Springtime is in the air and on the ground here at Disneyland park, and again this year I am totally blown away by the blossoms. The Disneyland Resort horticulture team has been out in full-force – planting, pruning and perfecting the seasonal landscape. Take a look backstage at the Disneyland Resort nursery, where the team prepares plants for their day in the sun. Disneyland Resort Horticulture Team Fun Facts The Horticulture team consists of approximately 100 cast members. The cast members have expertise in the following disciplines: landscape design, installation and maintenance, arboriculture, landscape irrigation, landscape design, integrated pest management, and project management. Ninety percent of the Horticulture workforce works third shift, beginning at 2 a.m. All of the arborists at the Disneyland Resort are either certified arborists or certified tree workers. Disney fans everywhere are pretty excited for Aprill 22nd — the anniversary of Animal Kingdom’s opening, and the debut of the Rivers of Light evening spectacular as well as the Harambe Wildlife Parti and the Discovery Island Carnivale. But after that date, it’s not as though the changes will stop coming to Animal Kingdom as it transitions into a all-day-into-nighttime park. Even after the arrival of Rivers of Light, two more highly anticipated additions will still be on the way this summer: the opening of Tiffins, Animal Kingdom’s very first signature restaurant, and the accompanying Nomad Lounge in the Discovery Island area of the park. Artist’s Rendering of Tiffins Restaurant ©Disney Tiffins will serve lunch and dinner daily, and the menu will feature food that “takes diners to Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americans.” But Disney has now released more about the restaurant’s atmosphere and backstory. Emily O’Brien, the Walt Disney Imagineering Executive Show Producer for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, states that “Tiffins is not about a make-believe place, it’s about real people and places.” Artist’s Rendering of Entrance to Tiffins Restaurant ©Disney Therefore, like the menu, the setting itself will also be globally-inspired. The interior will reflect “a gallery you can dine in with artwork that is a direct result of travels to Africa, Asia and South America which influenced the design of the park.” The 252 seats in Tiffins will be divided into three Galleries (dining rooms). A focal point of the 74-seat Trek Gallery (Asia) will be a three-dimensional piece featuring prayer flags that look as though they are blowing in the wind. The Safari Gallery (Africa) will seat 64 guests. The Grand Gallery will be the largest of the three, seating 144 guests. This Gallery will honor some of the animal species that Disney aims to help protect through the Disney Conservation Fund. The celebration of travel will continue in the Nomad Lounge (adjacent to Tiffins). This spot’s decor will also focus on the core values of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which, according to Disney, include “the intrinsic value of nature, transformation through adventure and a personal call to action.” Artist’s Rendering of Nomad Lounge ©Disney The Lounge will feature waterfront views, and tales of travel will also play a major part as large banners will showcase “artistic representations of answers to travel questions” such as “What do you always do when traveling” and “What was your most adventurous moment?” And this is where guests at Nomad Lounge will have the chance to add their answers to these travel-focused questions: diners will be able to purchase a tag upon which they can write their personal answers, which will be displayed above the bar. (The funds from the purchased tags will support the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.) As Disneyland Resort Casting and Booking Director Stan Freese prepares for retirement, he reflects on all that he has been able to accomplish at the Disneyland Resort. From conducting the triumphant percussions of the Disneyland Band to bringing in 500 tubas to simultaneously play holiday music, Stan has set the musical beat of the Disneyland Resort for decades. Stan’s Disney career began 43 years ago when he became the first Magic Kingdom Park band director at Walt Disney World Resort. From there, Stan went on to lead the Disneyland Band, later taking on roles at Tokyo Disneyland as show director and at Walt Disney World Resort as entertainment producer. Playing an integral part in entertainment and musical offerings for Disney Parks worldwide, Stan feels most grateful for the role he has been able to play here at the Disneyland Resort, expanding and diversifying the resort’s live music offerings. “I truly enjoy bringing in new, fun concepts and ideas to the resort,” said Stan, a world-renowned tuba soloist who came to the attention of Disney after performing at the White House for President Richard Nixon. “We give great employment to the finest entertainers and musicians in the country. This translates into the best music and entertainment for our guests,” said Stan. “Our guests deserve the very best and our musicians deserve to perform with the very best.” Stan is most proud of having created the educational series, Disneyland Resort Salutes the American Band concert — an annual concert series presented by the Disneyland Band that introduces Orange County second-grade students to the history of the American band. “I was lucky to have fallen into this job — a job that I like, a job that I am good at. The newest Walt Disney World table-service restaurant is part of the biggest expansion in the history of Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Tiffins, in the park’s Discovery Island area, opens this summer with dishes inspired by the world travels of the park’s creators. “Tiffin” is the Indian word for a lunchbox used by travelers (also a mid-day meal), and the 252-seat restaurant in the park’s Discovery Island area will open daily for lunch and dinner with menus that takes diners to Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. A detailed map within the restaurant’s entryway sets the stage for an immersive dining experience celebrating world travel, with bold artwork derived from sketches, journals and research from those who created the theme park. “Tiffins is the signature restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, celebrating the culture of design and research that went into creating this unique park,” said Emily O’Brien, Walt Disney Imagineering executive show producer for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. O’Brien describes the interior design as “a gallery you can dine in with artwork that is a direct result of travels to Africa, Asia and South America which influenced the design of the park.” The ideas of the park’s design team, including sketches, photography, architecture and textures, are all presented in a way that is uniquely Disney. “All the senses are explored and turned into amazing works of art,” said O’Brien. “The galleries, or dining rooms, focus on Asia [Trek Gallery with 74 seats] and Africa [Safari Gallery with 64 seats], and the third [Grand Gallery with 114 seats] pays homage to animal species that the Disney Conservation Fund works to protect.” The travel-inspired artwork includes a static, three-dimensional piece that features prayer flags blowing in the wind. “As our research team traveled up the high mountains of Nepal, the winds were strong,” explained O’Brien. “The prayer flags are rarely seen hanging, they are always blowing.” This portrayal of the motion is realistically captured in the display which will hang above a corner booth in the Trek Gallery. “Tiffins is not about a make-believe place, it’s about real people and places,” said O’Brien. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is about the intrinsic value of nature, transformation through adventure and a personal call to action, and the adjacent Nomad Lounge brings into focus these core values. With beautiful waterfront views, the lounge focuses on storytelling, and also on guests’ travels, with large banners as “artistic representations” of answers to travel questions written on the perimeter wall. For instance, “what do you always do when traveling” or “what was your most adventurous moment?” “We’re trying to tell the story of how guests can make a change,” said O’Brien. While the answers of Disney experts are displayed, guests also have the opportunity to purchase a tag that supports the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund and to write their own answers to the questions to display above the bar– a way to share their own travel stories “so they can be a part of the story,” said O’Brien. We are big fans of Epcot around here, just like you are. It may not be the original Disney World Park, but it holds a charm that few other spots in the Disney universe can. After all, walking around there feels like you’ve stepped into the dreams of Walt Disney himself. It didn’t start life as the Experimental Prototype City Of Tomorrow for nothing! Epcot!!! The park has evolved a bit through the years, but we’re still enchanted by its dual personalities: Future World, celebrating technology and the promise of what’s to come; and World Showcase, which encourages visitors to embrace cultures from around the globe in order to learn from them. While there’s so much to do and see, tops on our list are the eats! Today, we’re sharing with you our favorite Epcot Restaurants — the ones we don’t want you to miss. Via Napoli Via Napoli is a rare Disney restaurant in my book, and there are two reasons why. First, I eat there nearly every time I visit Walt Disney World, whether I tell you guys about it or not. And two, the food is pretty much always good. Via Napoli in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion is One of My Favorite Epcot Stops There’s no disputing, in my opinion, that Via Napoli is your top destination for good pizza in Disney World. But there is so much more than that here! To begin, they have some terrific beverages. And while inventive cocktails and exclusive craft beers number among them, you should try the completely refreshing (and non-alcoholic) Acqua Fresca at least once…especially if you’re visiting on a hot day! Acqua Fresca Appetizers and starters are fresh and interesting as well. When I order the Fritto Misto, I always request extra nuggets of Fried Mozzarella Cheese. So good! Fritto Misto Platter Mozzarella Caprese — Up Close You can’t go wrong with pizzas at Via Napoli. The crust is prepared with imported flour and water similar to what you’ll find in Southern Italy. The pies are fired hot and fast, and arrive to your table still steaming from the ovens. Piccante Signature Pizza But don’t overlook Via Napoli’s pasta dishes, either. Whether you’re going for tomato-based sauces or something decadent and creamy, we’ve had some real winners. Paccheri alla Crema con Pollo And save room for dessert. I’ve had some delicious options, but the Zeppole wins my vote for the best, hands down! Zeppole with Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream But then, how could you possibly go wrong with what amounts to an Italian doughnut? Garden Grill Restaurant What’s not to love about Garden Grill Restaurant in The Land Pavilion? Garden Grill This place has everything! It rotates (yes — it, like, physically rotates in a circle), so you see an ever-changing landscape — courtesy of Living with the Land, one of the attractions that shares real estate with the restaurant. Living with the Land as seen from Garden Grill — The Farmhouse And the food, which is served family-style and is all you care to enjoy, is really, really good. These days, they are serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and frankly, I can’t decide which I like the best. Here are a few pics. You decide! Breakfast Platter at Garden Grill Cinnamon Bun Bake Garden Grill Entrees So it spins…and the food is guuuuuuud. Harvest Skillet Cake — So Yum!! Surely, that’s enough, right? Nope! On top of all that, there are characters! Enjoy interaction with Chip n’ Dale, Farmer Mickey, and Pluto while you dine. Farmer Mickey! And because of the round structure of the restaurant, character interaction always feels even more special in some way, like you’re the only guest there. Plus the circular architecture makes it easy for Mickey and Pluto to sneak up on you and play peek-a-boo! SUPER FREAKING FUN for the toddler set. If you haven’t had the chance to dine at Garden Grill, be sure to book your advance dining reservation on your next visit! Sunshine Seasons But you aren’t out of luck if you prefer counter service to table service. Because you’ll find plenty to love at Sunshine Seasons. Sunshine Seasons at The Land pavilion in Epcot Located in The Land Pavilion (yep — just an escalator ride away from Garden Grill — that building has more than its fair share of good Disney food karma), this is counter service food that tastes more like table service quality. They serve breakfast (a little-known fact), lunch, and dinner here, so there’s always something delicious to try. They also have some interesting Grab and Go selections — including some super yummo cupcakes, which change up seasonally. Apple Spice Cupcake, A Recent Favorite From Sunshine Seasons As for entrees, you can choose from LOTSA goodies, including Asian specialties and yummy vegetarian options, too. But hands down, my favorites at Sunshine Seasons are the Oak-Fired Grilled entrees. Roasted Chicken with Black Beans and Rice I can always go for their Roasted Chicken, but the Pork Chop is delicious as well. And if you prefer fish, be sure to check out their Salmon — people love it! Tutto Gusto For our next choice, we’re headed back to World Showcase — and right back to the Italy Pavilion, in fact — to hang out at Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. Fireplace Area Seating at Tutto Gusto I mean look at that. How many theme parks that you’ve been to have a cozy wine bar where you can sit on couches next to a fireplace?!? Ever since this uber cozy spot opened, I have been a fan. Featuring small plates and fantastic Italian wines, a respite at Tutto Gusto is like a tour of Italy. Via food. Which we all know if the best way to see a country. To explore like a native, check out their Wine Flights. It’s a great way to learn more about the various regions where wine is produced. Best of Italy Wine Flight But there’s a full bar as well. While you can enjoy just about anything you can dream up, I suggest you explore some of their special cocktails, especially those using liquors and liqueurs from Italy. Tutto Gusto Cocktail But the drinks are only half the story here, because there’s also some seriously great food. The Panini aren’t what we normally get here in the US. But the “small bread sandwiches” feature really interesting combos, like Fontina with Artichoke or Salametto — or both! Tutto Gusto Panini — Artichoke Fontina and Salametto Fontina Other small plates feature Pasta, like Ravioli de Ricotta. Ravioli di Ricotta This rich dish packs a ton of flavor. Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie There’s a lot to love about Epcot’s France Pavilion. You’ll find wonderful ice cream treats to enjoy at L’Artisan des Glaces. And taking in lunch or dinner at Les Chefs de France is always high on my list. But whatever time of day it is, I can always find a reason to visit Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie! Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot’s France Pavilion Seriously — are you looking for a French-inspired breakfast? Pastries and baked goods are prepared authentically and fresh right in Les Halles’ own kitchens and ovens. Bakery Case at Les Halles My favorites are the Frangipane Triangles. With flaky pastry and a rich almond filling center, it makes for a great start to my day. I know — they look totally boring. There’s no chocolate! No cream! But ERMEHGERD they are SOOOOO good. And this is coming from a cupcake and frosting devotee. Frangipane Triangle For a light lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong with one of Les Halles’ sandwiches. Enjoying a Jambon Beurre always reminds me of my broke college student days in Switzerland when I had to eat at train stations. Wait a minute. That doesn’t sound right. Let me put that into context by saying that the ham, cheese, and butter sandwiches served at Swiss gas stations and train stations are THE BEST!!!!!! Jambon Beurre Sandwich But one of my favorite things to do is to grab a Cheese Plate and a Baguette and people watch from a bench or a spot by the fountain. And don’t forget — Les Halles is a great place to stop for a drink. That includes mimosas that are on the menu starting at 9AM!!! Yep — Les Halles is not only the ONLY place you can eat in World Showcase before 11AM without a reservation…it also serves ALCOHOL at 9AM. I’m just gonna put that right there. Don’t Forget the Wine! Coffee or hot chocolate, beer or wine…you’ll find great options at this counter service cafe any time of the day. La Hacienda de San Angel La Hacienda de San Angel hasn’t always impressed me. My visits to the restaurant, which is the Mexico Pavilion’s newest place to dine, have been evenly split between great and not so much. But this is definitely a place where I consider the big picture when it comes to formulating an opinion. What do I mean by that? Mostly, I consider La Hacienda’s location to be a great big part of its charm. The View from La Hacienda de San Angel Open only for dinner, La Hacienda de San Angel occupies primo real estate right on Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon. That makes this a beautiful location for taking in Illuminations. Fireworks View at La Hacienda But that’s jut the outside view (which is pretty awesome, fireworks or no). Inside the restaurant is nearly as beautiful as the view, with Mexican artwork and punched tin lights. The terraced seating and round booths facing the windows takes full advantage of the views. But what about the food? While pricey, I’ve had some real standouts here. Don’t skip the handcrafted margaritas, which are on par with those you’ll find at La Cava del Tequila across the way. And if they’re serving Crema de Elote, or Creamed Corn Soup, do yourself a favor… Pouring the Crema de Elote …And order two bowls. Le Cellier Steakhouse There is NO WAY I can discuss my favorite Epcot restaurants and not talk about Le Cellier Steakhouse. Le Cellier Steakhouse — Outside View Some feel that Le Cellier is overrated. While I love it, I must admit that I was disappointed when this signature restaurant in the Canada Pavilion started serving its more expensive (and 2 Disney Dining Plan Credit) dinner menu for the midday meal too. But even there, we’ve seen a bright side. What previously had been a nearly impossible advance dining reservation to score is now a lot easier to come by. Le Cellier is aptly named. They have done a great job with themeing, and actually using the windowless space to their advantage. Le Cellier Steakhouse It really lends to the cozy feel of the place. Whether it’s 40 or 90 degrees outside, it still manages to feel like you’re in Canada, and not Florida, in the snug dining room. But even more remarkable is the consistently great food and service I’ve experienced here. Le Cellier’s Filet Mignon I’ve never had a bad meal at Le Cellier. And even weaker menu spots, like desserts, showed improvement during my most recent visit. The one caveat? The dining room really is small. If you’re like me and enjoy your space while dining, ask for a table that’s not a banquette along the walls so you don’t feel like you’re eating at a communal table. Rose and Crown Pub Our last stop in Epcot takes us over to the UK Pavilion, as we drop into Rose and Crown Pub and Restaurant. While Rose and Crown offers good food, I think a big part of what makes it special to me is nostalgia. I’ve been coming to this pub on the UK Pavilion’s High Street since the days that I visited Disney World as a child with my family. And really, nothing has changed. You’ll find the same homey atmosphere and solid comfort food that was the hallmark of the spot then. New York Strip Steak with Loaded Yorkshire Pudding But the nostalgia isn’t just about those visits when I was a kid. When I began visiting Disney on my own as an adult, I came to know the pub as well as the restaurant. After all, having a drink and a bite at the Rose and Crown’s beautiful bar is a Disney rite of passage. And if you have the pleasure of visiting with Carl the Bartender while there — then so much the better! Rose and Crown’s Famous Carl! Now, if they would just bring back that English Bulldog… La Cava del Tequila Ok…so it’s not so much a restaurant as a bar. But — it has tables and chairs. And some food. And about the best drinks that you can get anywhere in the Disney Universe. And this is my list, so I’m totally including it. La Cava del Tequila Seriously — I would be remiss as both an Epcot Lover and a Disney Food Blogger if I didn’t tell you to make room on your itinerary and in your tummy for La Cava del Tequila. Located inside the Mexico Pavilion’s Pyramid, this tiny spot has been practically standing room only since it opened a few years ago. One sip of their artisan margaritas, and you’ll understand why. Avocado Margarita at La Cava del Tequila These aren’t your neighborhood Tex-Mex chain ressie drinks. Featuring premium spirits (no joke — I follow on instagram the guys who choose the alcohol for this place and their feeds are pretty much constantly filled with agave fields they’re visiting to select the best possible stuff), freshly prepared juices, and all kinds of interesting flavor combos, it’s one of the best places I can think of to send you for a quiet and cool break. My drink du jour these days is the Tamarind Margarita — a perfect sweet and tangy balance of flavors. Tamarind Margarita — One of My New Favorites And they do pour ‘em strong here, so do yourself a favor and try a few of their small bites. La Cava Trio Combo I love their Trio Combo for a variety of flavors! The white queso — when it’s on the menu — is to die for. So, there you have it!! These are the places you can’t miss in Epcot! The 2016 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom at Walt Disney World Resort! While there are more than 70 Disney-themed topiaries waiting to be unearthed throughout Epcot, check out seven photos of some of our favorite topiaries, courtesy of Disney PhotoPass Service. It’s hard to fit these beautiful topiaries into a selfie! Disney PhotoPass Photographers are stationed in front of a number of topiaries, so be sure to ask them for a photo so you can get everything and everyone in the shot! You can view your Disney PhotoPass photos in the My Disney Experience mobile app and purchase Memory Maker to receive unlimited digital downloads of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation memories. With the arrival of spring, I’m excited to share that additional designs are coming to the D-Tech on Demand stations found at Disney Parks. You may recall that D-Tech on Demand is the place where guests can create personalized phone cases for select phones. The D-Tech team recently gave me a first look at additional designs being added in the coming weeks. D-Tech on Demand in Star Wars Launch Bay is the place to create Star Wars-themed phone cases. The team recently added some of the most popular designs to additional D-Tech on Demand locations at Disney Parks. You can also add your name to your phone design written in Aurebesh, one of the alphabets used in the Star Wars galaxy. Other designs will include characters from Disney’s animated hit, “Zootopia,” such as Officer Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde or Flash the sloth. A few weeks ago, I shared details about new salt and pepper shakers that resemble Disney trash cans. Several of these same trash can designs will be available as phone cases. I adore the Twenty Eight & Main collection at Disney Parks. I was delighted to see the D-Tech team is adding artwork from this collection including art of my favorite Disney attraction, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Finally, they will introduce four designs inspired by ABC Television shows which include the daytime drama “General Hospital,” “black-ish,” “Once Upon a Time,” and “Castle.” At Walt Disney World Resort, D-Tech on Demand is found at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs Marketplace, Tomorrowland Light & Power Company in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park, and Star Wars Launch Bay Cargo at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (the latter location only offers Star Wars-inspired designs). Disney fans, who’s your favorite Disney character? Drawing inspiration from a recent article by Disney Parks Blog author Erin Glover and DisneyBound creator Leslie Kay, we tasked a few of our fellow cast members to take Disney Vault 28 in the Downtown Disney District by storm in search of the perfect look and accessories. As you can see, they got a little crazy but also very creative in showing off their picks with a fashionable twist. I guess it’s true what they say … when the cat’s away, the mice will play! “We had so much fun,” said Audra, “and it was so easy. I kept seeing the purple tank, which I love, and wondered what to wear it with. When I came across the mermaid-fin inspired leggings, I knew that was it! I had to make sure I had something to carry around my gadgets, gizmos and thingamabobs, and the oversized bottle–inspired Betsey Johnson clutch was the perfect way to make a splash.” For Tyler, she mixed and matched, wearing her own jeans and pairing it with an eye-catching yellow tank, red bow headband and of course, red apple clutch. The perfect combination for a Snow White-inspired look. Of course, Elaine was all ears when we asked if she was willing to participate. She found the Minnie Mouse ear headband and quickly scooped up a red tee, with black and white polka dots on the pocket, tossed a light black sweater over top and finished off the look with the recently released retro Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dooney & Bourke satchel. Love the look, girl! But it was Melissa who was a bit more mischievous in her choices. After grabbing a pink and white-striped tee, with a subtle Cheshire Cat stamp on the bottom-left side, she picked up a Goorin Bros. sun hat, scarf and the HARVEYS Alice in Wonderland attraction poster tote. We were all curious how she would pull it all together, but as you can see, it turned out to be the cat’s meow. She surprised us all by adding the scarf around the hat instead. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been on the hunt for a good Cheese Danish. Learn About: Cheshire CafeMagic Kingdom Disney World Restaurants And why is that? Well, because one of my favorite treats — the Biggest Cheese Danish You Ever Did See — may soon be losing its home, and I don’t know what’s going to become of it. You see, it’s located at one place, and one place only… the Writer’s Stop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Trouble is, that location is closing to make way for construction of the new lands coming to the Studios: Toy Story and Star Wars. (While the spot may have a brief respite, we can’t believe it’s long for this “World” in its current state.) While the other signature snack at Writer’s Stop — the Carrot Cake Cookie — is (and hopefully will remain) available at Sweet Spells, I know of no other home for the monster-sized Cheese (not to mention Apple and Cherry) Danish you can find there. So, yeah… I’m on a hunt. And it’s led me to another park entirely: Magic Kingdom. Welcome back to the Cheshire Cafe in Fantasyland. Cheshire Cafe Sign You remember Cheshire Cafe, right? It was a pretty low-key locale until the arrival of Gourmet Cake Cups — a heavenly cupcake-meets-parfait-meets-mountain-of-frosting that — for reasons we’ll never understand — is no longer served here. Cheshire Cafe These days it still serves its old standbys like muffins, Frozen Lemonade Slushes, and… well, whaddya know? A Cheese Danish. Cheese Danish sign at Cheshire Cafe I know — it doesn’t sound all that exciting. But I’m on a mission here, folks. So let’s see how this one stacks up! Cheese Danish Honestly, at first glance it almost resembles a flat cinnamon roll more than a Cheese Danish. Cheese Danish and Cinnamon But it does have its pros: like my beloved Cheese Danish at Writer’s Stop, this one is twisted with cinnamon and sugar between the layers. The pastry is soft and buttery. And it gets a point or two for the generous icing drizzle. Icing and Cheese Filling But the heavy vanilla cream cheese center sinks to the bottom of the snack, and while it’s that same delicious sweet and cheesy mixture, there just isn’t as much as I wish there was. Plus, it’s on the smaller size, making it far less… you know, epic. Cross-Section of the Cheese Danish It’ll do for a quick morning munch at Magic Kingdom, but for the time being, my quest is still very much on. Attention agents! We have an update on Phineas & Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure at Epcot. Instead of using a F.O.N.E., (Field Operative Notification Equipment), guests now have the option to play the game using their own personal smartphone. In case you aren’t familiar with this game, guests of all ages can join Agent P (a.k.a., the secret-agent alter ego of Phineas and Ferb’s pet, Perry the Platypus) to help thwart some of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s most daringly evil plots “around the World” – Showcase that is. How many of you have taken your photos (selfies?) in front of the nephews topiaries at the Epcot entrance? Our horticulture artists and experts worked almost half a year to bring Huey, Dewey and Louie to life in greens and flowers. Here’s a look at how they did it: Donald and his nephews, Mickey and friends – 70 character topiaries across Epcot – are part of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Your tastebuds will spring to life with offerings from more than a dozen Outdoor Kitchens. Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone hits the America Gardens Theater stage this weekend in the Garden Rocks concert series. This weekend is also our Art in the Garden Weekend. “Plein Air” artists capture nature in their creations.
