We have a confession to make: we are STILL not over WandaVision. ©Disney Yes, we know it’s been three years since that show premiered on Disney+, but we’ve watched it several times SINCE. Yes, we know Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness sort of followed up on Scarlet Witch’s journey after the series, but we still have a lot of questions. Now, we know one WandaVision spin-off series is on the way soon, Agatha All Along. But now, Disney has announced a second WandaVision spin-off series, and we can’t contain our excitement! According to Variety, a series based on the character of Vision will premiere on Disney+ in 2026. Say what?! So now, a reminder that Vision actually died in Avengers: Infinity War, but his body was recovered by S.W.O.R.D. The version of Vision we saw in WandaVision was a creation of Wanda’s hex spell over the town of Westview. When she released that spell, that Vision, along with their sons, ceased to exist. ©Disney | Marvel Studios But S.W.O.R.D. used the OG version of Vision’s body to create a new version, White Vision. Whew — a lot happened, y’all. Anyway, White Vision turned up in WandaVision briefly, so we know he’s still out there somewhere. The new Vision series will pick up with White Vision exploring “his new purpose in life.” (And we really hope this means we’ll see Wanda again.) ©Marvel Disney has confirmed that Paul Bettany will return to the role, with the new series being directed by Terry Matalas as showrunner. Matalas was most recently executive producer on Star Trek: Picard. Matalas received a WGA Award nomination for the third season of that series. So it certainly seems that the new Vision series is in good hands. ©Marvel Interestingly enough, a Vision series was in development with WandaVision‘s Jac Schaeffer, but Schaeffer’s attention soon turned to the first WandaVision spin-off series, Agatha All Along, which will premiere on Disney+ on September 18th. This will be the first live-action Marvel series picked up by Disney+ in over two years, which shows that Disney has made a shift in how it creates new Marvel television shows. Disney is focusing on a more traditional approach to how it makes these shows, as well as limiting them to around just two per year. WandaVison Art ©Disney Disney has not yet revealed any other cast that may be coming to the Vision series, but we can hold out hope for not just Wanda, but also for more Agent Woo (Randall Park) and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), right? Could we even see the return of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha? Or will we see White Vision reuniting with his Avengers pals (at least those who are still living) like Hawkeye, Thor, or Hulk, who are all still out there somewhere? ©Marvel We guess we’ll have to wait and see what the future has in store for Vision. The new series is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2026. Stay tuned to DFB for more! Disney Is REDUCING Marvel Content. Here’s Why That Might Be a GOOD THING. We got an EXCLUSIVE look at Universal’s NEWEST land. DreamWorks Land While much of the focus on the Universal Orlando Resort is currently on Epic Universe, a NEW land is opening at Universal Studios Florida. Based on the films of Dreamworks Animation Studios, this new land occupies the space formerly occupied by Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. DreamWorks Land, which is scheduled to open to the public on June 14th, features a brand-new ride, a show, and several meet & greets and play areas dedicated to young children. ©Universal Once you first step foot into this new area, you are greeted by the most beautiful sight to ever behold: Shrek’s Swamp. The iconic ogre’s humble abode has been designed into a vast playground with four slides, a water play zone, and a slide down Shrek’s outhouse (which is kinda gross…but also very cool!). You can even visit Pinocchio where he can tell you some facts that may or may not be true (watch out for his growing nose!). Shrek’s Cottage There are also other interactive play areas such as King Harold’s Swamp Symphony, where each lily pad you hop on will make one of the area’s frogs sing, and Mama Luna Feline Fiesta where you get to play with the feline residents of Mama Luna’s retirement home for cats from Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish. Shrek and Donkey meet and greet Also in this area is Shrek’s Swamp Meet where you can meet Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey and visit the highly anticipated Swamp Snacks that made news with their Shrekzels with green cheese. The stand also sells Swamp Dogs, Far Far A Waffles, Mud Puddle Pudding, Chonkey Donkey chocolate ice pops, and Frozen Ogre sour apple ice pops. All treats are perfect for an ogre feast! Shrekzel! Inside DreamWorks Land is also the Trolls Village, which is as whimsical and colorful as the movies themselves. Featured in this area is an attraction called the “Trollercoaster” which is a family-friendly rollercoaster where you get to ride a Caterbus and journey through the Trolls’ forest. The new Trollercoaster! There is also Poppy’s Playground, which is a shaded play area for kids with lots of fun and vibrant details, including brightly colored flowers and quirky little critters. Poppy’s Playground The food stand in this land is called Troll Treats, which is an ice cream shop inside of a giant boom-box where you can get Poppy-licious Pink and BroZone Berry cones (try to say that 3 times fast). And if you’re looking for some unique souvenirs exclusively made for the new land, you can check out High Five Hideaway. Troll Treats Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp is a fun play area themed after Kung Fu Panda that brings to life The Panda Village from the movie and has tons of interactive elements. A fun inclusion is Mr. Ping’s Noodle Kaboodle which has merry-go-rounds shaped like bowls of noodles. This area is also home to ‘Po Live!’ where you can interact with Po as he teaches you some kung-fu moves and tips to cook the best stir-fry (all the things a dragon warrior needs to know). Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp The new land has also added a new stage show to the theatre that once housed Barney. The new stage show is called “DreamWorks Celebration,” and as the title hints, it is a musical dance party celebrating the beloved DreamWorks characters featured in the land. DreamWorks Celebration After getting a chance to sample DreamWorks Land, we’re confident this new land is going to become a fixture at Universal Studios Florida for years to come. Something BIG is coming back to Disneyland! Disneyland Last year, Fantasmic was put on hiatus at Disneyland Park after the Maleficent dragon caught fire mid-show. Since then, Disney has been reworking the show a bit in anticipation of its reopening on May 24th, 2024. And now, right before the show returns, we’ve got a sneak peek! Disney Parks posted a first look at the show on Instagram in a cute little video. It has snippets of some of the scenes you’ll get to see, set to the iconic Fantasmic music. Via @disneyparks on Instagram We got to see clips of some of the most iconic scenes from the show, including the Steamboat Willie finale with many fan-favorite characters like the seven dwarfs, Ariel, Belle and the Beast, and Rapunzel and Flynn. Via @disneyparks on Instagram If you’re a princess fan, you’ll be happy to know that the stunning rafts scene with the princesses and princes dancing on boats will be coming back as well! Disney shared clips of Belle and Beast, as well as Rapunzel and Flynn from this section of the show. Via @disneyparks on Instagram And of course, Mickey Mouse will be back along with some of the coolest effects, including his “fireworks fingers!” Via @disneyparks on Instagram To see the whole sneak peek video, you can check out the TikTok below! We can’t wait to watch it in person again. While Disney World’s version of Fantasmic takes place in its own theater in Hollywood Studios, Disneyland’s Fantasmic is set on a stage on Tom Sawyer Island, with the boats and rafts sailing the Rivers of America. It’s right there in the middle of the park! The show will feature “refreshed moments” during its live performances, as well as a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, which will feature updated special effects, and the return of the Peter Pan scene that had been replaced by Pirates of the Caribbean in the 2010s. The show will still feature sequences based on popular Disney films, including Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and Tangled. Via @disneyparks on Instagram If you’d like to get reserved seating for an upcoming showing of Fantasmic at Disneyland Park, you’ll be happy to know that dining packages are returning! You can reserve one of these packages at a participating restaurant and get special seating during the show, plus a delicious meal. It’s a win/win scenario! Chances are when you mention dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant, you’ll probably get a mix of emotions depending on who you’re talking to. While this highly sought-after restaurant was once one of the hardest advanced dining reservations to snag, in its more recent years, it’s become increasingly easier to find as a dining option in Magic Kingdom. That’s A LOT of food! We’d recently heard about some dining changes to this restaurant’s menu which seemed like it was begging us for a return visit. So, we set out to see if Be Our Guest’s prix fixe menu really was one that our taste buds fancied or if it just fell totally flat for us. Over in the far corner of Fantasyland, Be Our Guest Restaurant has been enchanting guests ever since it opened. Here, you’ll be dining to a French-inspired cuisine inside of the Beast’s castle inspired by the renowned animated film, Beauty and the Beast. Its completely immersive atmosphere, and chance to meet a familiar (furry) face make it a popular choice for advanced dining reservations. Table setting However, it’s not been without its critics. When Be Our Guest Restaurant first opened, the restaurant was a table service spot for dinner, but there were quick-service breakfast and lunch options. Since the restaurant’s reopening from the pandemic closures, the restaurant has done away with the quick service options and moved to just offering Lunch and Dinner on a prix fixe menu. That means you pay one price (currently $70 for adults and $41 for children ages 3-9), and select an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Many people miss those quick-service options, and on our recent trips here, we just haven’t found the food to warrant the high price. Atmosphere The theming here looks like it was ripped directly from the film! You truly get the opportunity to step inside one of the most iconic Disney castles from the movie and immerse yourself in all of its decor. Be Our Guest Just walking up to the castle is already a sight to behold thanks to the gorgeous waterfall… The bridge up to the castle … and angsty gargoyles that border the bridge over. As you step up to the castle doors you’re greeted by a Cast Member, one of “the master’s” servants, and they will help you get checked in for your arrival. Step on in If you find yourself needing to spend a few minutes waiting before your table is ready, you’ll be invited to wait in the hallway where you can visit talking suits of armor… Talking suits of armor … and take a photo in front of the mesmerizing stained glass window that closes out the animated classic. THE stained glass Once your table is ready, you’ll be invited in further and treated to views of the grand ballroom… The ballroom … a room with a dancing statue of Belle and the Beast surrounded by portraits… They’re dancing …and tapestries along the walls… Family portraits! … and the west wing! The West Wing This is also where you can catch a glimpse of the enchanted red rose and its falling petals (don’t worry though, the curse has already been broken among the castle and its inhabitants)! The enchanted rose As you’re dining or waiting on your food, feel free to hop up and visit the other dining rooms to take photos and pick out all of the details that can be found in each. You’ll just want to be sure that you’re back in your seats when you hear the overhead announcement come up, because that means the Beast will be out to greet you shortly! The master comes out to say, “Hello!” While “the master” of the castle, unfortunately, doesn’t have time to stop by each individual table, you’ll still be able to take photos of him as he makes his way around to each dining room and thanks you for coming to be his guest at the castle. Menu The menu here is very heavily French-inspired, and that’s reflected within all of the appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. Menu front There are even a few alcoholic beverage options here. Inside of the menu On this visit, Be Our Guest also had a limited-time entree offering — Steak Frites. Limited-time menu We didn’t take too long to decide (since it was an easy choice for us), but we did talk to our server and were cleared to order an additional entree at a separate cost from our original prix fixe dining price. Drinks For our drink this visit we opted to order the French 75. It’s made with Ford’s Gin, Lemon Juice, and Pure Cane Sugar topped with Charles de Fère Reserve Chardonnay Tradition Brut and costs $15. French 75 This drink has a nice, light Gin taste to it but it’s also got a commanding zesty lemon vibe going on too. It’s an interesting drink and one we would totally order again! A closer look If this was setting the tone for the rest of our meal, it definitely made us curious about what else we might like here. Eats Once we were led to our table, our server swiftly brought out a long baguette with a side of oil and butter. This was included with the meal to share at your table. Complimentary bread, oil, and butter The bread had a chewy exterior, but it was quite soft on the inside. Cross section of the bread The butter and oil were a nice touch but nothing terribly extraordinary. The bread service did what it was supposed to do — helped curb our appetites until our food started to arrive. With butter and oil Since this meal is a prix fixe dinner your appetizer, entree, and dessert are all pulled into the same meal price. However, we also ordered the limited-time Steak Frites entree along with the Sweet Corn Bisque, Short Rib Beef Bourguignon, and the Dessert Trio. (Yeah, it was quite an undertaking but, have faith in us). You can order additional items for a fee — but each person at the table will be charged for the prix fixe meal. In other words, you can’t share a meal here, but you can add on to your meal. That’s A LOT of food! So let’s start our meal in order, right? As the appetizer, the Sweet Corn Bisque arrived first. This was garnished with Corn Madeleine, tomato, and chive. Sweet Corn Bisque We LOVED this appetizer! It has a distinct sweet corn taste to it and we could smell it while it was warm. The corn madeleines are like slightly undercooked sweet cornbread and they are delicious! If you’ve had the sweet corn appetizer on Disney Cruise Line, it’s a similar taste but more of a soup consistency rather than like grits. So sweet and delicious Next up was the main entree we ordered, the Short Rib Beef Bourguignon. It’s made of smoked bacon, potatoes, and red wine jus. Short Rib Beef Bourguignon This one impressed us in all the best ways, too! The meat was so tender and there’s no bone in the ribs so you can finish it all so cleanly. The smoked bacon has a bit of a fatty layer to it in the top but the short rib is pulled apart like a pot roast. We found ours to be just a little bit drier unless we had the red wine jus with our bite. It just pulls apart so easily The mashed potatoes were creamy, and we liked the crunch of the crisp topping. The smoked bacon had a nice low-smoked wood taste to it and the red wine jus flavors the meat very well. Just a bite That would have been the end of our main meal had we not opted in for the limited-time entree, too. Yes, this one cost us a bit extra, around $45 to order just the entree along with our prix fix meal, but the Steak Frites entree BLEW US AWAY! Steak Frites It’s made of slow-roasted butcher’s steak and house-cut fries, and served with dijon sauce. Honestly, we should have just ordered this meal even with as much as we liked the Short Rib Beef Bourguignon. We literally left this meal and dreamed about it for days afterward because it was so good. Fries At first glance, you may laugh at its size because it looks like such a small portion but don’t let its size fool you! Mixed greens salad The butcher’s steak was super tender and cooked to a medium rare temperature giving it a bright pink center to the steak (they won’t cook this one above a medium becuase it ruins the flavor of the dish), and you could see the juices flowing out of the meat and into the surrounding dijon sauce. Check out the meat When we spoke to the chef, he said the goal with the frites was not to need ketchup or other condiments, so you’re encouraged to dip the fries into the dijon sauce which gave it an enhanced flavor. Our only complaint — and it’s truly just a nitpicky thing because we liked it so much — was there’s not a ton of sauce offered on the plate initially but when we asked for more sauce they were happy to oblige. The mixed green salad that comes with the meal was fresh and crunchy and was a sufficient portion for a side salad. If you’re keeping up with how much we’re eating in this meal, we applaud you because we’re finally into the last turn. It was time to tackle dessert with the Dessert Trio. Dessert Trio Three desserts made of a chocolate tart… Chocolate Tart ….a dark chocolate truffle… Dark Chocolate Truffle … and a lemon jam macaron… Lemon Jam Macaron … which are all served on one plate. These desserts looked so good we almost didn’t want to eat them and ruin them, but we did what we came to do. The chocolate truffle is creamy and decadent in the center but very chocolatey, like a melted milk chocolate Hershey bar just thicker coated. Cut open The chocolate tart is cute with the little chip character medallion that’s made of white chocolate, and white crisp pearls, and the outer layer of the tart is chocolatey, too! The inside of the tart is made of grey stuff (which we LOVED), and we could have easily eaten three of these tarts alone. This one hands down was our favorite of the three! Too pretty to cut The lemon jam macaron has a vanilla macaron taste to it but the lemon jam is found in the center pink filling which also has a hint of raspberry to it in the gel you’ll find at the very center. Soft macaron The outer cookie pieces of the macaron were fresh and crumbled very easily when cut or bit into. Overall Admittedly, we went into this meal not expecting much but left with so much more (plus an empty stomach and our leftovers for later)! While we know this isn’t quite the meal it used to be when Be Our Guest offered both quick service and entree options for different meal times, we were more than satisfied with our selections. We hope this becomes a permanent entree Normally, this is a meal we would most likely leave before choosing as a first choice to dine at Magic Kingdom, but this experience is making us rethink our position. Nosh or Not? Pull up a chair at Be Our Guest if… You want TOP NOTCH-themed dining you can’t get anywhere else! While you might not be as blown away by the food on your visit as we were, there’s no denying the theming here is incredible. It’s truly like stepping through the film and placing yourself directly within the story at the Beast’s castle. Second chances are kinda your thing. We’re there, too. We loved the previous setup and menus when this place served quick service meals, but you may find yourself pleasantly surprised like we did. You like an “all-inclusive” feel. The prix fixe dining helped us feel like we had an almost all-inclusive meal. Sure, we paid for a few extras like another entree and alcoholic beverage, but the price that we would have paid solely for the appetizer, entree, and dessert felt OK this time given the quality of our food. Go on and fold that menu closed and dine elsewhere if… You’re not sure the prix fixe is for you. We’re not gonna lie, there’s a LOT of food offered with this menu and if you’re unsure this type of dining would appeal to you, we don’t encourage you to push yourself just because. The per-person price is a little scary. While there is a lot of food, it isn’t a super budget-conscious meal. If you’re looking to dine in the castle, it’s going to cost you quite a bit. The quality of the food consistently outranks anything else. We’ve said it all before the theming here is unmatched but if that doesn’t truly matter as much to you as the consistency in the quality of your meal, we’re not one to argue you out of a place you’d rather dine. Disney World might be in for a bit of a rough year by the time 2025 rolls around. ©Disney Sure, the EPCOT Transformation will be complete by then and we may even know more about the theme park expansions Disney has planned. But, Universal’s Epic Universe is opening in 2025 and the hype has already been building for quite a while now. Disney has been criticized for not responding to Epic Universe in any significant way, but recent comments from CEO Bob Iger promise that Disney isn’t worried. Bob Iger recently participated in a Q&A session at the MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference, and gave some insight into just how Disney is responding to the upcoming opening of Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe. ©Universal | Epic Universe Concept Art We’ve been keeping up with the latest announcements about Epic Universe and all its themed lands: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. We’re not the only ones, either, as fans seem to be ready to ditch their Disney World annual passes for Universal ones instead. ©Universal But, Iger doesn’t seem to be worried at all — at least, that’s certainly what he’s trying to convey. When asked about Epic Universe, the second-time CEO said, “We’ve had competition for a long time. I’m mindful of what they’re doing, but I’m confident in what we’ve built and will continue to grow.” He also made a point to mention that Disney had built projects like Tron Lightcycle / Run, Galaxy’s Edge, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in Florida over the past few years and that in the past, anytime Universal has opened a major new project in the state it’s increased tourism overall in Orlando, which has benefited Disney. ©Disney When it comes to Disney World, Iger said they’re looking “to place some pretty big bets on” those parks and the expansion plans already in the works. He continued and said, “We should just continue on the path we’ve been on, mind the great IP [Intellectual Property],” which is something Disney is making a major push toward in the parks. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge In a new update, Disney outlined its push to go “beyond storytelling” in parks across the globe and outlined examples of how it has already done so. Frozen, Toy Story, Avatar, and The Avengers franchises were named as ways Disney has taken successful IP and turned them into even bigger successes in the parks. With Disney World expansion plans in the works, we could see new IP come sooner rather than later, too. Either way, we’ll keep you updated! The Walt Disney Company has been around for 100 years, and in that time, it has developed quite a reputation! Cinderella Castle Disney has been known for its spectacular storytelling and immersive theme parks, but not everyone has positive opinions of the company. Each year, we check the Axios Harris reputation rankings to see where Disney stands among other major businesses, and this year’s results have now arrived! The 2024 Axios Harris reputation rankings are out, and they rank major companies based on public opinion of the brands. In the past few years, Disney has gone up and down the list, but this year, the company has climbed 10 spots. Magic Kingdom The Walt Disney Company ranks number 67 out of 100 for 2024! Back in 2023, Disney was at spot 77, so this is a significant improvement. However, it’s still not as high as 2022 or 2021, when Disney was ranked 65th and 37th, respectively. EPCOT In the past few years, The Walt Disney Company has been involved in a couple of political battles that were heavily publicized. They’ve also been having some financial difficulties, namely with their streaming business (which made some significant improvements last quarter). It’s possible that some of these issues caused Disney to fall in recent years. ©Disney | Walt Disney Company Headquarters Each company was scored in a number of categories, and then ranked 1-100 based on its composite score. Disney scored 71.8 out of 100, with the best scores in the categories of “Trajectory” and “Products & Services,” earning it spot #67 on the list. We’ll be interested to see how they perform in the future, especially with updates coming to the parks and new films and shows coming out soon. Heading to Disney World later in 2024? We’re so excited for you! EPCOT We have plenty of tips on our blog and YouTube Channel to help you plan the perfect vacation. But before you even step into the parks, you’ll need to pack successfully for your trip. We tell you all the time what TO pack, but what about what you should NOT pack? DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. More Outfits Than You Need Trust us, we’re big fans of being prepared for any possible situation, but that does NOT mean that you need to pack 4 extra outfits on your vacation. Magic Kingdom At most, we suggest packing 1 extra shirt/top and 1 extra pair of bottoms, but other than that, one outfit for each day is perfect! Along with your pajamas, a light jacket just in case it’s chilly, a rain poncho/jacket (unless you’re bringing an umbrella), undergarments, and socks, you’ll have plenty to fill up your suitcase! Only 1 Pair of Shoes You may think it’s ideal to only bring one pair of shoes and WEAR them as you travel to the parks, that way you don’t need to pack any in your bag. However, we find it’s a good idea to rotate the shoes you wear, so we bring two pairs for the parks. This can cut down on blisters since you won’t have the same pair of shoes rubbing the same spots each day. You’ll be doing a lot of walking! You may also want to bring a pair of sandals for the pool or for a dress-up dinner reservation. But you don’t need any more than that! Why Everyone Is Buying These $150 Shoes for Disney World A Fancy Outfit Again, the only exception here is if you already have a fancy table service reservation booked for your trip. Otherwise, you do not need a fancy outfit in your bag! Victoria & Albert’s Many table service restaurants are actually perfectly fine with dining in theme park attire, so no fancy outfits are required. This will just take up space you need to save for souvenirs! We understand wanting to pack one just in case, but really, just don’t waste the space unless you have plans that warrat it. A Crappy Water Bottle A water bottle is absolutely essential for a Disney World trip, but it has to be a GOOD water bottle! And trust us, there are terrible options out there. We personally love Owalas! Owala Water Bottle A good water bottle will keep your drinks cold all day without sweating all over everything in your bag (then it gets everything wet and just blech). This way, you can refill it with free ice water from quick service restaurants throughout the day, and you’ll never be without cold water on hot days! Grab it here! Snacks That Will Melt/Go Bad Bringing snacks into the Disney World parks is 100% things we will always suggest, because it helps you save money, HOWEVER, do NOT attempt to bring in snacks that will melt or go bad if they’re not refrigerated. For example: Lunch meat Cheese Chocolate Yogurt EPCOT under sunny skies Now, it’s also important to pack snacks in containers that will keep them from being crushed and splattering all over your bag. Reusable Snack Bags are fantastic for this very purpose! ©Amazon These come in multiple different sizes, which means they can fit whatever you desire! Add them to your cart! If you’re looking to pack an entire lunch, a Bento Box may be the perfect solution! ©Amazon This way, you can have your whole meal in one place, and the hard case will keep anything from getting crushed. Buy them online! If you’ve got smaller snacks, we suggest grabbing some Stackable Snack Containers to save space! ©Amazon You can fit three different snacks in each container, giving you some great variety. Grab them here! We’re always here to help you plan your next Disney vacation AS WELL as what to pack before you head out, so stay tuned to DFB! Check out our Amazon Storefront for more Disney World essentials! What else would you add to this list? Tell us in the comments! As part of my job, I spend a lot of time alone in Disney World restaurants, including character meals! Magic Kingdom Character meals can be pretty challenging to review, because there’s a lot of content to capture (especially if they’re buffet meals!), but they’re generally a lot of fun. They’ve even made me a lot better at interacting with characters! However, what happens when the characters don’t actually show up? That happened to me recently and it was a WILD ride. I recently experienced a restaurant FIRST for most of our team here at DFB, and that’s pretty hard to do when we’ve been dining in Disney World for decades. But during a recent trip to Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, I sat at my table for more than an hour with NO characters stopping by. Crystal Palace In case you didn’t know, Crystal Palace is a character meal with Winnie the Pooh and friends (typically Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet). It’s also a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had a reservation right at 11AM and was seated around 11:10AM. As I was seated, Tigger and Piglet had just passed my table group, so my server told me they’d be the last characters I would see, but that they’d come back around later. I wasn’t worried, as this has happened before to me at character meals. Autograph Card I went on with my meal as usual, ordering my drink, and making my plate. I ate that plate of food and then went back to grab some lunch eats from the buffet. (They start swapping the buffet from breakfast to lunch around 11AM, so if you go around that time, you’ll get to eat both!) All of that took a significant amount of time, but still, I hadn’t seen Eeyore and Pooh, who were supposed to come out next. Crystal Palace breakfast buffet In fact, by the time I completely finished my restaurant review, I’d been there for more than an hour and hadn’t seen any characters — they hadn’t even returned to my side of the restaurant since Tigger and Piglet’s departure! This was a first for me, and thankfully, my server recognized the problem and reported it to a manager. Eeyore! Within a few minutes, a manager had stopped at my table and the table next to me (who’d also gotten skipped) to apologize and offer compensation for my time. In this particular circumstance, I was offered my choice of Lightning Lane access to any ride in the park (except for TRON Lightcycle / Run) or a pass to return to the restaurant later in the day and meet the characters at my convenience. I declined both options and asked to just remain and wait to meet the characters, which they were happy to let me do. Piglet Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore came in fairly quick succession after that. I was told by my server that Pooh was having a “slower” day, so his meet and greet was moved to the middle of the restaurant. By the time I met all four, I hadn’t even been at the restaurant for two hours. (I’ve definitely had other character meals last longer than that!) Pooh in the middle of the restaurant So ultimately, the team at Crystal Palace was very kind and accommodating. If you find yourself with an issue similar to this in the future, make sure to be patient and kind when mentioning it to your server. Sometimes the characters won’t stop at your table right away because of the way their rotation works, but if you go more than an hour without seeing them and they’re not on their way, it might be a good idea to speak up in case you were accidentally skipped. Keep in mind that you may not be offered the same compensation I was if this happens to your family. It varies depending on the restaurant and the day.
