The transformation work at World Premiere Plaza, which is being carried out in phases to minimize the impact on the guest experience, will be completed before the opening of Disney Adventure World in 2026. New “UP” Ride Coming to Adventure Way There’s even more coming to the resort’s second park when Adventure Way opens as part of Disney Adventure World in 2026! Just today, Disneyland Paris announced an all-new, family-friendly attraction that will complete the lush landscape of Adventure Way in the future, located right across from the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin. Blending the charm of family attractions with the colorful and adventure-packed world of Pixar’s “Up,” this spinning carousel will offer a bird’s-eye view of the park’s stunning scenery. Construction on the first attraction at a Disney park themed after the beloved movie will begin by the end of 2025. World of Frozen and Adventure Way Begin Taking Shape Speaking of construction, Imagineers are putting the finishing touches on the North Mountain as World of Frozen gradually comes into view. Nearly 400 tons of metal were required to build its structure, which was then covered with sculpted concrete and painted by hand. And right now, they’re also putting together décor and programming state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics characters inside the Frozen Ever After attraction. Adventure Way’s themed gardens are taking shape with more than 1,000 trees, 100,000 shrubs, as well as oversized statues of Woody and Jessie in Toy Story Garden. Over at Raiponce Tangled Spin, ride vehicles inspired by the boats in the floating lantern scene in the Disney Animation movie “Tangled” have arrived. We’re also excited to share that the iconic Mandy Moore, the original voice actor for Rapunzel in “Tangled,” will reprise her role in a variety of recorded announcements for the attraction. Be Prepared for More “The Lion King” Updates The future of Disney Adventure World doesn’t just stop there! Work will begin in 2026, enhancing and elevating the experience while preserving its wooden décor and warm atmosphere. From floor to ceiling, the structure will receive a brand-new design that pays homage to the beauty of nature while its theming will add nods to both classic and recent Disney characters who call the forest home. 5. When you’re dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Sometimes you want something quick and easy, but other times, you might feel like splurging on a table service meal, and thankfully, Disney has both options! Welcome to Disney World We recently stopped by Nine Dragons Restaurant in EPCOT to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere This is a darker, quiet restaurant, so if you’re looking for a spot that will help you get away from the crowds, this is a great restaurant to choose. We also adore the ambiance of the space and the decoration choices, as we feel they really enhance the space and give it a more elegant feel. Nine Dragons Restaurant However, if you prefer to have a lot of lighting while you eat, this may not be the restaurant for you. While this spot feels elegant thanks to those decorations, you won’t feel out of place in your theme park attire, which is a bonus in our book as well. It’s a little dark in here! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu is relatively similar to what you’ll find at your local Chinese restaurant back home, but with higher prices, which is often why many people aren’t a fan of this spot. But is the cuisine a step up from your favorite restaurant in your hometown? That’s what we’re here to find out. Menu If you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t worry — there are a few desserts on the menu as well for you to enjoy. Dessert menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats We decided to grab the Sichuan Shui Zhu Beef for $35. This is Bistro beef, white mushroom, baby corn, wide glass noodles, Sichuan chili oil broth, and while we balked at the price tag at first, this was a HUGE serving! Sichuan Shui Zhu Beef It came with a side of white rice, and what we loved most about this dish was the broth! There certainly is some spice to this dish, but it’s not intense enough that we had to take multiple breaks while eating. However, if you’re spice adverse, this dish will likely be difficult and may not be up your alley. Just look at it! The beef was delicious — tender and chewy in the best way, and we adored how the soup was chock full of the ingredients. It certainly made it a very hearty dish, so it may not be the best choice on a hot day, but it will definitely fill you up. Look at that broth! However, this meal was so large that we had to get a to-go container to carry around with us the rest of the day. While that’s great for the price you pay, it does mean you’ve got to have it with you during the rest of your EPCOT day, and sometimes that’s not ideal. Drinks To drink, we grabbed ourselves the Lychee Martini for $15, which is made of Vodka, Lychee Puree, and Vermouth. Lychee Martini While this martini was pretty solid, it wasn’t the best Lychee Martini we’ve had in Disney World. Personally, we think the best one can be found over at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs. We felt there wasn’t as much lychee flavor here, and instead, it was masked by the sweetness from the Vermouth. We would have loved just a little more lychee flavor! Again, not bad by any means, but we would have loved to have more of that lychee flavor! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re a big fan of Chinese food You’re looking for a quiet restaurant to take a break from the crowds You want plenty of leftovers! You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re looking for something more unique than the similar Chinese food you can find back at home You don’t want to spend $30+ per person on your meal (in which case, quick service is likely a better fit!) You’re not a fan of Chinese cuisine Overall This place may not have the best reputation, but overall, we think it’s a pretty solid spot that might be less expensive than other table service spots in EPCOT. But we do agree that it’s similar to what you’ll find back at home (likely for a cheaper price). Nine Dragons Just like many other spots in Disney World, we feel it’s very important to look at the menu before you decide where to dine on vacation so you know that you and your party will enjoy what’s being served. With so many choices in EPCOT, you’re bound to find something that will appease everyone on the trip — if that happens to be Nine Dragons, we think it’s a good option to consider! Inside Nine Dragons In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. 8. Cruise ducks are safe, y’all. ©Carnival If you’ve been on a Carnival cruise lately, you might’ve spotted a tiny rubber duck tucked behind a plant or perched on a ledge. It’s part of a trend that’s only getting bigger — guests hiding ducks for others to find. But recently, rumors started swirling that Carnival might crack down on the practice… and people had opinions. Let’s talk about what’s really going on — and what Carnival’s Brand Ambassador had to say about it. Before we get into the details, Small World Vacations’ services are 100% free and can help you book your Disney Cruise, as well as arrange special accommodations that you might need onboard the ship, find cruise line deals, and discuss your travel insurance options with you (so you feel confident in whatever decision you make. So, what’s the deal with ducks? Here’s the quick backstory: guests have been hiding small rubber ducks all over Carnival cruise ships for the past few years. It’s basically a floating scavenger hunt. Some ducks have little tags saying where they’re from, others have cute cruise-themed messages, and the idea is simple — hide a duck, make someone smile when they find it. ©foreverkaren.com This trend is fan-led and totally unofficial, but it’s picked up steam thanks to Facebook groups and cruisers sharing their finds. Some people collect ducks from every ship they’ve sailed on. Others bring bags full of the little guys just to spread some joy. It’s become a whole vibe. ©Amazon But then… the internet did what it does and made people panic. Wait, is Carnival banning ducks?? That’s what a recent YouTube video title suggested. The video asked, “Is Carnival considering canceling people from bringing ducks on board?” and the cruise community immediately started freaking out. Enter: John Heald. ©Carnival If you’ve ever cruised with Carnival or followed their social media, you probably know the name. He’s the Brand Ambassador and senior cruise director for Carnival Cruise Lines. He responded to the whole duck drama in a video on his Facebook page, and honestly? He shut it down in the best possible way. “The answer is no,” he said right off the bat. ©USA Today He explained that the rumor started because someone said they walk around the ship picking up ducks and throwing them away. (Why? No one knows.) John didn’t hold back: “I don’t know why oh why oh why somebody would do that. Listen, not everybody is going to like hiding the ducks. Not everybody is going to enjoy finding them, but the majority of people do and it brings joy to those people. I’ve said this over and over again, why would that bother you?” Fair question. ©USA Today Then he gave his stamp of approval once and for all: “If somebody finds a little duck and it brings you joy, if somebody hides it and it brings you joy, who cares? Keep bringing the ducks. Keep hiding them. Keep finding them.” ©thestreet.com So there you have it. Straight from the cruise director himself — Carnival is not banning rubber ducks. They’re totally fine with it, as long as you’re being respectful and not tossing ducks into the pool filters or anything wild like that. What this means if you’re cruising soon If you’re sailing with Carnival anytime soon and want to join the duck game, go for it! A few quick tips if you’re new to it: You can find cruise ducks on Etsy, Amazon, or even your local dollar store. Most cruisers add little tags to their ducks with their name, sailing date, or a fun message. Hiding spots range from obvious (on a ledge in a hallway) to creative (tucked near a planter, behind a statue, etc.). Don’t hide ducks in places that could cause a safety issue or interfere with crew operations. Keep it friendly and fun. Carnival has leaned into this trend in a low-key way, letting the cruisers run with it — and honestly, it’s kind of refreshing to see a big cruise line just say, “Yeah, this makes people happy. Go ahead.” So yes, the ducks are staying. And if you’re sailing soon? Maybe pack a few. You never know whose day you’ll make with a $1 rubber duck wearing sunglasses. ©Carnival For more Disney tips and information, be sure to follow us at DFB. Are There Casinos on Disney Cruise Ships? 9. Okay, let’s chat about Disney World pretzels — yes, this is one of our favorite subjects. American Adventure Now, there are some great pretzels to be had in Disney World, and we’ve made it no secret that sometimes, all we really want is a Mickey-shaped pretzel with plastic cheese. However, there are OTHER pretzels and pretzel snacks that we love, too. We never expected to find our new favorite pretzel snack in EPCOT at the American Adventure Pavilion. But here we are, and here’s our review. Sure, you knew you could get a Mickey Pretzel all over EPCOT, but a new pretzel snack has entered the arena — and we are here for it! The Pretzel Nuggets with Beer Cheese for $8.50 was already something we were excited about trying, so let’s get into how they were, shall we? We found this one at Block & Hans at the American Adventure Pavilion. Pretzel Nuggets with Beer Cheese The pretzels are made with garlic butter, barbecue rub, and beer-cheese sauce. Yum, yum, and YUM! We’re happy to report that these are AMAZING. The pretzels are soft and chewy and reminded us of Auntie Anne’s pretzels in a way, just without as much salt. These have rubbed spices on them, though, and that makes them so flavorful. SO good But it’s the house-made beer cheese that knocks this snack out of the park. The dip is served warm and combined with the pretzels, it’s the perfect snack (yep, we said it). We will warn you, though, that you only get one little serving of beer cheese sauce, so you might have to pay extra if you want more (and you will). That cheese sauce, though So if you’re craving something a little salty dipped in cheese in EPCOT, head on over to American Adventure because that’s where it’s at. Stay tuned to DFB for more. 12. If you’re heading to Disney World for the first time, you do not want to mess around with picking the wrong hotel. Art of Animation There are a lot of resorts to choose from (seriously, a lot). And while many of them have recently been upgraded with sleek, modern makeovers, there’s still one resort that screams Disney magic in every corner — without completely draining your wallet. It’s colorful, it’s themed to the MAX, and it’s absolutely perfect for families who want that full “we’re REALLY at Disney” feeling from the second they walk in the door. And that resort is… Art of Animation! Art of Animation Let’s be honest — the hotel is part of the Disney experience. You can absolutely feel the difference when you’re staying somewhere that’s just as fun and immersive as the parks themselves. Art of Animation pulls this off perfectly with its bright, character-filled spaces inspired by The Little Mermaid, Cars, The Lion King, and Finding Nemo. You’re not just sleeping in a room — you’re stepping into a Disney movie. And the best part is that you don’t have to fork over Deluxe-level prices to get it. Art of Animation Now, don’t get us wrong — this place is technically a value resort, but it’s also the bougie one of the bunch. The themed family suites (Cars, Nemo, and Lion King) are going to run you around $500–$700+ per night. Yep, that’s a lot — especially for a value hotel. BUT consider this: you’re getting a suite that sleeps up to six people, with a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, a living room with a Murphy bed and pull-out couch, and even a kitchenette. Nemo Family Suite at Art of Animation Resort Compare that to a standard room at a Deluxe resort that starts in the same price range but has way less space and much more subtle theming. Suddenly, that suite starts making a whole lot more sense. Art of Animation Still feeling the sticker shock? We get it. If you want the fun Disney vibes without the higher suite cost, the Little Mermaid standard rooms are your answer. These rooms hover more in the $250–$300+ range per night, and while they’re smaller (sleeping up to four) and don’t come with the extra bathroom or living room space, they still bring the magic with full-on under-the-sea theming. ©Disney Just a heads up — those rooms are far from the main lobby, food court, and Skyliner station. I mean, get-your-steps-in far. After a full day in the parks, that extra walk can feel like a hike. But if saving a few hundred bucks a night means a little more foot pain? Some families find it totally worth it. Art of Animation Now, let’s talk about convenience — because if you’re doing Disney for the first time, the last thing you want is complicated transportation. Art of Animation is connected to the Disney Skyliner — the gondola system that zips you straight to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios in a breeze. The ride is smooth, the views are great, and it’s so much better than cramming into a bus during rush hour. Skyliner Station at Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts For Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, you’re still using the bus system, which is fine — but the Skyliner alone gives Art of Animation a serious edge over other value hotels. Disney Skyliner at Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts Food-wise, you’ve only got one option: Landscape of Flavors. It’s a classic food court, and while it won’t win any culinary awards, it does have a wide variety of options that’ll make both picky eaters and adventurous foodies happy enough. Think pizza, burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and a few rotating dishes with more flair. Landscape of Flavors And we have to mention the pools — because if you’ve got little ones (or just love a good pool day), this hotel crushes it. The Big Blue Pool, inspired by Finding Nemo, is actually the biggest pool on Disney property. There’s also the Cars-themed Cozy Cone Pool and the Flippin’ Fins Pool by the Little Mermaid section. Whether your kids are splashing in a sea of blue or chilling under a giant traffic cone cabana, it’s a whole vibe. Big Blue Pool At the end of the day, Art of Animation is THE Disney World hotel we recommend for first-timers because it checks so many boxes: fun theming, solid amenities, great transportation, and an experience that feels 100% Disney from start to finish. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad We’ve been monitoring the status of this ride every time we go to Magic Kingdom, and there seems to be a pretty big update right in front of us! There is a new track on Big Thunder Mountain! New track! We’ve been seeing Cast Members slowly remove the track, but now parts of the new track are officially in and looking as shiny as ever. Lots of work happening That dark piece of track to the left is the new piece, and we can’t wait to board our train and try it out. Looking good! Look at how pretty it is! Yes, only Disney Adults get excited over a new piece of roller coaster track. Big Thunder Mountain Big Thunder Mountain does not have a specific reopening date yet, but it will be closed through all of 2025 and reopen in 2026 with “a little bit of new magic.” That’s code for *Disney won’t reveal exactly what’s changing,* but we’re hoping the ride will be back and better than ever. 18. We went to Universal Epic Universe before it opened to the public, and we rode EVERY ride in the park! Epic Universe Across two different previews, we’ve checked out all the rides, and we’ve been sharing our experiences in the park so that you know what to expect when Epic Universe opens to the public on May 22nd, 2025. And if you’re hyped about Super Nintendo World, we’re here to share exactly what it’s like to ride Mine-Cart Madness! Mine-Cart Madness is the new Donkey Kong-themed coaster in Epic Universe. It’s located in the Donkey Kong Country area of Super Nintendo World, and it has some pretty cool tricks up its sleeve in terms of special effects. Mine Cart Madness This is described as one of the family coasters in the park, so it’s made for kids and adults alike to enjoy. But the neat thing about it? There are parts of the ride where you appear to jump OFF the track, just like in the video games you know and love. Mine Cart Madness Even though this is a family coaster, we found it pretty thrilling because of the fact that it looks like the track drops out from under you. It makes the drops feel droppier and the jumps feel jumpier! The illusion is pretty good overall, however, there were some times when our ride vehicle was supposed to have “jumped” and it didn’t truly feel like we were airborne. Donkey Kong Country The main caution we’ll give you with this coaster is that it is incredibly herky-jerky. Especially on the “jump” portions, there’s a lot of shaking that makes you feel like you’re being thrown around a little. But all that jerkiness really just adds to the overall thrill. We would definitely say that this coaster is a level above Curse of the Werewolf in terms of thrill. The ride vehicles Even outside of the thrill, this ride has some truly incredible theming. You go both indoors and outdoors, and you get a great view of the Donkey Kong Country set pieces throughout. The end of the ride features a giant Donkey Kong animatronic, and you get the golden banana, which would be really fun for fans of Donkey Kong as a franchise. Nintendo lovers will appreciate the storyline and theming — it’s really immersive! Portal Entrance to Super Nintendo World So that’s our experience with Mine-Cart Madness! 20. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been under refurbishment for a few years now. Grand Floridian Resort Starting with an overhaul of the guest rooms, this multi-year project has taken over pretty much the whole resort at one point or another, but it’s finally drawing to a close. Last but not least is the lobby update, which includes the addition of a new lobby bar. However, in order for this change to happen, it seems like we might lose a beloved tradition — the Grand Floridian gingerbread house. According to Disney, the lobby refurbishment is going to interfere with a longstanding Grand Floridian tradition. Because of the renovations, the giant gingerbread house display will not be available this year. Can you believe that’s gingerbread? The Grand Floridian lobby gingerbread house has been a tradition of the resort for the last 25 years, and we’ll definitely be disappointed to not have it in 2025. It typically draws heavy crowds to the resort during the holiday season with its impressive craftsmanship and delicious seasonal treats. Gingerbread shingle Work on the lobby is set to begin this month and will last through November 2025, which goes into the time that the gingerbread house is usually open. Due to space constraints, they won’t have the room to build the massive structure (seriously, it’s the size of a small cottage). However, Disney has confirmed to us that the other gingerbread displays at Disney World hotels will be returning. It’s seriously big. So if you can’t get your gingerbread fix at the Grand Floridian, you could visit the Contemporary gingerbread castle, the Beach Club gingerbread carousel, or even the BoardWalk’s mini gingerbread model of the resort itself. Cinderella Castle Dream Lights gingerbread display Hopefully, we’ll get to see the return of the Grand Floridian gingerbread house in 2026, after the lobby refurbishment is complete. The construction project will include updates to the carpet, new furniture, and the addition of the Grand Floridian Lobby Bar. ©Disney We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with any more news from this resort. 21. Disney World and Universal Orlando aren’t the only things making big changes this year. MCO Airport Even Orlando International Airport is getting some updates. A new parking guidance system is on the way, Terminal C is getting an expansion, and new shops and restaurants are coming to the airport soon. We previously got a list of new restaurants coming to the airport, but now Orlando International Airport has shared new concept art showcasing those new restaurants PLUS concept art of some new shops. Okay, the one thing to get really excited about is that these restaurants and shops are coming to Terminals A and B. If you’ve flown to Disney World, you’ve probably been unimpressed by the dining and shopping options available in those terminals, but fortunately, that’s about to change. 22. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Welcome to Disney World We recently stopped by Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Hollywood Studios to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere When you step inside Sci-Fi Dine-In, day automatically turns to nighttime as you step into a drive-in movie parking lot. Sci-Fi Dine-In There are various tables where you can sit, including car tables with bench seating, car tables with chairs, and picnic tables towards the back of the lot. Depending on your party size, you may share your car with other diners. While you dine, cartoons and movie trailers play. Sci-Fi Dine-In is super immersive, and if you are looking for a place to beat the heat, Sci-Fi is it because, in our experience, it is pretty chilly! Sit back and watch as you dine! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu here mimics the 1950s era in which the restaurant is set and serves American favorites like milkshakes, burgers, and fries. From time to time, the menu gets an update, and that is why we had to check this spot out again to try all the new menu items! The Menu There are also alcoholic drink options on the menu, including wine and beer. Drinks Of course, no meal is finished without dessert! Dessert Menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the new Feature Film Burger. This burger rotates out a few times a year, so make sure to ask your server for the current special. When we visited the Feature Film Burger was their signature blend of beef topped with sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, and house-made sauerkraut served on a pretzel bun for $26. We got ours served with a side of fries. Feature Film Burger This burger was crispy, and it was kind of burnt. We really enjoyed the toppings, as the corned beef was super thin and tender. The sauerkraut added a pleasant acidity taste, and if you love sauerkraut, you will be wishing there was more! The Thousand Island-like sauce brought everything together. Our only complaint is that we hoped that the pretzel bun would be a bit fluffier. We loved this! We then tried the Cyborg-er for $26. This burger featured a signature blend of beef topped with griddled pastrami and pepper jack, lettuce, and heirloom tomato drizzled with house-made Carolina mustard sauce. Cyborg-er For us, this was kinda just meh. This burger is thick! The pastrami was okay and had a bit of a smokey flavor. The heirloom tomato tasted like it was not ripe, and you could hardly taste the mustard sauce. While the Feature Film Burger was better, we still enjoyed this. It is a big burger! To finish out our entree portion of the meal, we also tried the Fried Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich for $22. This sandwich has fried chicken thigh topped with ham and melted Swiss cheese on a bed of arugula with our signature maple dijon served on a brioche bun. Fried Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich Sadly, the chicken was pretty bland. It had an odd taste that we were not a fan of. There were not enough toppings to even make it taste like a Cordon Bleu Sandwich, and the sauce was pretty much just a honey mustard sauce. We also wish the cheese was more melty. Out of the three, this ranks last on our list. This was not the best. To round out our meal and time at Sci-Fi Dine-In, we got a brand-new dessert! The Cerulean Moon is $9.50 and features a chocolate mousse dome with strawberry filling on a graham cracker tart with a hibiscus sponge, green space dust, and chocolate-caramel sauce. Cerulean Moon We really like this dessert! The chocolate mousse was thick and smooth and had a fantastic chocolate flavor. It was a bit dense, so if you were hoping for a fluffier mousse dessert, this might leave you a bit disappointed. Towards the bottom of the dome, there is a strawberry filling that had a nice, fresh strawberry taste. As for the hibiscus sponge cake, it did not taste flower-y and instead just tasted like plain cake. As for the space dust, we were not too sure of what it was as it was just like crispy green flakes. This dessert is so bright! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You want to dine in a cool atmosphere. The themeing here is heavy, and you are really immersed as soon as you step inside. It can be a bit jarring when you leave, and it is light outside. You want to eat American classics. While the menu might not be super big, picky eaters should be able to find something they would like. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You don’t want to share a table. If you want to eat at a car table as have a party of two or four, the odds are that you can expect some extra company in your car, as cars can sit up to six, two by two. You want a quick dining experience. The service here can be a bit slow. If you are looking for a faster meal, you may want to avoid a table service meal like this one and instead dine at a quick service location. You want a more adventurous meal. While the new items we tried were a bit out there, at the end of the day, it is still pretty much only burgers and sandwiches, which can be a bit boring. Overall We were not super blown away with these new menu additions, and they would not be the reason we would return in the future. Overall, our favorite items were the Feature Film Burger and the Cerulean Moon. We aren’t in a rush to come back to Sci-Fi Dine-In, but it is still a super fun and immersive place to eat at! 23. Summer is a popular time for guests to visit Disney World and this year will be no different. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Some big things are happening this summer with the new Spaceship Earth lounge, GEO-82, opening. We will also see a lot changing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the Muppets courtyard closing and two new shows opening. So, if you are planning a trip to see all of the new things this summer, there is one date you may want to avoid. “The Voyage of the Little Mermaid” has been closed since 2020, and “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” is the NEW attraction that will replace it. The show will feature live actors, puppets, digital animation, and even some live motion capture integrated together to fully replicate the underwater setting. Some characters might even feature a mix of all of these styles. ©Disney The show is being re-told almost entirely from Ariel’s point of view. Even the set and stage are “inspired by the way a teenager would decorate their walls.” The show will feature two Ariel-centric songs that weren’t in the original show — “Daughters of Triton” and “Kiss the Girl.” The show opens on May 27th! The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will also be opening on May 27th. In this show, the Magic Mirror summons some of your favorite Disney Villains who will break through the glass and explain why we’ve misunderstood them. While you will get to see some classic Disney Villains up on stage, like Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and Maleficent, there will be other villains that do not get much recognition in the parks. ©Disney The two shows opening on the exact same day will likely draw large crowds to Hollywood Studios on May 27th. Even if you aren’t interested in the new shows, the crowds for those will also be visiting the rest of the park while there, likely causing higher wait times. We recommend waiting a few weeks for the hype to slow down around the shows before visiting (if you have a choice). If your trip is already booked, you may just want to plan to visit a different park on May 27th. Then keep an eye on wait time and hop over to Studios if things aren’t too hectic! 24. Watching Happily Ever After to end your day at Magic Kingdom can be so magical! Happily Ever After Did you know that you could upgrade your fireworks viewing experience? While the Magic Kingdom hosts a variety of Firework Dessert Parties at Tomorrowland Terrace, you can get a private viewing experience from outside the park! It will cost you a pretty penny, but let me tell you, it is 100% worth it!! As an enchanting extra to your Disney World vacation, you can book a fireworks cruise through the My Disney Experience app or by calling (407) 939-7529. Bookings can be made 60 days in advance, and you can even put in celebration requests, as your pontoon boat can be decorated for your special day! You can choose a cruise to view Happily Ever After from the Magic Kingdom or Luminous “The Symphony of Us” from EPCOT. I recently took my fourth Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise (and have taken one EPCOT fireworks cruise), and although I have done it so many times, I will continue to do it again and again! Fireworks Cruise Boats Fireworks cruises start at $449 before tax, and each pontoon boat can seat up to 10 guests. So when you think about it, if you split it between your party, the price is not too steep, especially for a private and chartered cruise. When you book this experience, you will have a few options of hotel docks from which you can be picked up. For this cruise, we were picked up at the Contemporary at Boat Nook Marina. You can park at the hotel simply by having your reservation number readily available for the security guard at the gate. Remember to give yourself plenty of extra time to arrive before your sailing time, as Disney World transportation and traffic can be unpredictable. You should arrive no later than an hour and 15 minutes prior to the fireworks showtime. Boat Nook Marina When you check in, a Cast Member who will be your captain will guide you along the dock to board your pontoon boat. This Cast Member will be along for the entire ride, and it can be super fun to chat with them and learn about the history of Disney World! The price of your cruise includes bottled water, sodas, and snacks. Alcohol is allowed on board, just not in glasses or glass bottles. Before boarding your cruise, you can head to the Sand Bar right outside the marina to pick up a drink. SNACKS! Your snacks are placed on top of the cooler, which keeps your drinks cold. Your cruise also comes with sodas and water While the music for Happily Ever After does get piped in when it is showtime, you have the option to connect your phone to Bluetooth as you cruise around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon before the fireworks start. This cruise gives you an up-close look at some Disney history, like the abandoned Discovery Island. Pontoon Boat When it is time for the fireworks to start, the Cast Member will find a spot to “float” so you can get a view of the castle and the fireworks. Although you are outside of the park, you can still see some of the projections and get a great view of Tinker Bell as she takes flight during the end of the show. It is a great view! Depending on timing, you may get a close view of the Electrical Water Pageant (which is my favorite entertainment offering at Disney World). Make sure to tell the Cast Member captaining your boat that you would like to try to see it. It is not always guaranteed, but I have gotten to see the pageant on three out of the four Magic Kingdom fireworks cruises that I have taken. I was a Disney World Cast Member, and This Is How Many Times I Got To See the Fireworks While I Was Working Electrical Water Pageant Then, it is sadly time to head back to the marina. You are more than welcome to take home the extra drinks and snacks with you. As a pro tip, bring a plastic bag with you on board to take your bounty home. Although it is not required, tips are always appreciated as a thank you for the great service provided by the Cast Member who took you on your cruise. Views of Magic Kingdom from the water Seeing Disney fireworks from the water has always been spectacular. It is a great way to add a touch of Disney to your day without having to visit the parks. While it does come with a hefty price tag, when you break it down, the cruise is good for 10 guests, comes with snacks and drinks, includes a relaxing ride before the fireworks, and gives you a private view of the show. I will always recommend this experience and can’t wait until I get to sail again! 25. Hello, fellow plush collectors! It’s once again time to mark your calendars for another Disney Store Japan plush drop on DisneyStore.com. On Monday, April 14 at 8 a.m. PST, the special edition Pastel Plush collection will be available for the first time to Disney Store guests in North America. To top that, this is also the first time that DisneyStore.com will carry the super popular plush keychains you’ve likely seen on social media! Each plush is sold separately. I’m particularly excited for the keychains because, as I’m sure many can relate, while my urge to continue expanding my plush collection knows no bounds, my shelf space leaves little room for new additions. Now I can get all the cuteness of the medium and small-sized plush bundled up into mini 5-inch keychain versions that are perfect nestled at home with my other stuffed animals or attached to my favorite accessory while I’m on the go. Each plush is sold separately. Each plush is sold separately. Each plush is sold separately. Each plush is sold separately. Each plush is sold separately. Each plush is sold separately. The pastel plushies and keychains also look as sweet as can be when characters are paired together, like the mischievous chipmunk duo Chip and Dale. And don’t even get me started on the fact that this collection includes both Thumper and Miss Bunny—an adorable Disney couple I absolutely need more of in my life! Each plush is sold separately. The collection also features Dumbo, Marie, Stitch, and Winnie the Pooh as both medium plush and keychains, so you can pick your favorite character and plush style from the bunch. Though, no judgment if you just can’t resist and find yourself getting them all! If you can’t wait until April 14 to get your fill of fluffy plushies, check out the International Arrivals page on DisneyStore.com for even more plush collections from Disney Store Japan that you can purchase and have sent to your home right now. And don’t forget to keep checking back for updates on new international collections launching in the upcoming months!
