Since Disneyland is a place where everyone can be a child at heart, we’re throwing it back to the good ole’ days with a NEW nostalgic treat! Maurice’s Treats Even though this drink is inspired by one of our favorite childhood snacks, you don’t need a lunchbox to grab this one! All you have to do is head over to Maurice’s Treats in Fantasy Faire to sip on the latest slush in Disneyland! Maurice’s Treats is swirling up the Peanut Butter and Jelly Slush (!!!) for both kiddos and adults to enjoy. Maurice’s Treats Menu The grape slush is swirled with peanut butter on the sides of the cup and topped with a cinnamon sugar donut (Double the treat? Please and thank you!!). Peanut Butter and Jelly Slush The donut on top tastes just like a regular Disneyland donut (not that we’re complaining) with a few purple sugar crystals that make it even cuter! Cinnamon Sugar Donut The cinnamon sugar is sweet with the soft pastry, making it the perfect dessert to go along with the cold slush! You usually can’t go wrong with a Disney donut! Cinnamon Sugar Donut The slush was sweet, icy, and definitely reminded us of classic grape jelly! The peanut butter on the sides of the cup is super creamy, so it didn’t really blend into the slush — but we still enjoyed our sips when the flavors would mix! Peanut Butter and Jelly Slush While the flavor is yummy and reminds us a lot of when we were youngins, we had to keep mixing it because the different parts of the drink separate pretty quickly! Grape Slush with Peanut Butter Swirl If you love PB&J and are looking for a unique, sweet treat, you can grab the Peanut Butter and Jelly Slush for $7.49 in Disneyland! You can also check out all the new Magic Happens eats and treats to celebrate the new parade HERE! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! You’d think we’d be exhausted by now as we are eating and drinking our way around the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! 2020 Food and Wine Festival But we still can’t get enough! We have to find the best of the fest, after all! In addition to the Festival Marketplace Booths, year round park favorites like Pacific Wharf Distribution Company get in on the action with their own exclusive items! The Pacific Wharf Distribution Company is our go-to spot for a cold beer (on tap!) and to chill while visiting the park! We love this outdoor beer cart that features a nice shaded seating area — just like a beer garden! Pacific Wharf Distribution Company In addition to their usual offerings, they are serving up the Karl Strauss Crazy Eyes Doppelbock, exclusively for the festival. Pacific Wharf Distribution Co. Menu This $11.00 small batch beer is a German-style lager, described as having notes of Toasted Malt, Caramel, Dark Fruit, and Coffee. Karl Strauss Crazy Eyes Doppelbock We couldn’t really detect the dark fruit, but we did find it to have hints of coffee and a bit of caramel. If craft brews are your thing, the Pacific Wharf Distribution Company is definitely worth a stop on your visit! Learn More About The Other Food and Drink Offerings At the 2020 Festival HERE! Sonoma Terrace is getting in on the action this year at the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! 2020 Food and Wine Festival While this lounge normally serves PLENTY of drinks and a few bar snacks, we’re trying out some mainstays and the new selections, which will be served from February 28 until April 21, 2020, to celebrate all things food and wine! Food Sonoma Terrace Menu Sonoma Terrace will be serving up their regular menu items, the Italian Meatball Sandwich and Bavarian Pretzel with Cheese Sauce. Let’s try the Bavarian Pretzel first! Priced at $6.99, it’s pretty much your standard pretzel. We (*obviously*) splurged the extra .99 for the cheese cup. If you need to carb up while drinking your way around the fest, it’s a pretty good way to do so! Bavarian Pretzel We also had to try the Italian Meatball Sandwich! Priced at $10.49, the sandwich features Italian Meatballs, Trattoria Chunky Marinara, and Melted Mozzarella on a Freshly Baked Italian Roll. Italian Meatball Sandwich While we think it may not the best thing to eat in the blazing afternoon sun, this was really delicious and pretty huge if you come with an appetite (but be careful not to full up if you’re looking to try some other festival bites). But, we still have room to try the brand new California Cheesesteak! Priced at $11.50, this sandwich is made with Thinly Sliced Beef is topped with Grilled Onions, Bell Peppers, Jalapeños, Avocado Spread and Melted Oaxaca Cheese. California Cheesesteak Note of warning: these are not made-to-order and come pre-packaged from a warmer (just like the meatball sandwich). While it had lots of flavors and the bread was still crispy for us, this could potentially not be the case if it’s sitting in the heater for an extended period of time. Pre-packaged Hot Bag After cheese, cheese, and more cheese, we are looking forward to pairing our wine with something a little sweeter. Perhaps the new Triple Chocolate Brownie! Priced at $7.50, we though this was delicious and we would definitely call it more of a mousse than a brownie. Triple Chocolate Brownie While quite rich, the highlight was the layer of chocolate crunchies on the bottom! Triple Chocolate Brownie Triple cheese and triple chocolate– we can’t complain with the eats here! Drinks Cocktails (Alcoholic) During the festival, Sonoma Terrace is pouring up festival-exclusive items that make us want to take a trip up the Golden Coast! Priced at $15.00, The Sandy Beach features Green Apple Vodka with flavors of Sea Salt Caramel. We have to admit the name and visual appearance alone are a little off-putting. Sadly, it didn’t taste that great either. We’ll leave the sand to the beaches. Sandy Beach The Catalina Island is made with Vodka, Passion Fruit, and flavors of Raspberry Lemonade and Lime. Priced at $13.00, the tangy fruit flavors already has us planning our next beach vacay! This was absolutely delicious, not too sweet and not too sour! Catalina Island They are also serving up their regular drink menu. Priced at $14.00, The Sparkling Greyhound comes straight from a can. While it is obviously prepackaged, it is a light and refreshing beverage with emphasis on the grapefruit flavor. Sparkling Greyhound We saved our favorite for last — the Pineapple Passion! Priced at $14.00, this was soooo refreshing and the perfect fuel for us as we ran around under the warm SoCal sun. The White Rum paired nicely with the flavors of Pineapple and Passion Fruit Juice. Pineapple Passion Wine, Beer and Ciders If wine is more your style, Sonoma Terrace has some tasty (and beautiful) drinks to pair with all that cheese! Grab the Firestone Walker Rosalie Beer Rosé (whaaaat?), Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s Sofia, Brut Rosé from Monterey County, or Chandon Brut, Sparkling Wine from California. Or if you need something a little more hearty to go with your pretzel, they will also serve a selection of Craft Beers and Ciders! We came back to Sonoma Terrace for the pretzel and cheese but we stayed for the Pineapple Passion! We always love to see park restaurants join in on the festivals and we think Sonoma Terrace’s festival selections might even deserve a booth of their own! Whether you’re staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn or you’re just visiting Disney World, Disney’s BoardWalk can be a fantastic spot to stroll and snack! Disney’s BoardWalk Inn And, we’re taking you with us to try a classic dish while we admire the BoardWalk’s view! BoardWalk Bakery is home to seasonal eats and treats that switch out during different times of the year (like the Chocolate Covered Cherry Cupcake and Valentine’s Macaron we tried recently!). But, there are a few menu items that are usually served up to guests all year long. It’s no secret that we our cheese (often a-la-plastíc), so we’re taking a bite of the Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup available at BoardWalk Bakery for lunch and dinner! BoardWalk Bakery Since cheese has basically become one of our main food groups, we couldn’t wait to try BoardWalk Bakery’s version of a grilled cheese! And, it did NOT disappoint, friends! The bread had a nice crunch compared to all the melty cheese (YUM). There was so much buttery flavor throughout the sandwich that we almost wanted to go back for seconds!! Boardwalk Bakery Grilled Cheese We love dipping (okay, dunking) our Grilled Cheese in the Tomato Soup and the classic flavor combo delivered! The tomato soup had a more tangy, fresh tomato flavor versus a creamier bisque. But, if you are all for a kick of flavor, then you’ll probably love the Tomato Soup at the BoardWalk too! Boardwalk Bakery Tomato Soup While the BoardWalk has plenty of table-service restaurants to dine in, there aren’t too many hot counter-service options at the resort. So if you’re looking for a quick snack or bite without having to venture into Epcot, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup is a great choice for $9.99. Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup While you’re already at the BoardWalk Bakery, you can also treat yo’self with one of the awesome desserts in the bakery case! The 2020 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival has officially begun, and we’re trying ALL the new eats and treats! Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta This year the festival is going all-out with new items at additional dining locations throughout Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney on top of the booths! And, Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta in Paradise Gardens Park is joining in on the foodie fun for the FIRST TIME at the Food and Wine Festival with a dessert you don’t want to miss! The new Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake at at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta looks like heaven (and basically tastes the same)! Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake If you’re a fan of chocolate cheesecake, this might be your go-to dessert at the Food and Wine Festival! The cheesecake is rich and creamy, so every bite melts in your mouth (swoon). The chocolate and hazelnut combo is very sweet, but the flavor isn’t too overwhelming. Chocolate Cheesecake Goodness! Plus, that crust on the bottom is buttery and crazy good! We only wish there had been a bit more to balance all that chocolate cheesecake. Cheesecake Crust The Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake is practically a chocolate lover’s dream for $5.99! You may want to grab a drink to go along with it (there’s just SO much chocolate packed into the dessert)! Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake Looking for MORE chocolate? We are getting our eat and drink ON at the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! 2020 Food and Wine Festival Now through April 21, you can feast to your hearts content at Marketplace Booths AND year round locations around the park offering up their own exclusive treats! The Outdoor Vending Carts around the park are getting festive themselves with exclusive festival offerings. Outdoor Vending Carts Menu We’ve found that when Disneyland does Mexican food, it usually does it very well — so we’re excited to see two new empanadas at this year’s festival. (Do you remember the delicious empanadas from the Festival of the Holidays?) The Savory Empanada is served with a Chipotle Crema Sauce and stuffed with Red Chile, Beef, and Potato. Savory Empanada Ours was served piping hot and fresh, making for a nice and flaky pastry. The filling ingredients worked well together offering a little zest without being too spicy. Savory Empanda Priced at $6.00, the side of chipotle cream complimented the dish and offered a nice kick to the empanada. Savory Empanada The Sweet Empanada is a baked pastry pocket stuffed with warm, sweet apple filling, that is then rolled in cinnamon sugar, and served with a side of Caramel Sauce. Sweet Empanada Wow! This was SO GOOD. Very similar to an apple turnover, this brought us right back to a crisp Fall day. The cinnamon sugar coating was delicious and we would have loved to have even more! Sweet Empanada with Caramel Sauce Top it off with the sweet and gooey caramel sauce and you’ve got a festival fav! This one is also priced at $6.00. Sweet Empanada with Caramel Sauce Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or for something with a little savory kick, you can’t go wrong with either of these empanada options! Looking to rest up and sip on a refreshing beverage while you traverse the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival? Look no further than Pacific Wharf Cafe! Food and Wine Festival Sign The Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart, which is known for its gourmet coffees and teas, is serving up two specialty beverages for the festival! So, of course, we tried them both to give you all the deets! While there are plenty of strong drinks and fruity sips at the festival this year, the Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart is shaking things up with the addition of green tea in both drinks! 2020 Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart Menu The first drink we grabbed was the non-alcoholic option at the booth (so even your kiddos can enjoy it!). The Fruitful Green Tea is a blend of brewed green tea, pineapple and orange juices, and a hint of berry flavor. Fruitful Green Tea Although the pineapple, orange, and berry parts of the drink are pretty sweet, the green tea balances the other ingredients out with a slight bitterness that we LOVE. While the fruit flavors are definitely tasty, we think the tea adds a bit of an earthy tone that really ties this $5 drink together. Fruitful Green Tea The boozy option at the stand is the Tropicalifornia Tea Cocktail, which comes mixed up with berry vodka, brewed green tea, and pineapple and orange juices. Tropicalifornia Tea Cocktail While you can definitely taste the vodka in the Tropicalifornia, we have to say that it tastes pretty similar to the Fruitful Green Tea. The only difference is the addition of booze, which makes the drink $13. Tropicalifornia Tea Cocktail For an extra $8 between the two versions, we recommend grabbing the non-alcoholic Fruitful Green Tea and heading to another spot around the festival to try one of the other great alcoholic drinks! Both drinks are available with the Sip and Savor Pass so you can sip your way around Disney California Adventure! We’re all about the sweet stuff, especially when there are SO many amazing treats at the 2020 Food & Wine Festival in Disney California Adventure! Taste the good life! And, while we’ve been taking you with us LIVE around the park, we’re stopping at one of our favorite spots for some coffee flavored goodness! Schmoozies! is joining the Food & Wine line-up with TWO new treats for the festival this year (yeah, we’re just as excited as you are). Schmoozies First up, the Almond Mocha Shake is mixed up with Almond Mocha Fudge Ice Cream, Whipped Topping, Almond Pieces, and topped with English Toffee for $7.99. Almond Mocha Shake The smooth shake has a hint of the sweet almond flavor, a focus on the mocha, and it’s absolutely delicious. We love the English Toffee that serves as an edible garnish. Almond Mocha Shake If you’re looking for a little pick me up to counter an impeding sugar crash, try the Almond Mocha Affogato. Priced at $5.99, this seasonal affogato features a scoop of Mocha Almond Fudge Ice Cream with a shot of espresso poured-over! Almond Mocha Affogato SO MUCH FLAVOR! The espresso does overpower the ice cream but it still works well as it all blends together in perfect harmony. We’ll be coming back again and again throughout the festival for this one! Almond Mocha Affogato We’ve got another win at Schmoozies! This is always a favorite spot as they are consistently serving up delicious limited time goodies! Sooo basically these treats can count for breakfast with all that coffee, right?? Check out the rest of the Food & Wine eats, treats, and drinks offered at the food booths here! Our time on Disney Cruises is all about chilling out, spending time with family and friends, and having some GREAT food! Castaway Cay Even when we’re on vacay, we’re scouting new snack hacks to share with all of you! While we’ve already showed you the Mickey Ear Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich and the Cheesy Chocolate Caramel Popcorn, we’re taking it back to the basics with this Disney Cruise Line treat! Castaway Cay is a haven of stunning views, activities for all ages, and one of the best buffets EVER — Cookie’s Too BBQ! Cookie’s Too BBQ Cookie’s Too is the sister location to Cookie’s on the opposite side of the island where guests can snack on burgers, hot dogs, spicy chicken sandwiches (!!!), and more. Although we looove getting our lunch on at Cookie’s Too, this time around we’re taking you with us to make a little slice of paradise with the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich hack! Cookie’s Too BBQ Step 1: Grab Your Cookies Since Cookie’s Two is a buffet, you can mix and match what’s on your plate. Buuut, for this snack hack’s sake, we picked up two chocolate chip cookies (and some extra if you’re just really digging that chocolatey goodness) for the base of your sammie! Double the Chocolate Chip Cookies Step 2: Ice Cream Time! Then head over to the ice cream machines just outside the buffet to pick your filling! While you can get vanilla and chocolate ice cream separately, we recommend adding a lil twist to your Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich with a swirl of both flavors. Cookie’s Too BBQ Ice Cream Machine Step 3: Assemble Now, it’s time to build your sandwich! After you’ve topped one of the cookies with ice cream, all you have to do is stack the other one on top… One of Our Favorite Combos … and TA-DA! You’ve got yourself an AH-MAZING treat that’s perfect to snack on in the sunshine! The ice cream melts into the soft cookies, so the creamy vanilla and chocolatey flavors combine together wonderfully. Yeah, we can’t help but have some major heart eyes for an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich this good!! Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich Additional Step: RELAX! Once you’ve made your Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, you can pick a spot on Castaway Cay to kick back, relax, and SNACK! A beautiful view and a tasty treat sounds like the perfect day to us on the island! Castaway Cay We only wish we could have an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from Cookie’s Too every day… Considering going on a Disney Cruise? There are many hidden jewels scattered throughout Disney World like hidden mickeys and secret menu items! Old Key West Resort We wish everyone could stay long enough to discover them all, but that’s why you’ve got us! We wanted to tell you a little about one of these sweet gems we found recently (on accident!)! Disney’s Old Key West Resort might be a little off the beaten path, but it’s well worth a visit if your passing by — especially if you’re feeling a little thirsty for some nostalgia! On the menu at Old Key West’s bar, Gurgling Suitcase, you’ll notice there’s a drink called Olivia’s Strawberry Lemonade — one of the resort’s signature cocktails! Gurgling Suitcase Drink Menu We’ve seen the drink here from time to time, but never knew the full story behind it — until today! Made from Patrón silver tequila, key lime juice, and strawberry lemonade, then garnished with a sugared rim, the drink looks as pretty as a picture on a postcard — and tastes equally delicious! Greetings from Disney’s Old Key West Resort! We ordered the drink today and our bartender told us the cocktail was created during a special contest for Old Key West’s 25th anniversary a few years back. Cast Members made various mixed drinks and the winner’s drink landed a spot on the menu! That winner just so happened to be the Olivia’s Strawberry Lemonade, but it went by a different name back then — it used to be called the Silver Anniversary! It was so popular, in fact, they decided to keep it on the menu, and thus the Olivia’s Strawberry Lemonade became a part of Old Key West Resort’s legacy! Olivia’s Strawberry Lemonade You wanna know who taught us all of this history? His name is Roberto and he’s actually the man who created it! We were so thrilled to get to hear this tale right from Olivia’s Strawberry Lemonade’s inventor himself! It’s Roberto! We love special stories and moments like these and always look forward to sharing them with you, our readers! We hope you’ll get to hop over to Old Key West Resort someday– and if you do, don’t miss out on Oliva’s Strawberry Lemonade for $15! Who knows, maybe you’ll even be lucky enough to have Roberto make it for you! Check out this ADORABLE cocktail we spotted in Disney Springs HERE! We all know a trip to Disney World is costly! Even with the biggest of discounts and savings, you’re still shelling out some serious cash to take a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Think Happy Magic Kingdom Thoughts! We can all list the “known costs” that go into a Disney World trip: park admission, hotels, food…but what about those HIDDEN costs? The ones no one tells you about but THEY TOTALLY SHOULD! We have EIGHT Disney World expenses that no one told us about! Parking Fees at the Resorts If you plan on driving to Disney World or you rent a car at the airport, be prepared to pay for some hefty parking fees! Parking overnight at your Disney World resort costs $15 per night at a Value Resort, $20 per night at a Moderate resort, and $25 per night at a Deluxe resort! If you’re staying at your resort for a week, that could easily top an extra $100 you need to budget for your trip. Old Key West Parking Note that if you are a registered guest at a Disney World resort hotel, your theme park parking is included. Tipping on the Disney Dining Plan One of the benefits of purchasing the Disney Dining Plan is that you “pre-pay” for all of your meals when you visit Disney World. However, one major line item that is NOT included in the Dining Plan is tips! This will be an out-of-pocket expense you will have to budget for every time you dine at a Table Service restaurant. Le Cellier Steakhouse This expense can be pretty significant if there are more people in your party and you’re on the Deluxe Dining Plan. With table service restaurant tabs easily climbing into the hundreds of dollars range, those tips can get pricey as well! Read up on everything you need to know about the Disney Dining Plan here! Other Tips & Gratuities Speaking of tips, you will need extra cash on hand when dealing with things such as luggage handlers, housekeeping, valet, or certain transportation options. It is customary in the United States to tip in these situations. Take a Minnie Van to your destination at Disney World! In general, here are some guidelines when tipping: Luggage handlers: $2-3 per bag Housekeeping: $1 per person per night Valet: $2-5 Transportation (such as Minnie Vans, taxis, Uber, etc.): 15-20% per trip These tips are by no means expected or required but are certainly appreciated by the folks on the receiving end. Interested in utilizing the Minnie Van service next time you’re in Disney World? Read all about them here! Memory Maker Memory Maker can be a really convenient option for some parties that want to invest in photos taken during their trip. It’s not the cheapest add-on, but you could save a good amount of money if you really take advantage of it and you want a ton of PhotoPass pictures. Capture magical vacation memories! ©Disney What you might NOT know, however, is that Memory Maker costs MORE if you don’t buy ahead of time! Prior to your trip, Memory Maker costs $169. If you purchase Memory Maker AFTER you arrive, however, the price goes up to $199! Keep in mind, you may not think you’ll want all those pics before your trip, but once you see all the cute photos of you and your kids in the parks, you might change your mind after! Peak Season & Flexible Date Admission Back in the day, your park admission to Disney World was the same price, regardless of where and when you visited. Things have changed in recent years and Disney has adopted more of a demand-based, tiered pricing structure when it comes to their park tickets. Price Ranges of a One-Day Standard Theme Park Ticket for December 2020 Now, as of this writing, a one-day standard theme park ticket could range anywhere from $109-$159, depending on if you visit on a “Value“, “Regular“, or “Peak” day. Of course, the price can fluctuate even more if you add on a Park Hopper, a multi-day ticket, or a ‘Flexible Date‘ ticket, which allows you to choose the date you want to start your tickets later. There are a LOT of variables that go into determining the price of your park admission so be sure to read the fine print when purchasing! Looking to SAVE on Park Admission? Consider the 4-Park Magic Ticket! Upgraded Room Views and Locations Have you considered wanting a pool view at your resort? Do you want to be closer to a bus stop or the main building where you can eat breakfast in the morning? That will all cost extra! 2 Bedroom Villa View from Riviera Resort Upgrading your resort hotel room to a preferred room, whether that includes a water view (or a savanna room at Animal Kingdom Lodge), a king-sized bed, or a preferred location, will all be an additional cost when you make your hotel reservation. Looking for the ULTIMATE room upgrade? Check out the most ridiculously awesome Disney resort rooms! Day Rentals If you travel with little ones or you have extra belongings in tow, you may realize that you need the extra storage and assistance to get your party around the parks with ease. Disney offers both stroller rentals as well as locker rentals in each of the four parks. Current Disney World Strollers Be aware that this could add up quickly if you need strollers and lockers daily. Here are the current rental rates for strollers: Single Strollers Day rate: $15 Multi-day (Length of Stay): $13 Double Strollers Day rate: $31 Multi-day (Length of Stay): $27 If you choose Length of Stay, you can pre-pay the total cost of the stroller rental for less per day and save. The Disney theme parks all have rental lockers. For lockers, Disney charges a flat fee of $10 per day for a small locker, $12 per day for a large locker, and $15 per day for a jumbo locker (available only at Magic Kingdom and Epcot). Cancellation and No-Show Fees The final surprise expense you don’t want to encounter on your Disney World trip is one that can be completely avoided if you stay on top of your reservations! We know that there’s a lot to keep track of between dining reservations, rides, characters, and shows, but if you accidentally miss a reservation or choose to change your plans without informing Disney, it could cost you! Check In for Be Our Guest Restaurant The typical no-show or cancellation fee for Disney dining is $10 per person. So if you travel with a larger party, that could be a costly fee! You can easily cancel your reservations online or by calling (407) 824-1391 without any fee if it is done before the restaurant’s designated cancellation period. Each restaurant has their own policy so be sure to double-check before you make your reservation. Check-in podium Other experiences carry cancellation and no-show fees to be aware of. The popular Savi’s Workshop experience in Galaxy’s Edge has a hefty $199 per builder fee if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your reservation or are a no-show. Select your Kyber Crystal Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge, though not quite like other dining locations in Disney World, also charges $10 per person for last-minute canceled reservations (within 24 hours) and no-shows. Yesterday it was announced that Disney would be introducing a NEW Dining Plan option for guests to book: Disney Dining Plan Plus! One big cup of plastic cheese! With the arrival of a new Dining Plan option comes a lot of questions about the value this plan will provide and exactly what it involves. We compiled some of the most popular questions you’ve asked and have all the answers right here! What is Disney Dining Plan Plus? Disney Dining Plan Plus is the new fourth option on the Disney Dining Plan. It was released earlier this week and is available NOW for booking and for use! Firecracker Shrimp Here is what comes included in your Disney Dining Plan Plus package: 2 Meals Per Night of Stay – Any combination of Table-Service and Quick-Service Meals 2 Snacks or Nonalcoholic Beverages Per Night of Stay 1 Resort Refillable Mug Read about upgrading your Resort Refillable Mug here! Disney Dining Plan Plus costs $94.61 per night for guests ages 10 and up and $35.01 per night for guests age 3 to 9. Keep in mind, as with other Dining Plans, that gratuities are not included in the price of the Dining Plan. Read all about Disney Dining Plan Plus here! What is the main difference between the Disney Dining Plan Plus and the Regular Dining Plan? Disney Dining Plan Plus is unique in that it provides flexibility when you choose how to use your dining credits. Rather than being allotted one Quick Service credit and one Table Service credit per day on the Regular Dining Plan, you now have two meals to use in whatever way you see fit per day — meaning you can choose to use them at Quick Service spots OR Table Service spots. The choice is yours, much like the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan. Primo Piatto Tuna Nicoise Salad Is the flexibility worth the added cost? As with the other Disney Dining Plan options, some number crunching is involved if you want to see the value behind Disney Dining Plan Plus. This answer could be different for everyone! If you use your credits as mostly Quick Service, you likely may not get much value monetarily, but the flexibility may still be worth it to your family. Alternatively, if you book mostly Table Service meals, this could be a great value for folks not wanting to commit to three meals per day on the Deluxe plan but still wanting to enjoy more Table Service meals. What’s the best way to maximize this plan and get the most bang for my buck? Each individual is going to define what ‘value’ means differently, however, if you want to score the ultimate financial value on Disney Dining Plan Plus, you should aim to eat at as many Table Service and Character Meals as possible on your trip. Tigger at Crystal Palace Since the Plus package costs $94.61 per night for guests ages 10 and up, you will need to eat the equivalent amount of food to ‘break-even’, so to speak. We think the best way to get your bang for your buck is by choosing to use your credits at Table Service restaurants. Here, you can order pricier meals and make the most out of the money you’ve already spent. How much flexibility do I REALLY have if I still need to make Advance Dining Reservations? Advance Dining Reservations, or ADRs, are STRONGLY encouraged if you want to grab a table at some of Disney’s most well-known and beloved restaurants. Be Our Guest Restaurants likes Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and California Grill fill up rather quickly, so you want to be ready 180 days out from your arrival date if you want to dine at those restaurants. But, that doesn’t really sound flexible if you still have to decide where you want to eat and book six months out! Brunch at California Grill The flexibility of Disney Dining Plan Plus, much like the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan then, has more to do with the fact that you can choose to eat wherever you want throughout your trip. You aren’t confined to a set number of Quick Service meals or a set number of Table Service meals. If you want to book and eat at 2 Table Service restaurants every day on your trip, you can do that! You aren’t obligated to find ways of fitting a Quick Service meal in every day, for example, or vice versa! I already booked my Disney Dining Plan but I want to switch or upgrade to the new Plus option! Is that allowed? Yes! You are able to switch plans and will be charged the difference between your old and new plan (or be reimbursed if you were on the Deluxe plan) by calling Disney Dining at 407-939-3463. Prices may vary depending on the plan you are switching from (for example, the upgrade from the Standard version of the plan to the Plus option is $15.60 more per adult and $4.22 more per child age 3-9). Note that your ability to upgrade may depend on your particular situation. If you booked with a discount or free dining or a unique package, be sure to call to see if you can change your plan. We spoke to a Guest Services rep who said it’s ok to upgrade if you’ve purchased a different plan, but it could depend on who you’re speaking with or your situation. Does this mean it will be harder to get a Table Service ADR? That is hard to tell at this point in time. The flexibility of Disney Dining Plan Plus does allow for guests to dine more frequently at Table Service restaurants throughout their stay if they choose to do so. This opens up the possibility of Table Service restaurants booking faster. As always, we recommend being ready to book your ADRs at exactly 180 days from your arrival date, and be ready to book your top priorities first! Garden Grill Skillet Does Plus include an appetizer like Deluxe does? In short, it does not appear so.
