger! Our stance here: The Crystal Palace is not where we send someone for culinary fireworks. It is where we send someone who wants a classic Magic Kingdom character meal with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore in a bright, pretty space right off Main Street, U.S.A. That has value. Buffet Character dining can save you time if your group wants photos and interactions without waiting in separate character lines. It also gives you a longer indoor break during a season when Florida weather turns into hot soup with lightning garnish. Appetizers With the Passholder discount, The Crystal Palace becomes easier to recommend for the right group. Not everyone. But the right group. The 20% discount is valid for lunch and dinner here, which gives you a little more flexibility than Be Our Guest. If you’re spending a weekday in Magic Kingdom this summer, this could be a smart midday reset or an early dinner before fireworks madness takes over the park like a stroller traffic spell. All the Signatures Are Right There Lunch may be especially useful if you want to break up the day. Dinner may be better if you want to end the park day with characters and leave before everyone reaches the “why are we all sticky?” stage of Magic Kingdom exhaustion. Who is it good for? Families with kids, Winnie the Pooh fans, character-dining completists, nostalgic adults, and anyone who wants a meal that doubles as entertainment. Who should skip it? Adults who do not care about characters and just want the best food per dollar. You are paying for Pooh. That is the business model. Respect the bear. REVIEW: Do Characters Justify the HUGE Price Increase at Crystal Palace in Disney World? We Found Out. So, Are They Worth It Now? Here’s the honest answer: they are more worth it than they were yesterday, but they are not suddenly must-dos for everyone. Steak Frites Be Our Guest is the better pick if your main goal is atmosphere. The castle is the sell. The discount makes the prix-fixe lunch easier to justify, especially if this is your first visit or a Beauty and the Beast fan is already emotionally committed. The Crystal Palace is the better pick if your group wants characters. The buffet is not the main event. The Hundred Acre Wood crew is. With 20% off lunch or dinner, the overall value gets stronger, especially for families who were already planning to meet characters. Buffet If you are a Passholder visiting Magic Kingdom on a weekday this summer, this is absolutely worth considering. Just book carefully, read the meal-period rules, and don’t assume the discount applies automatically to everything. Disney discounts are wonderful, but they do enjoy arriving with a tiny suitcase full of conditions. Still, 20% off two of Magic Kingdom’s priciest table-service meals? We’ll take it. 12. If you’ve ever flown to the Orlando Airport, you know it can be quite hectic. It’s a big airport with a lot of people, and almost everyone is wearing Mickey ears (us included). Whenever there’s a change at the airport, we’re on high alert because a good change can mean your flying experience goes more smoothly, or you need to be ready for the chaos. Orlando International Airport According to Fox Orlando, Orlando Airport is undergoing some changes, and we’re breaking them down right here! Virgin Atlantic will relocate all arrivals and departures from Terminal A to Terminal C starting on June 30th. ©Virgin Atlantic Terminal C has recently been expanded, adding four new gates to accommodate both narrow-body and widebody aircraft. Virgin Atlantic currently has daily nonstop flights between Orlando and London Heathrow and Manchester, along with a seasonal service to Edinburgh, Scotland. MCO Airport Security The Orlando Airport says this relocation is part of a broader strategy to balance passenger traffic across terminals and improve efficiency at security checkpoints, concessions, and other passenger areas. Rental car services will continue to be available across all three terminals. Orlando International Airport There are tons of changes coming to the Orlando Airport, including parking enhancements, including a $13.9 million Parking Guidance System that will provide real-time information on about 11,000 spaces located throughout the four parking garages, as well as the addition of 8,000 new spaces. If you’ve ever tried to park your car and go inside to pick up someone, you know how the parking spots are almost always full no matter what time of the day! ©Orlando International Airport Orlando Airport is also adding tons of new restaurants, including well-known chains and local spots. Personally, I’m excited to see Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, a local ice cream spot in Orlando, coming to the airport. Who doesn’t like grabbing a sweet treat before heading on their plane? Or maybe after you get off before you hit the waves of humidity! Orlando International Airport shopping That’s just the start of the changes, but the Terminal C expansion is a huge step forward. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more news you need to know before your next trip to the Orlando Airport. We know there’s a lot happening across all Disney Parks, but you didn’t forget about the Spider-Man roller coaster coming to Shanghai Disney Resort, did you? ©Disney Disney just took a HUGE step forward for the roller coaster, and now we’re starting to question if it’s too early to book our plane tickets to Shanghai? The final track piece has been installed on the Spider-Man roller coaster! This coaster is part of the all-new Spider-Man-themed land, and completing track installation is massive. ©Disney The new land is the ninth themed land and is located near the Zootopia land. It will be their first major Marvel offering, and construction started in May 2025, which means they’re working super fast on the project. The roller coaster doesn’t have an official name yet, but we’re really looking forward to learning more. ©Disney The project was announced in 2024 at D23, and with the next D23 coming up in August, we’re hoping for an opening date! ©Disney For Shanghai Disney, this is their third major expansion, and the new land will feature Spider-Man and friends-themed shopping, food and beverage, and entertainment experiences that extend the story and invite you into the Web-Slinger’s world. Doesn’t that sound awesome? ©Disney Two new hotels are also coming to the resort! 16. Shanghai Disney Resort is sharing some MAJOR news about their new upcoming hotel! ©Shanghai Disney Resort This will be the resort’s third hotel on property, and after years of waiting, we finally have some NEW DETAILS about the expansion. Here’s everything we know! Shanghai Disney’s brand-new resort finally has a name! Everyone, say hello to Shanghai Disney Enchanted Star Hotel! In a post online, the Disney resort confirmed the new name and even detailed the inspiration behind the name. The new hotel is inspired by Disney’s famous Wishing Star, and they even gave us a brand-new look at what we can expect to see. ©Disney The Enchanted Star Hotel will be a nine-story deluxe hotel inspired by Shanghai’s architectural legacy and will be decorated in the Art Nouveau style. The hotel’s guiding principle is “authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.” Disney has promised this new hotel will offer an “immersive themed accommodation experience.” In the new concept art, you can see white, green, and gold detailing throughout the exterior. ©Disney This is the third themed hotel on the property, in addition to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel. This hotel first broke ground in 2023, so we have been eagerly awaiting new details! The hotel was previously confirmed to be a deluxe one, and it will have 400 rooms. When it was first confirmed, Disney shared, “The new hotel will immerse guests in spaces and activities which showcase Disney characters and stories, introduce new dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences, and provide more options for guests planning multi-day visits to the resort.” Shanghai Disneyland Hotel ©Shanghai Disney Resort They are also currently developing a fourth hotel in addition to these three. The fourth hotel will be the closest to the park’s Main Gate entrance, and Disney has shared it will welcome its guests into a “premium destination infused with Disney stories and imagination.” The hotel will have an “unprecedented immersive storytelling experience in a way that Disney uniquely brings to life.” ©Shanghai Disney Resort This Disney resort is seriously growing on its 10th anniversary because they also previously announced that the resort is getting an expansion of Soaring Over the Horizon. The attraction will be getting an approximately 50% increase in current capacity, AND there will be a new special ending for the attraction! Not only that, but they’re also working on a brand new Spider-Man Land in the theme park. They have already shared that the land will feature a high-speed coaster, which will be a “fully immersive experience.” Guests will soon be able to experience an all-new Spider-Man themed coaster coming to Shanghai Disneyland. We can’t wait to see this new resort come to life when it finally opens! Be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney news, updates, and more. 19. At Disney Springs, you can get pretty much any type of food under the sun, all in one place. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that a quick-service spot exclusively serves up the Canadian delicacy, poutine! Beef And Mushroom Poutine The Daily Poutine offers tons of fun, specialty-flavored poutines, so when we saw they had a brand-new Beef and Mushroom Poutine, we had to run to Disney Springs and try it! The Beef and Mushroom Poutine is $12.99 at The Daily Poutine. This is a heaping serving of French fries smothered in beef brisket, button mushrooms, brown poutine gravy, cheese curds, and lime crema curds. Beef And Mushroom Poutine The fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and well-salted. The brown gravy is thick, rich, and smothered on top of the fries, and the beef and mushrooms are tossed in the gravy, too. The brisket is tender and melts in your mouth, while the mushrooms bring in an earthy taste, but they’re not in every bite. The cheese curds add a nice crunch and bring in the cheesiness of a typical poutine. Beef And Mushroom Poutine We’d recommend this to poutine lovers wanting to try something new, and brisket fans will love how meaty this is. It’s a very filling portion size and can easily be shared between two people. However, the heavy poutine might not mix well with a hot Florida day. Beef And Mushroom Poutine If you want to grab this Beef and Mushroom Poutine yourself, head to The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney food reviews! 21. When we’re at any of the Disney Parks around the world, the fireworks are a must-do. They’re the grand finale of your magical day, and Disney has some of the best fireworks in the world. Cinderella Castle in Tokyo Disneyland But if the fireworks are also on your bucket list, we have some bad news. A popular international Disney park just canceled its fireworks show for the summer season! Sky Full of Colors is a popular fireworks show at Tokyo Disneyland, bringing millions of viewers a year. But the show is going on hiatus soon – its last performance will be today, June 14th! Disney hasn’t announced when the show will be back or why it was canceled, but we have a great guess as Disney experts. ©Disney Historically, fireworks shows at Tokyo Disney are paused during the summer due to unpredictable weather in Tokyo. The summer months bring high winds and humidity, which can cause fires if something goes wrong. Even in the international parks, safety is Disney’s number one priority. Cinderella Castle in Tokyo Disneyland While Disney hasn’t announced a return date, they typically resume around the same time of year. Looking at 2025, the fireworks paused on June 14th and returned on September 15th. Then in 2024, the fireworks were on hiatus from July 1st to September 18th. If the trend continues, then we should be able to see Sky Full of Colors again by mid to late September! ©Disney We’ll be sure to update you when Sky Full of Colors returns. 23. We’re “Celebrating Happy” at the Disneyland Resort as it honors its 70th anniversary! Sleeping Beauty Castle for the 70th Anniversary Celebration The celebration runs into the summer of 2026, marking a year of festivities such as special ride additions, the return of fan-favorite parades and shows, and so much more! There are even some interactive MagicBand+ elements that we got to experience FIRSTHAND! Guests with a MagicBand+ can explore Disneyland Park as they set out on a quest to find interactive 70th Anniversary MagicBand+ experiences that yield souvenirs and/or surprises! We tested these out ourselves, and we’re sharing what to expect with YOU! Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema Over at the Main Street Cinema, you can head to Tilly’s Booth to tap your MagicBand+ for a special surprise! Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema Once you tap your band, you will be issued your very own ticket for “Celebrating 70 Magical Year at Disneyland.” We are starting off our ticket collection strong! Our ticket said, “Valued Magic Key Holder” and a Cast Member mentioned that there are also options for Club 33 and DVC to be printed, but we don’t know what a regular ticket would say if you were a Magic Key Holder, Club 33 member, or DVC member. Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema On the back, it says, “Admit One” and “A New Verse, A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers.” We had a great time visiting Tilly, but it is time to make our way to the next stop! Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies Next up, we stopped by the Frontierland Booth at Silber Spur Supplies. This MagicBand+ activation has THREE touchpoints, and of course, we are checking them all out. Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies The first touchpoint printed us off a ticket for Mark Twain’s Riverboat. Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies The next one printed off a ticket for the Disneyland Railroad. Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies And the final one, printed off a ticket for the Golden Horseshoe Revue. Each time you get a ticket, a fun little audio clip also plays, so make sure to keep your ears open! Golden Horseshoe Revue Our collection of tickets is growing! Time to head over to our next stop. Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise in Adventureland We made our way over to the Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise to find the next MagicBand+ activation. Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise Tap your MagicBand+ on the touchpoint and you will receive a little ticket for your riverboat cruise. Riverboat Cruise Ticket Each ticket tells you which boat you will be traveling aboard and even includes which crew you will be a part of. Each crew has a meaning, so don’t forget to ask a Skipper what your crew means once you get your ticket! You will also find your crew on one of the lockers. Riverboat Cruise Ticket Now that we have grabbed our riverboat cruise ticket, let’s head over to our next stop! Fantasyland Window by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique The Fantasyland Window activation has five different touchpoints that opens up shields in the display to show diorama scenes of different characters and attractions in Fantasyland. There is a diorama that shows Snow White and the Evil Queen, Mad Hatter and Dormouse, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and the King Arthur Carrousel. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride Unlike the first three activations, you don’t receive any sort of ticket with these interactions. Tapping your MagicBand+ just opens up one of the dioramas and you get to watch a short display. They are still a lot of fun, though, and it is pretty cool to tap your MagicBand+ to start a little show. Evil Queen There is one last location for MagicBand+ activations; however, it wasn’t available when we stopped by. But we still want to tell you a bit about it! Autopia in Tomorrowland Unfortunately, the Autotopia interaction was not installed yet, so we were unable to experience this one. Cast Members in the area did not know exactly where it would be installed, but this is an additional interaction to look forward to at some point in the future! It will likely be somewhere by Autopia based on the name from Disney, but we will keep you updated as we learn more. Autopia in Disneyland With MagicBand+, you can also enjoy special interactions and surprises at the following nighttime experiences during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration: World of Color Happiness! Lastly, admission is limited to four guests per Membership Card or the number of guests staying in the room. This event is going to be so cool, and we love that Disney is offering this special bit of Fourth of July fun for Disney Vacation Club members. 25. We often find that many of Disney World’s hotel pool bars can be underrated. They’re also not the first place you think of when you plan to dine at a Disney World hotel, but just like everywhere else in Disney World, they’re not all made equally. Time for some new menu items! Recently, we stopped by Saratoga Springs Resort to check out the two new offerings at Paddock Grill. There’s a new drink and a new breakfast wrap that could make it a fantastic early morning stop before heading into the parks, or to fuel yourself for a pool day. Is it worth it, though? That’s what we set out to discover! Paddock Bar is the pool bar located right near Paddock Pool, and is known for serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is a big perk. To drink, we snagged the new Chocolate-Hazelnut Latte for $6.99, which can be served either hot or iced. We decided to get ours iced since it was a hot day, and found it to be very tasty and even refreshing for a warmer day. They put a lot of chocolate drizzle on the sides of the cup that you have to stir in, but once we did, it had more of a hazelnut flavor rather than chocolate. It’s a sweeter latte, so if that’s your thing, we think you’ll really enjoy this one. Iced Chocolate-Hazelnut Latte To eat, we grabbed the Steak, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Wrap for $11.79. In terms of food that you can get around Disney, this one falls in the average category. It’s a wrap you can find at most breakfast places, but that doesn’t mean it was bad! Steak, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Wrap The main flavor that came through was the egg, whereas we couldn’t taste the cheese that much and would have preferred a bit more steak, but the flavors weren’t unbalanced too much. The size was also pretty decent for the price, especially since it also comes with tater tots, and overall, we’d get it again, but wouldn’t go out of our way for it.
