Universal just released a new video and it’s got us HYPED for Epic Universe! ©Universal Okay, technically we were hyped about this new theme park a long, long time ago, but now that the opening date of May 22nd, 2025 is getting closer, we can’t help but be excited. Five new lands and a ton of rides will be opening with this park, but based on this new video, there could be plans for even MORE! Universal’s NEW Epic Universe theme park will be home to five new lands, each one more exciting than the last: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. ©Universal — Ministry of Magic Concept Art But, according to Karen Irwin, president and chief operating officer of Universal Orlando Resort, the company is “already planning for the next thing at Epic.” In a new video, Irwin shared that new attractions have been planned for each of the parks at Universal Orlando — including Epic Universe. Dark Universe Concept Art ©Universal Other than all the new attractions opening at Epic Universe soon, we also know that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is slated to close at Universal Studios later this fall. As of now, no announcements have been made about what could replace this ride, but it’s clear that Universal has big plans — not only for its newest park, Epic Universe, but Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, too. ©Bioreconstruct Universal has called Epic Universe “its most ambitious theme park yet.” In a press release, the company announced, “Epic Universe will present a level of theme park immersion and innovation that is unmatched – transporting guests to expansive worlds featuring more than 50 awe-inspiring attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping experiences that come together to create an unforgettable adventure that is nothing short of epic.” Stardust Racers and Isle of Berk The new theme park will include five themed lands with new attractions, restaurants, shopping, and more. We’ve scoped out the newest updates on the construction of the park and have already stayed in one of the newest Universal hotels to put us as close to the action as possible! We’re just over two months away from the official opening of Epic Universe, which means that team member previews have begun AND the park has been added to the Universal Orlando app! ©Universal You can check out the video in full below: In the meantime, we’ll be bringing you ALL the Epic Universe updates you need to know about ahead of the park’s opening. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog so you don’t miss any theme park news! BIG changes have been unveiled at Magic Kingdom‘s flagship merchandise store! Magic Kingdom A while back, we noticed that construction walls had popped up inside the Emporium — seemingly out of nowhere. Cast Members told us that the store was undergoing a bit of a refresh and would be back to tip-top shape soon, and now it looks like that time has come. Let’s check out what’s changed at this Disney World spot! Things are looking nice and roomy inside this store, which is a good thing since the Emporium tends to get pretty packed on and off throughout the day. So roomy! As of now, there are markings on the floor delineating a queue for the registers in this section. We anticipate this is a temporary solution and something more permanent will be added here in the near future. Queue for registers We also noticed that some of the flooring had been replaced! Updated flooring Previously, there were hardwood floors in this area of the store, but quite a bit of that has been replaced with lighter-colored tiles. This section is the furthest part of the Emporium that stretches into Magic Kingdom, near Casey’s Corner. There are still a few smaller construction walls up in the store, but nothing like what it looked like just days ago! New look These aren’t the only updates taking place in Magic Kingdom right now. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for at least a year for an update. Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America are also about to be completely reimagined into a new Cars expansion in Frontierland. But wait…there’s more! That’s because a new Villains-themed land is coming to the area behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, too. Construction We’re expecting just a few more changes to pop up in the Emporium — like additional flooring changes — but we’ll let you know when that happens! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest updates from Magic Kingdom and the rest of Disney World. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more news! A lounge INSIDE Spaceship Earth?! Yep, this is happening, and for some reason, Disney adults aren’t making nearly enough noise about it. EPCOT EPCOT has been undergoing a MASSIVE transformation over the past few years, with new attractions, lands, and experiences bringing fresh life into the park. But one of the most intriguing – and surprisingly under-discussed – additions is the brand-new Spaceship Earth Lounge. Set to open in late spring 2025, this sleek and stylish space is about to become one of the most unique spots in all of EPCOT. So why is this such a big deal? And why aren’t Disney adults freaking out about it? Let’s get into it. A Secret Spot Inside an Icon Spaceship Earth isn’t just an attraction – it’s the symbol of EPCOT. Since the park’s opening in 1982, this giant geodesic sphere has been the centerpiece of the entire park. It’s where you start your journey into EPCOT and where countless visitors have experienced the ride that takes them through the history of human communication. But what many guests don’t realize is that Spaceship Earth has been hiding a secret: a lounge space that, until now, has been off-limits to the general public. EPCOT This lounge space was previously used as a corporate sponsor lounge, meaning only select guests ever had access to it. Now, for the first time, Disney is opening it up to everyday parkgoers. And that alone is HUGE. A Luxurious, Futuristic Hideaway Let’s talk about the design. Disney is going all-in on the theme for this new lounge, and it’s not just a generic space. Inspired by the geometric patterns of Spaceship Earth itself, the lounge will feature warm metallic tones, rich textures, and a futuristic, “zen-like” ambiance. Basically, it’s designed to feel like a sleek, intimate retreat right in the heart of EPCOT. ©Disney We’re already picturing it: a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the park, with soft lighting, cozy seating, and an atmosphere that pays tribute to the very essence of EPCOT’s design and history. If you’ve ever wished for a calm, aesthetically pleasing place to take a break from the Florida heat and crowds, this might just be your new go-to spot. Culinary Creation? Yes, Please! Disney has also teased that the lounge will feature “delicious culinary creations” specially designed for the location. ©Disney Will this be a quick-service-style spot with light bites? Will it have signature drinks exclusive to this location? We don’t have the full menu yet, but knowing Disney, they’ll make sure this lounge offers something you can’t get anywhere else in the park. Why Isn’t Everyone Talking About This?! A brand-new lounge inside Spaceship Earth should be THE talk of the Disney community right now, but maybe it’s because EPCOT has seen so many updates lately that this one got lost in the shuffle. Or maybe people just don’t realize how rare it is for Disney to open up a previously off-limits space inside such an iconic attraction. Spaceship Earth Lounge construction Whatever the reason, we’re here to say: This is a big deal. Whether you’re a die-hard EPCOT fan, a foodie looking for a new dining experience, or just someone who loves discovering hidden gems in Disney World, this lounge is going to be a must-visit. Spaceship Earth Lounge construction We’ll be keeping a VERY close eye on all the updates as we get closer to the grand opening. But in the meantime, start getting excited because this is one EPCOT addition that’s about to change the game. In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. 3 Disney Cast Members Reveal SECRETS Behind the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! We are LESS than 100 days from the grand opening of Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe. And if you couldn’t tell, we are getting VERY excited about the opening. Epic Universe Model Epic Universe will feature five themed lands with lots of new attractions, entertainment, shopping, and dining. Some of the lands include Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic. Epic Universe officially opens on May 22nd, 2025, and the Universal app recently added it to its maps ahead of its grand opening. We have taken lots of time to explore these maps — and get even more excited about the opening. Not only can we plan our days out now, but the map also shows which attractions will have Single Rider lines available. ©Universal Single Rider lines can allow you to experience an attraction with a shorter wait, however, you will be split up from the rest of your party. The Single Rider line is used to fill seats. You won’t be able to request a particular seat or ride with your family, but you will likely have a shorter wait time than the regular line. However, depending on the length of the Single Rider line, you may have a similar or longer wait. ©Universal Let’s take a look at the attractions at Epic Universe that will have a Single Rider line. Of course, the availability of these lines is subject to change. And since Team Member previews are just beginning, we may see adjustments in the Single Rider options as testing continues. Currently, seven rides will be offering Single Rider lines: Celestial Park Stardust Racers Dark Universe Curse of the Werewolf Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk Hiccup’s Wing Gliders SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge Mine-Cart Madness The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry Single Rider lines are great if you are traveling solo or are okay with splitting up your group to experience the ride. It is important to note, that sometimes the Single Rider queue might skip parts of the experience (like pre-shows or rooms of the queue), so make sure to speak with Team Members outside the attraction if you are concerned about missing parts of the experience. Concept Art for Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ©Universal We can’t wait to bring you full coverage of Epic Universe, so stay tuned to DFB. Plus, we are always keeping you updated with the latest Disney tips, tricks, and news! Check out the FULL list of restaurants that will be opening at Epic Universe! When you are on vacation, the last thing you want to think about is rules! Cinderella Castle But Disney takes safety super seriously. There are Five Keys that Cast Members use as a guide while they are on the clock, and the most important Key is Safety. Disney even tells their Cast Members that “Safety Begins with Me.” Disney World has both spoken and even some unspoken rules to make sure everyone is safe and enjoys their vacation. The anticipation of entering the park may take over you, and you may be so inclined to start speed walking, which may turn into running. You may be rope dropping and need to put some pep in your step to make sure you get a good spot in an attraction line. Or maybe you are running late for a dining reservation or Lightning Lane return time. While you may feel so inclined to run, DON’T. Hollywood Studios rope drop Disney World enforces a no-running rule, like at its water parks and pools. They don’t want you bumping into others or potentially tripping and hurting yourself. Sometimes, you may not even realize that you are running rather than speed-walking. Rope drop at Magic Kingdom If you want the chance not to break the no-running rule and get to run through the Disney World parks, then consider signing up to run one of the many runDisney races that take place throughout the year. runDisney merch In all seriousness, Cast Members are not trying to ruin your fun; they just want to make sure everyone in the park, including yourself, is safe. If you want to beat the rope drop crowds, we suggest planning out your morning thoroughly. Think about picking up breakfast the night before. Plan out how long it takes you to get ready, when transportation starts running, and think about how long it takes to get through security. Planning ahead of time it can help you set your alarm early enough to make it to the park without feeling like you need to run to your first ride. How Do I Skip the Lines in Disney World: Lightning Lanes or Rope Drop? Guests waiting at the International Gateway in EPCOT for rope drop If you are worried about running late for a dining reservation or Lightning Lane return time, you can set reminders and alarms on your phone. That way, if you know your reservation is coming up, you can plan accordingly to get there on time without worrying about the need to sprint across the park. The Unspoken Rules of Eating in Disney World Lightning Lane Although Cast Members do want you to stick to your reservation and return times, if you are polite and explain your situation, they usually don’t mind helping you out as long as you are not hours late. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Cast Members Disney World is the Most Magical Place on Earth, and Cast Members strive to keep it one of the safest. So the next time you are in the park and feel yourself starting to speed up, remember to slow down and take it all in! Each year, millions of passengers pass through Orlando International Airport (MCO) at the start and end of their Disney World vacations, which means that each year millions of people need ground transportation between the airport and the resort. MCO Airport Whether taking a ride share, taxi, shuttle, or public transportation, there are certain rules that any traveler looking for ground transportation from MCO needs to know in order to get keep their trip moving as smoothly as possible. < Boarding Passes So, let’s begin with something travelers need to know before even reaching the airport. If you’re taking a Mears shuttle to or from MCO, you’ll receive a boarding pass exactly 23 hours before your scheduled flight time. In the hustle and bustle of either last minute packing (or trying to squeeze out as much fun as possible from a Disney World vacation if you’re flying home the next day), be sure to keep an eye out for these passes. Mears Connect Express Vehicles Speaking of Mears, if you’re taking one of the company’s Express Shuttles — the service which “minimizes your travel time on the vehicle by making your hotel the first stop after leaving the airport and the last stop before heading to the airport” — be aware that the vehicle picking you up at your hotel may be different than the vehicle that took you to your hotel at the beginning of your trip, so keep an eye out. ©Mears Resort Departure If you’re being picked up by a Mears shuttle at your Disney World hotel, be aware that your pickup time will depend on your flight destination. If you have a U.S. domestic flight, you will be picked approximately 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight, but if you’re flying international you’ll be picked up 4 hours prior. Delays Speaking of resort departure pickups, according to Mears, the company “does not generally adjust resort departure times for delays as airlines can lift those delays at any time.” In other words, even if you receive notice that your flight is delayed, your shuttle will still be arriving at the previously scheduled pickup time. Mears Connect bus Ride Share Zones Finally, jumping over to ride share options, there is something you need to keep in mind if you’re planning to use a service like Uber, Lyft or Wingz. MCO has very specific drop-off and pick-up zones. They are as follows: Drop-Off: Terminal A – Departures Curb (Level 3) Terminal B – Departures Curb (Level 3) Terminal C – Departures Curb (Level 2) Pick-Up: Terminal A Arrivals Curb (Level 2) 24 hours per day Departures Curb (Level 3) between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM Terminal B Arrivals Curb (Level 2) 24 hours per day Departures Curb (Level 3) between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM Terminal C Arrivals Curb (Level 6) Orlando International Airport These are just some of the rules that travelers using ground transportation to go between Disney World and MCO have to be aware of. Celebrities are like us (well, except maybe richer, cooler, and better dressed). But they are like us in that so many of them love Disney and visiting Disney Parks. Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland We’ve spotted SO many celebrities hanging out in Disney World and Disneyland recently, including Gloria Estefan, Charlize Theron, Josh Gad, Neil Patrick Harris, and SO many more. Well, one of the COOLEST celebrities EVER, Jeff Goldblum, just visited Disneyland, and he posted photos to prove it. Can you imagine walking through Disneyland and turning around to see Jeff Goldblum (star of Jurassic Park, the MCU, and MUCH MUCH MORE) and his family walking behind you? Well, that happened to some lucky park visitors recently. Goldblum recently posted some Disneyland photos on his social media account, as he was spending time with his family and having a great time in the parks, including some time in Cars Land. ©Jeff Goldblum Of course, the family made it over to Disneyland, too, to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for a ride on Rise of the Resistance. You know, come to think of it…we need him in the Star Wars universe already. Hey, Kathleen Kennedy, are you paying attention? ©Jeff Goldblum The whole family even posed for a photo together in scenic Batuu. His family just seems so cool, right? ©Jeff Goldblum This is a family that seems really close, too. We love how much fun they all seem to be having. He and his wife are such a lovely couple! ©Jeff Goldblum Looks like the family also went for a ride on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. ©Jeff Goldblum Interestingly enough, though, Goldblum didn’t post any photos from Avengers Campus — considering he IS the Grandmaster, you’d think he might’ve stopped into the Collector’s Fortress for a visit, right? But it does look like he had a great time in Disneyland with his family. Just goes to show you never know who might turn up at a Disney Park. Now, remember, if you spot a celebrity in a Disney Park, it’s best to just let them be because they’re just enjoying some downtime away from work, just like everyone else. It’s best just to say a quick “hello” and move on if you must do anything. Stay tuned to DFB for more. What’s It Like to Go to Disneyland ALONE? Want to Learn More About Disneyland? Dole Whip is the epitome of what a Disney snack is, and we can’t believe we found the best one at a Disney World resort! Coronado Springs Next time you’re at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, you should head to the quick-service restaurant to grab this special treat. El Mercado de Coronado offers some of our favorite quick eats, but best of all, they have a seasonal Dole Whip! El Mercado de Coronado For $4.79 for a small or $6.79 for a large, you can get the Dole Whip, vanilla soft serve, or a swirl of both. The classic flavor is pineapple paired with vanilla ice cream, which is a perfect combination of acidic and sweet. Even people who aren’t obsessed with pineapple may enjoy this snack because the vanilla pulls back the strong flavor of the pineapple. The last time we checked, El Mercado de Coronado was serving pineapple, but we have seen them rotate flavors and even serve more rare ones — like watermelon! Dole Whip Other Dole Whip locations, like Aloha Isle Refreshments in Magic Kingdom and Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, are often busy, so we love this underrated spot! Dole Whip can also melt fast, so it’s perfect that El Mercado is inside with seating for us to enjoy our treat. Aloha Isle Refreshments While we would eat Dole Whip for every meal if we could, there are also great meal options like the Chicken Tinga Rice Bowl, Elote Street Corn, and Market Nachos! There are also great on-the-go options like pizzas, sandwiches, and pretzels at El Mercado de Coronado. Pepperoni Pretzel Coronado Springs is also home to other restaurants, like Three Bridges and Toledo. You can eat at any of the restaurants and grab a Dole Whip at El Mercado, too! Hang out and enjoy your Dole Whip! This resort is a great place to walk around and enjoy the weather! There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating locations, and we love to grab a lounge chair and look out onto the water. It’s covered in beautiful architecture and has a few different places to pin trade, as well. We’ll be right back as we run to Coronado Springs and grab some Dole Whip, but in the meantime, don’t forget to follow Disney Food Blog to learn more about our favorite snacks. Finding breakfast in Disneyland Resort can be harder than you may realize! Disneyland We’re not saying there aren’t good options out there — they’re available, but some of them are tucked away and are harder to find. We keep our eyes peeled for all the latest food news coming out of the parks to keep you updated on all the new options available, and we’re here to tell you that there’s another AMAZING new offering you’ve got to try on your next trip. Over at Galactic Grill in Disneyland you can now grab their new Chicken Tenders & Waffles platter for $12.99. Chicken and Waffles! We LOVED these! The waffles had a sweet buttermilk flavor and were perfectly crispy, and the fresh blueberries and raspberries were incredible. Usually Disney uses a goopy mashed berries compote that we’re not big fans of, and these fresh berries elevated the dish in a beautiful way. These berries are AMAZING The chicken tenders were also cooked perfectly and had a crisp crunch we loved. The maple cream sauce that comes with the dish is essentially syrup with a lighter texture and different color, and we thought it paired well with the waffles, berries, and chicken. The galactic tangy sauce was our favorite part, though, because it added a tang that helped balance out the sweetness from the berries and waffles. These sauces were also a real winner! Overall, this dish was a MAJOR winner for us, and we recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch option in the parks. There were also plenty of tables available for us to eat at, and our Mobile Order didn’t take long at all, which was a big win for us! Delicious! Looking for more recent Disneyland Resort news? It’s HERE! The 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is ON at Disneyland Resort from now through April 21st! California Craft Brews 2024 Booth On the menus at all of the Festival Marketplaces (also known as Food Booths) are food and drink items representing “California’s incredible bounty…” and what better place to shine a spotlight on the Golden State than California Craft Brews? We’re stopping by to see what’s for sippin’ (and EATIN’!) as we bring you our complete review for this and ALL of the Food Booths at the Festival! Menu Even though the name of this booth is California Craft Brews, there are a couple of food items to highlight on the menu, as well: both the Lemon Pepper Wings and the Sloppy Joe Slider featuring IMPOSSIBLE Beef are new this year. California Craft Brews Menu As for those craft brews, you’ll find an all-new assortment this year, including Chapman Crafted Orange Plaza Pale, A More Perfect Day Double IPA by Stereo Brewing, and Green Cheek Guava in Berlin Berliner-style Weisse. They’re joined by Noble Ale Works Flamigle Hard Seltzer, and you can even try all four of the options with the Spring Beer Flight. Prefer a mixed drink? California Punch and a Mango Guava Cocktail are also up for grabs. (And, yep, these are both new, too!) Alright, raise your glasses high, and let’s dig in! Eats First up, the new Lemon Pepper Wings are served with garlic ranch. The cost is $9 for three wings, and yes, we think that’s a bit steep for just three wings. However, they were really tasty. The flavor is lemon-forward, but the garlic ranch cuts through that tartness. They’re crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. So they are well done, but we think, for that price, you should get at least four. Lemon Pepper Wings with garlic ranch The Sloppy Joe Slider isn’t exactly your typical Sloppy Joe. It’s made with IMPOSSIBLE Beef, and topped with cheese. The price is $8. First, don’t wait to eat these — once they cool off, they’re not quite as good, and the texture gets weird. The bun is a sweet Hawaiian roll that’s nicely toasted. Sloppy Joe Slider featuring IMPOSSIBLE Beef with cheese The meat here is good, but the texture is definitely off-putting. Drinks What makes up the new California Punch ($8)? This non-alcoholic concoction mixes mango purée, guava nectar, cucumber syrup, and lemon juice. It’s garnished with a mango chile lollipop! If you’re looking for a great non-alcoholic option, this is it, especially if you want something fruity. The mango chile lollipop also makes it feel more like a fun adult drink. California Punch Also new this year is the Mango Guava Cocktail, which costs $17. It combines vodka, mango purée, guava nectar, cucumber syrup, and lemon juice. This one is garnished with a rainbow sour belt gummy. Be sure to stir this before taking a sip or you’re going to get a sip of straight vodka. EEP. However, once it’s stirred up, this is a refreshing and fruity drink that’s also light. The rainbow sour belt garnish also makes it a lot of fun. We didn’t get much of the cucumber flavor, except with a bit of the aftertaste. Although we enjoyed it, though, we think $17 is a bit steep. Mango Guava Cocktail And, of course, you can try some California Craft Brews! Your options are all brewed in the Golden State, featuring Chapman Crafted Orange Plaza Pale for $16.25 (Orange, CA), A More Perfect Day Double IPA by Stereo Brewing for $16.25 (Placentia, CA), and Green Cheek’s Guava in Berlin Berliner-style Weisse for $17.75. (Green Cheek has locations in Orange, Costa Mesa, Sunset Beach, and Oceanside.) Noble Ale Works Flamigle Hard Seltzer (Anaheim, CA) is also available for $16.25. Can’t decide? No problem! You can grab the Spring Beer Flight to try all of them for $18. OVERALL Overall, we really only enjoyed one of the food items at this booth, and we think the prices are a bit steep for what you get. The non-alcoholic drink, though, is a good option if you want a refreshing mocktail that doesn’t feel like it was made for kids. We’re not sure this booth would warrant a second visit, though. Full spread That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort! When folks travel to Disney World and other Orlando theme parks, they generally fly into and out of Orlando International Airport. MCO Airport That airport is served by numerous airlines, and sometimes delays and cancelations can happen. This is often due to weather, although there was an incident in 2024 when some software used by airlines had issues, resulting in multiple flight delays and cancelations. Now, one airline, Silver Airways, has recently pulled ALL its flights from Orlando International Airport with little warning, leaving customers stranded, according to WFTV. Folks scheduled to fly with Silver Airways to and from Orlando have been stranded at the airport this weekend after Silver canceled all flights going to and leaving Orlando International Airport with no warning. This comes several months after Silver Airways filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, although we have no confirmation the cancelations are related to that news. ©Silver Airways When the company filed for bankruptcy, it stated at the time that “all tickets remain valid and we will continue operating as usual” and promised that passengers could still book flights with Silver. However, as of today, if you search the Silver Airways website for flights to or from Orlando, every day of every month shows flights “not scheduled.” Note that flights for other airports still seem available on the site. ©Silver Airways “We received notification this afternoon that, effective immediately, all departing and arriving flights with Silver Airlines are canceled,” Greater Orlando Aviation Authority spokeswoman Angela Starke told WFTV, adding, “Unfortunately, I do not have any additional information to share at this time.” ©Silver Airways Silver has not yet commented or issued any press releases on the Orlando cancelations. However, aviation trade papers have suggested that Silver was being forced to downsize its fleet after receiving backlash from the company it leased its planes from. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more. The sun is shining! The grass is growing. The trees are blooming. That can only mean one thing — it’s springtime in Disney World, and the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is about to begin! Let’s get gardening! What better way to celebrate the end of a cold, dark winter than with a floral festival in Disney World? This year’s event will bring beautiful topiary displays, gorgeous flowers, live entertainment, and loads of good food to EPCOT. Well, before we kick things off this year, there are some important things you need to know about this year’s EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, so we’re going to fill you in on some of the things that have been confirmed (and what you can expect). The 2025 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will start on March 5th and run through June 2nd. This is an extra important year for the Flower and Garden Festival; it’s the 30th anniversary! Cheers to 30 years, EPCOT! EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival When the event begins on March 5th, we expect it will be crowded. Like, really crowded. In the past, the opening day of an EPCOT Festival includes long lines, heavy crowds, and busy gift shops. Disney World: The Most Magical Place on Earth…until people start behaving like absolute menaces. Magic Kingdom Look, we get it. The parks can be overwhelming, hot, and exhausting, but that doesn’t mean all social norms should fly out the window. From line cutting to climbing where you definitely shouldn’t, some guests have taken things a bit too far. Let’s take a look at some of the most questionable guest behaviors we’ve seen, and what you can do instead to keep the magic alive. Letting Kids Roam Like Free-Range Chickens Kids and Disney World go together like Mickey and Minnie, but the parks aren’t a free-for-all playground. We’ve seen kids climbing on railings, darting through crowds, and – our personal favorite – getting a little too close to ride tracks while their parents just…watch. Crowds Not only is this super dangerous, but it’s also a great way to get a stern talking-to from a Cast Member. How about this instead: Keep a close eye on your little ones and remind them to respect the space around them (and the safety rules in place). The Great Jungle Cruise Line Heist We’ve all been there – staring down an hour-long wait and wishing for a shortcut. But one family of 10 actually did it, using one member to hold their spot while the rest grabbed DOLE Whips. Jungle Cruise When they returned, they just squeezed back in like it was no big deal. Meanwhile, everyone else who waited properly was left fuming. How about this instead: If your party needs a snack or restroom break, wait until AFTER the ride or be prepared to rejoin at the back of the line. Jumping Off Living with the Land for a…Cucumber? Living with the Land is a chill boat ride through greenhouses where Disney grows a lot of its own produce. It’s educational, it’s relaxing, and apparently, it’s also a temptation for rule-breakers. Someone was so determined to grab a fresh cucumber that they literally jumped out of the ride vehicle mid-ride. A cucumber grown on the ride! Spoiler alert: they got caught. How about this instead: Appreciate the ride for what it is and grab a fresh snack from the many food kiosks in EPCOT – no rule-breaking required. The Diaper Disaster at Toy Story Mania Changing a baby’s diaper is part of parenting, but there are designated places for that. Unfortunately, we once saw a mom change her child’s diaper right in the middle of the queue for Toy Story Mania – on the floor. And if that wasn’t enough, she then touched all the railings as she walked through. Toy Story Mania queue How about this instead: Every park has easily accessible restrooms with changing tables. Use them! Not only is it more sanitary, but it also keeps the experience pleasant for everyone else. Climbing the Mexico Pavilion Pyramid It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in EPCOT, but some guests seem to think it’s their personal rock-climbing wall. We’ve seen people attempting to scale the Mexico Pavilion pyramid like they’re on some kind of adventure movie set. News flash: There is no hidden treasure, only security waiting to escort you out of the park. Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT How about this instead: Take all the photos you want but keep your feet on the ground. The pavilion is beautiful. Let’s admire it the right way. Taking a Dip in the EPCOT Fountains A long day in the Florida heat makes any water feature look tempting, but Disney fountains are NOT for swimming. We’ve seen adults (yes, adults) hopping into fountains like they’re public pools. Not only is this unhygienic (you don’t want to know what’s in that water), but it’s also a one-way ticket to an early park exit. Imagination Pavilion fountain How about this instead: Beat the heat the right way – head to an air-conditioned attraction, grab a refreshing drink, or find some shade. Spaceship Earth in EPCOT Listen, we all love Disney World, and we want to have the best time possible. But there’s a way to do it that doesn’t involve breaking rules, cutting lines, or pulling stunts that make the rest of us cringe. So let’s all agree to keep things respectful. We’ll all have a more magical time for it. In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. It’s time to check in with the tragic lives and stories of the people who reside in the Tiny Train Town that is nestled in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion in the World Showcase. The town in question. Now, we’ve seen this poor town deal with a lot of tragedy. There’s been murder, werewolves, and other treachery afoot since the town was founded in 1995. Even now, the citizens of this village have recently faced a supernatural threat that could define the town for generations. However, in a recent visit, we saw how life is still going on for these poor folks. So let’s check in with them, shall we? Hello, I’m Robin, the Interim Mayor of Tiny Train Town while Mayor Lydia takes a break. We’ve just recently checked in on Tiny Train Town to see what’s going on, so let’s get caught up. The last time we looked in on Tiny Train Town, the werewolf had become a huge threat to the citizens, and it was obvious that they would soon have to deal with the consequences of allowing a werewolf to stalk their village for so long. Well, things have finally come to a head, it seems, and some citizens seem to have taken the matter into their own hands. Let’s just say we’ve seen evidence of a battle — this poor gentleman has obviously been fighting and now seems to be in shock — he has seen some things, folks. He fought the werewolf and survived Although life seems to be getting back to normal (or as normal as it can for this town, where scum and villainy meet hand-in-hand), we think the fight with the werewolf has taken its toll. Trying to get back to normal This poor gentleman…he just seems haunted. But life can never be normal in Tiny Train Town Interestingly enough, there’s no sign of the werewolf — was it defeated? All we know is that this man has packed up all his belongings in a backpack and is ready to try and hitch a ride out of town. Could he be the werewolf in question? Have the citizens finally fought back enough to convince him to leave? Is this our werewolf? Anyway, even in Tiny Train Town, life goes on…as does love. Over at the church, another bride seems to have run off before her wedding (or perhaps she fell victim to the werewolf ), but the groom has already found love with one of the bridesmaids. Even in times of turmoil, love finds a way. Finding love after tragedy The train station has become a hangout for young singles again in hopes that they might find a love match. We bet this glamorous bombshell in blue will have NO problem finding someone soon. The young singles are trying to meet their match Meanwhile, in another part of town, two lovers who have found each other sit quietly together to watch the sunset. Can I get an “AWWWWW!” Let’s hope the werewolf is really gone because otherwise, their love story could become a tragedy. Love finds a way…at least until the werewolf strikes again We’ll know more next time we visit Tiny Train Town, so stay tuned to DFB for more. The anarchy within is mostly created by natural occurrences, like giant squirrels, wind, rain, and relatively godzilla-sized lizards who frequent the town; but we find it fun and entertaining to make up fictional stories about what COULD be happening. We are grateful to the folks who create and maintain this Tiny Train Town for Disney World, as it’s one of our favorite parts of EPCOT and always has been. There’s a certain code that we Disney Adults live by for visiting Disney World. But I made it my mission to throw caution to the wind for a day recently, and things didn’t quite go as planned! Panicked Mickey We’re constantly bringing you all the tips, tricks, and best practices we’ve picked up over the years from visiting Disney World every single day. It seems like Disney World is in for a whirlwind of changes over the next few years with new lands and attractions being introduced into the parks soon, and if you’re not heeding some helpful advice, you could find yourself very frustrated quickly. If you thought you had it all figured out and have been ready to throw caution to the wind on your next visit, we truly caution you to read about how one day like that went very sideways for us. There are very few times where we’ve heard “planning a Disney World trip” and “easy” thrown into the same sentence and that’s for good reason. There always seems to be something changing, evolving, or not quite the way it once was on your latest visit. Hi, Buddy! Going to Disney World every day is a privilege we enjoy to help test out different strategies, angles, and ways to accomplish your day in the parks. So, it’s easy to conclude that as much time as we spend in the parks, we probably could do a day at Disney World like a breeze with our eyes closed right? Well… we decided to put that very theory to the test! Space Mountain queue We spent a day at Disney World breaking our own rules, and let’s just say we quickly figured out why these are staples in our everyday guidelines. So, to start out our day we made a list of rules we felt like we could break fairly easily and decided to record it all and tell you how well things went or how quickly they fell apart. NOT Modifying Lightning Lanes We decided to buy Lighting Lane MultiPass for a day and NOT modify the selections we initially picked up. This means that we still made 3 selections in advance but we weren’t actively looking for earlier times to modify them to and left our day truly at the mercy of current availability and chance. Journey of the Little Mermaid Because of this, our first Lightning Lane didn’t start until 10:40 AM. Ok — not so bad yet. Normally, we would have tried to have modified to earlier times days in advance in the hopes that once we started using them for the early times in the park, we could start picking up new Lightning Lanes even earlier than most. ©Disney This part was frustrating because Lightning Lane availability was limited and mostly for rides I wasn’t as interested in earlier in the day. If I had planned on staying later in the day there were a few scarce ones I could have snagged, but that would have compromised my ability to use it earlier in the day and then I would have only gotten through like 5 rides and attractions total. Pirates of the Caribbean However, I did have one small win that wasn’t breaking the rules we had agreed to break for the day. My saving grace to getting anything done for the day was using a Lightning Lane and then picking up my next attraction as soon as I scanned into the last spot for the current one I needed to clear to gain another in its place and keep holding 3 at a time. If you’re not picky about what you get this could work well, but if you’ve got your sights set on specific rides and attractions, not refreshing in hopes of modifying certainly doesn’t do you any favors other than getting you Lightning Lanes for the less popular attractions and still waiting in long lines for the bigger rides. Former Cast Members Reveal One MAJOR Tip for Booking Lightning Lanes in Disney World! No Rope Drop Queue the world’s smallest violin, please. Since I’d already made our selections for Lightning Lanes and they started more than an hour after the park opened, getting an early start suddenly didn’t seem like a priority for this experiment. So, for this day, rope dropping the park (which means we’re ready to step inside right when the park opens) just wasn’t my strategy. While this was a bit of a bummer to my “normal” day, I do recognize that not everyone is an early morning person (especially on vacation), and getting up, ready for the day, and taking transportation over to enter Magic Kingdom as it opens bright and early in the morning can be a challenge. ©Disney However, I happened to get extremely lucky this day and wait times really weren’t so bad. I showed up at 10:30 AM just before my first Lightning Lane, and while there were longer waits like 70+ minutes at a few popular rides we knew to expect longer lines for, most weren’t above 40 minutes or less at the time. This gave me hope that I would still have a productive day. What No One Tells You About Rope Drop in Disney World Trading In Our Normal Sneakers For Flip Flops Alright this might be cheating a bit, since Flip Flops are my preferred shoe, but if you’re not used to them for walking long distances, blisters can still happen, especially if they’re new. In their defense wearing flip flops around Disney World is easier in the sense they’re quick to slip on and off to give your feet a break when you’re sitting for a bit, and when it comes to drying out. This is especially handy with water rides if you plan on getting wet through the day. So many flip-flops! On the flip side though, blisters still can and will happen, and there’s a reason why we keep harping on you to bring moleskin with you to the parks to keep going! You don’t want to give up the rest of your trip because your feet just feel so awful. Also, if your feet are used to a lot of support, you’ll find out very quickly that those hard surfaces can be very unforgiving. If you’re not used to them for long distances or extended wear, the structure of the sandal might aggravate any underlying foot conditions that you might not be aware of until you’ve walked in them all day long. Sandals and flip flops are prone to break, too, which could leave you down a shoe (kind of like a flat tire), forced to call it a day early or spend a chunk of money buying other shoes in the store you didn’t plan for. 12 Shoes That Cost a Little Extra But Will Be Totally Worth It for Disney World Mobile Ordered At Peak Lunchtime For this experiment breaking our own rules, we thought we’d try mobile ordering our lunch at peak lunchtime. To really put it to the test, we also decided to order from one of the busiest restaurants in all of Magic Kingdom for quick service lunch, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe This actually wasn’t near as bad as I thought for this particular day, and you may have already figured as much given my assessment of the lower crowds than expected. Granted there are times where this is a nightmare, but since the crowds were lower I was able to place an order during peak lunch time at 12:21 PM and within 5 minutes it was ready to pick up. Lunchtime! Inside of the restaurant had plenty of empty seating, but outside was harder to find a table. This was probably since it was such good weather outside; it wasn’t too hot or breezy, and I noticed people using it as a midday break, too. Not to Be Dramatic, but This Disney World Mobile Order Hack Just Changed My Life Buying SmartWater First off, my wallet hurt after that one because SmartWater is $6 and on a hot day this could get expensive FAST! Dasani, the other bottled water inside of Disney World, isn’t much cheaper. SmartWater If you really don’t like the way Disney World’s free water tastes or just have a preference for bottled water, it’s MUCH cheaper to bring your own bottles in your bag, or better yet bring a reusable water bottle. SO DANG NASTY. The Experts are DIVIDED on the FREE WATER at Disney World. How you do Disney World and your level of comfortability is totally and completely up to you. While we try to give advice in the hopes that it will maximize the value of the time and money you’ve spent to enjoy your Disney World vacation to the fullest, what that end result looks like and the journey you take to get there is solely dependent on decisions and opinions that only you are qualified to make for yourself. It’s okay to go with the flow throughout your day and still feel as accomplished as someone who’s hopping from ride to ride all day long. Your perfect day at Disney World as a Disney Adult is what you make of it; we’re just here to offer some helpful advice along the way since we’ve seen crowds rise and fall, uncommon situations occur, and try to avoid roadblocks that could put a damper on your trip before they have a chance to begin. If this advice works for you, fantastic, and if not, that’s perfectly alright too! We’re heading to this Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival food booth for one reason, and one reason ONLY. Garlic Kissed Booth The 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially begun at Disneyland Resort, and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 21st, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat at the Garlic Kissed booth? Well, we’ve checked it out, and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu Over at the Garlic Kissed, you won’t find a robust menu. But what you will find are a few interesting drinks and a fun take on mac and cheese you don’t see often. But is it worth the cost? We’re about to find out! Garlic Kissed Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats Here, you can grab the Sirloin Gruyére Mac & Cheese this year for $9. This is made with Black Garlic Chimichurri and Garlic Butter Crunch. Sirloin Gruyére Mac & Cheese This is a new dish this year, and unfortunately, it just didn’t hit for us. It came with four big chunks of sirloin and they were all dry and tough. The mac and cheese had a super cheesy flavor and smooth consistency, and the chimichurri was on the mild side for our liking. That said, the dish had a good garlic and tangy flavor, but we weren’t a fan of all the flavors together. Not great, in our opinion This is certainly not your average mac and cheese, but we really think it could have been much better — even the ladies sitting next to us agreed that it just fell flat! Drinks For drinks at this booth, you can grab the returning Guava Lychee Mule for $17.50. It’s made with Vodka, Guava Nectar, Ginger and Lychee Syrups, Lemon Juice, topped with Guava and Grapefruit Hard Cider, and garnished with a Lemon Wheel. Guava Lychee Mule We tried this cocktail last year and thought it was super refreshing — we loved that it wasn’t too sweet and was more on the tart side. We tasted a lot more grapefruit than we did guava or lychee, though. We’d definitely get this one again. Also on the beverage menu is the Huckleberry-Citrus Cooler for $7. Huckleberry Citrus Cooler (2024) This is a non-alcoholic option with Huckleberry and agave syrups, grapefruit soda, lemon, and orange juices, and Gold Peak Black Tea garnished with an orange wedge. We really love how delicious and refreshing this is! You get a nice tart lemonade flavor, but it’s still on the sweeter side, so both flavors balance each other out. OVERALL Overall, we think that the drinks at this booth are solid but aren’t absolute standouts, but the food really falls flat. We don’t suggest going out of your way to stop by this booth necessarily, but if you’re looking for a refreshing drink, it may be a good place to stop. This has been a hit for us in past years so we’re sad to see it fall so far, but we’re crossing our fingers it’ll rise up once again next year! 2025 Garlic Kissed Festival Marketplace Booth That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Disney World is expensive; there’s no way around it, but there are ways to save a little money on your next trip. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane One of the best ways to save money, though, is to avoid pricey upgrades and extra costs, such as Lightning Lanes. Lightning Lanes are part of Disney’s paid skip-the-line service, and there are multiple tiers: Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World and are considering a skip-the-line option, you might want to check the prices before you splurge. This is our warning to you that for the next few days, Lightning Lane prices are changing! We keep track of all the latest Lightning Lane price announcements to help track any price increases or decreases. The prices change based on the crowd levels in Disney World, so the closer we get to spring break, the higher we expect the prices to rise. Can’t budget for something if you don’t know how much it costs, right? In our research, we noticed that Lightning Lane prices increase dramatically in the coming days. Lightning Lane As a reference point, this is what Lightning Lane pricing looked like on the last day of February the 28th: Lightning Lane Multi Pass Magic Kingdom: $29 Lightning Lane Multi Pass EPCOT: $24 Lightning Lane Multi Pass Hollywood Studios: $29 Lightning Lane Multi Pass Animal Kingdom: $17 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Lightning Lane Single Pass: $11 TRON Lightcycle / Run Lightning Lane Single Pass: $19 Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane Single Pass: $18 Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane Single Pass: $20 Flight of Passage Lightning Lane Single Pass: $16 Living with the Land Lightning Lane And now, here’s what pricing looks like on March 3rd: Lightning Lane Multi Pass Magic Kingdom: $39 Lightning Lane Multi Pass EPCOT: $32 Lightning Lane Multi Pass Hollywood Studios: $32 Lightning Lane Multi Pass Animal Kingdom: $29 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Lightning Lane Single Pass: $14 TRON Lightcycle / Run Lightning Lane Single Pass: $22 Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane Single Pass: $19 Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane Single Pass: $24 Flight of Passage Lightning Lane Single Pass: $18 The cost of the Magic Kingdom Multi Pass increased by $10! Note that you’re not getting anything different between February 28th and March 3rd; that price increase is due to Disney’s surge pricing model. Lightning Lane at MuppetVision*3D On March 4th, pricing stays essentially the same, with the exception of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Hollywood Studios. Here, the price jumps up to $35 from $32, and the Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane Single Pass increases another dollar to $25. Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane Not to mention that Lightning Lane Premier Pass, the pass that lets you skip EVERY ride in a single park once, also sees a major price increase on March 3rd. You’ll pay $449 for Magic Kingdom, $249 for EPCOT, $349 for Hollywood Studios, and $199 for Animal Kingdom (remember that this is priced per person, per park, per day). This is an increase from the day prior, March 2nd, where Magic Kingdom’s pricing is the same, EPCOT’s is $239, Hollywood Studios is $339, and Animal Kingdom’s is $159. Lightning Lane at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT So, why the jump? Well, it’s clear Disney is expecting some major crowds on these days, as they usually bump up pricing when ticket sales show the parks will be more crowded. With that in mind, if you’re traveling through Disney World on these days, pack your patience and be ready to bob and weave around more crowds than you originally expected. There was a big shift at Disney World this week and with the changes, there will be one mistake you want to avoid. EPCOT The days of waking early to be on your phone to grab a Virtual Queue for Disney World rides are over… for now. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom are now using standby lines instead of the Virtual Queue system. This has impacts on how you will do your next Disney World vacation. We were there in the parks on February 25th when the switch to standby began so that we could tell you, our readers, how it went! We saw a fluctuation of wait times and we even saw Cosmic Rewind hit 170 minutes at one point during the day. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind The good news is that if you are staying at a Disney World hotel, you can utilize Early Entry for Cosmic Rewind. Early Entry is for resort guests to be able to access certain rides throughout the park 30 minutes before other guests. As of right now, Tiana’s is not a part of Early Entry at Magic Kingdom, but that could change. But, if you aren’t looking to wait standby for either of these rides, there is another option. Crowds at Cosmic Rewind Both rides are available as Lightning Lanes, but this is where the mistake part comes in. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is available as a Tier 1 ride on Multi Pass. Just to refresh your memory, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an optional paid service available through the My Disney Experience app which allows you to bypass standby lines and enter the Lightning Lane at select attractions in the parks by paying a base price for multiple attractions. This Tier 1 attraction could be hard to get, but not impossible so if you are staying at a Disney hotel, you can book these 7 days ahead of your stay. If you are not, you can book these 3 days before your park visit. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure However, do NOT make the mistake of assuming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a Tier 1 attraction on Multi Pass as well. It is not, instead it is a Lightning Lane Single Pass ride. Lightning Lane Single Pass is essentially a pay-per-ride service. Guests pay a fee to utilize the Lightning Lane for an individual attraction — you can book Lightning Lane Single Passes for up to TWO attractions maximum per ticket, per day. The good news with that is if you are willing to pay for it, it guarantees you a time to ride it instead of working to grab a Tier 1 slot through Multi Pass. Lightning Lanes!
