There’s a LOT coming to Disney World this summer, but something we’re really looking forward to experiencing in Disney Springs is none other than LEVEL99. LEVEL99 Level99 in Disney Springs will feature 63 life-sized physical and mental games and challenges that create “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment” for adults. There are currently multiple locations all around the United States, but this one will be the largest to date. We were so thrilled to be invited to the location in Tysons, Virginia (right around the D.C. area!) to check out what will soon be available in Orlando, and while we had a complete blast, there was one thing that surprised us specifically that you NEED to know about! After experiencing LEVEL99 for ourselves, the best way we can describe it is that you’ve stepped into a sprawling playground for adults and teens, but instead of just playing games, you’re jumping INTO the game to be part of it! We purposely kept ourselves out of the loop before our visit and didn’t look up any part of what to expect, because we wanted to be surprised, and so we went into it thinking it would be an interactive floor room, or a walkthrough with different games as you went through, but it was SO much better! LEVEL99 games! We were really surprised, in the best way, by the variety of the games available and how many fun themes the rooms had! Some of the games are more physical (and some of them are NO JOKE, you’ve really gotta be ready to lock in), while others were more mental challenges, and were just as difficult (in the best way, of course). When we failed in a room, we found ourselves wanting to try over and over again to do better, but never in a frustrated way. It was so much fun to get to run, jump, swing around, and overall play in ways you don’t normally get to once you grow up. They were so unique! Additionally, we loved that your progress is tracked in your LEVEL99 account, so no matter what location you visit, you can log in and continue your progress. Yes, even if it’s been months since you last visited, it’ll still keep track of your progress, which we think is fantastic. Keep track of your score! We were also really impressed with the restaurant inside! This wasn’t “meh” food that will just tie you over and provide sustenance while you run and play — no, it was really delicious. It was all full-on restaurant-style food and genuinely impressed us. There was a variety of options, ranging from Bavarian Style Pretzels and Detroit Style Pizza, all the way to Birria Street Tacos and House Wagyu Burgers. There were also lots of drinks to pick from, with cocktails being the most popular drink option (that wasn’t a surprise to us, considering a lot of it is house-made!). Detroit Style Pizza Overall, we think Disney Springs is a fantastic location for this experience, and it’s needed something like this for a while. Soon, you’ll have a spot that adults and teens can go to have tons of fun together while also being genuinely challenged, and also being able to enjoy a solid restaurant without having to walk out the front door. Some of the challenges are best completed with a group, while others are great for 2-3 players. Groups between 2-6 players are ideal here, so it’s perfect for a date night or outing with friends! This place is SO fun! While there’s no official opening date for this spot in Disney Springs, we know it’s arriving this summer, and we couldn’t be more stoked. We’d like to say a huge thank you to LEVEL99 for inviting us to experience this incredible spot, and you can bet we’ll be some of the first in line when it opens in Orlando. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB, because we’ll keep you updated on this spot’s opening and all other Disney World news! Dry airplane air can absolutely wreck your throat before your vacation even starts. HOMDIS Mini Humidifier Add in long park days, Florida heat, hotel air conditioning, and very little downtime, and suddenly you’re waking up feeling like you swallowed sandpaper. That’s exactly why more travelers are looking for small comfort items that make hotel stays a little easier. Some gadgets feel unnecessary after one trip, but others quietly become permanent carry-on essentials. After testing the HOMDIS Mini Humidifier during a Disney trip, I finally understand why people keep recommending these tiny portable humidifiers online. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Your Hotel Room Air Is Probably Working Against You Hotel rooms can feel brutal after a full day in the parks. Between blasting AC and dry indoor air, my throat usually feels awful by the second night of vacation. Flying doesn’t help either since airplane cabins are notoriously dehydrating. That’s where the HOMDIS Mini Humidifier came in handy. HOMDIS Mini Humidifier Instead of hauling around a bulky humidifier, this tiny device screws directly onto a regular plastic water bottle and instantly creates a cool mist. It’s incredibly lightweight at just over seven ounces, so tossing it into a backpack or carry-on was easy. I even refilled my bottle with sink water in the parks and used it again later that night. HOMDIS Mini Humidifier The best part is how convenient it feels. There are three attachment sizes, so it fits different water bottles, and standard Dasani bottles worked perfectly for me. It also comes with a carrying bag, which made packing way less annoying. This Tiny Gadget Actually Made Sleeping Easier Some travel gadgets sound nice in theory, but become irritating once you’re actually trying to sleep. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case here. The HOMDIS humidifier runs quietly enough that I barely noticed it overnight. How it attaches It also has optional rotating LED colors that can double as a small night light, though you can easily turn the lights off if you prefer a dark room. I ended up liking the light feature more than I expected because it added a little cozy atmosphere to the room after a long park day. HOMDIS Mini Humidifier I also appreciated the different mist settings. If you don’t want continuous mist all night, you can switch it to intermittent mode so it lasts longer between charges. The built-in rechargeable battery is convenient too, since you can use it wirelessly without hunting for an outlet immediately. The One Thing I’d Do Differently Next Time No product is perfect, and there was one thing I noticed during testing. While the battery lasted a solid amount of time, mine didn’t quite make it through the entire night unplugged when running continuously. It was also a little difficult to tell when it had fully charged. HOMDIS Mini Humidifier Honestly, though, the fix was simple. I just plugged it into the charger on my nightstand before bed, and it worked great after that. Since it connects to standard USB power sources like laptops, wall adapters, portable chargers, or even car ports, charging it while traveling wasn’t difficult at all. I also liked the safety features. It automatically shuts off when empty, and it’s designed to stay leakproof even if it tips over in your bag or on the nightstand. That gave me way more confidence using it in a hotel room. view ON AMAZON This Tiny Gadget Actually Made Sleeping Easier HOMDIS Mini Humidifier Here’s the thing: you probably don’t need a travel humidifier for your Disney trip. It’s not going to magically transform your vacation. But if dry hotel air bothers you, if flights leave your throat feeling awful, or if you already use a humidifier at home, this little gadget genuinely helps. The HOMDIS Mini Humidifier ended up being one of those surprisingly useful travel items that earns a permanent spot in your bag because it makes small discomforts easier to deal with. It’s portable, easy to use, and doesn’t take up much room at all. For me, that convenience alone made it worth bringing. I’d absolutely buy it again with my own money, and it definitely felt like an upgrade compared to older travel humidifiers I’ve used in the past. Some changes have been made at EPCOT’s most popular attraction, and it’s made the experience a lot less…chaotic! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of, if not THE most popular attraction at EPCOT. If you’ve ever ridden it, you’ve gotten to experience the thrills of the roller coaster and the amazing immersiveness of the queue line. However, you’ve probably also run into an issue that happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. We love everything about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind…except one thing. After you go into the teleportation room and get teleported up to the Xandarian ship, everyone runs over to the three doors on the right. Those doors lead to the last little bit of the queue line of the ride. Pre-show of Cosmic Rewind All of the doors used to open at the same time, which created a crowd rush issue when creating the next line. Disney fixed this by not opening the middle door of the three doors anymore, but there have still been issues of just people trying to get through as fast as possible. Well, now that issue has been tackled by Cast Members! Cosmic Rewind queue line Now, both the right and left doors open at the same time, but then they hold one side and let those guests cross up the ramp. After they’ve moved through, they let the other group through. Lining up for Cosmic Rewind There are two or three Cast Members in that room waiting to guide guests now. The middle door is closed with a rope up, but that’s been the case for a while now. It’s the number of Cast Members and the passing through doors one at a time that’s new. Cast Members in the queue We’re hoping this change helps with the crowd flow and control a lot better than it’s been in the past with this ride. We think it’s a good change, and one that will work. EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival is happening right now and will continue through June 1st. There are SO many delicious eats to grab that are unique to the festival, but we feel one of them is REALLY underrated. DOLE Whip Peach Over at Swirled Showcase, you’ll find multiple sweet treats to help you beat the heat on a hot day. They’re all quite solid and great choices, but there’s one Dole Whip flavor that has FINALLY made its way to Disney World, and yet, we feel like NO ONE is talking about it. Peach Dole Whip is finally in Disney World after YEARS of only being in Disneyland, and we need everyone to get VERY excited about it! Peach Dole Whip has been a staple in Disneyland for a few years now, sometimes available constantly, while other times returning only for a limited time. Currently, you can find it at The Tropical Hideaway, and for years now, we’ve been waiting for it to make its way to Disney World, and that day is finally here! Peach Dole Whip at Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland Right now, you can snag it at Swirled Showcase for the Flower & Garden Festival, but you’ve only got a few more weeks to do so! After the festival ends, it’s unclear if it’ll return again for another festival, or at any other location around the parks, so we suggest snagging it while you can! Peach Dole Whip at Swirled Showcase This has a great natural flavor to it — there’s no artificial flavoring to be found, which we really love! It’s refreshing and mildly sweet without being too much, and we could order it time and time again without getting tired of it. We can’t recommend it enough! If you’re headed to Disney World, sometimes dining at Disney World can get busy – reservations could be gone right when they open at 6 AM! Or if you have a big group, then things can get pricey fast. Cozze E Vongole As a former Disney Cast Member, I know that navigating dining off property can be just as overwhelming. There are so many great options! Our team of former CMs compiled the five best restaurants within five miles of Disney World that are just as good as Disney restaurants. These Cast Member-approved spots have food just as great as Disney, and sometimes, we even prefer them! @ The Diner @ The Diner is a family-owned and operated Orlando chain, with the closest location only three miles away from Disney Springs. They serve both breakfast and lunch, but their breakfast is the real Cast Member-approved favorite. Boston Cream Pancakes © @ The Diner Their breakfast options have gone viral for Instagram-worthy entrees at an affordable price point. For only $10-15, you can get the prettiest and tastiest pancakes of your life with flavors including Boston Cream, White Chocolate Macadamia, Fruity Pebbles, and Dubai Chocolate! Four Flamingos Four Flamingos, A Richard Blais Florida Kitchen, is a Florida-inspired surf and turf restaurant inside the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort, only three miles away from Disney Springs. Four Flamingos Their entrees are in the $50-70 range, but they’re so worth the price tag! We love all of the entrees we’ve tried from there, but the desserts are the real stars of the show. Grab their Baked Florida, a Baked Alaska with a Floridian twist – it’s frozen key lime pie, raspberry gelée, and flambéed meringue that’s lit on fire! Our full review of Four Flamingos! Simply Capri Simply Capri is an Italian restaurant in the Flamingo Crossings shopping center, only 10 minutes from Animal Kingdom. Lots of Disney Cast Members live in the area and frequent their happy hour! Simply Capri They serve high-quality Italian dishes within the $20-50 price range, and we love their Cozze E Vongole, Ossobucco Di Vetello, and Delizia Al Limone. If you’re 21 and older, their Happy Hour from 10 PM to midnight is a great deal; get $7 wine, beer, and cocktails and $12 pizza & pasta. Our full review of Simply Capri! Skyline Chili Skyline Chili is an uber-popular chain from Southern Ohio, and the Flamingo Crossings location, only 5 miles away from Animal Kingdom, is owned by retirees from Cincinnati. ©Skyline Chili It’s a fast-casual restaurant known for its chili dogs and chili spaghetti. If you’ve never had it before, it might look intimidating – but we promise it’s worth a try! Publix Publix is a popular grocery store chain in Florida. While their main product line is groceries, Publix is a Florida staple for its deli offerings, with quick, customizable subs with a similar setup to Subway. ©Publix While Publix has dozens of different sub varieties, the chicken Tender Sub is the most popular – it’s diced chicken tenders with lettuce, tomato, and provolone cheese. Still, the subs are all fully customizable to your liking. Unless you’d opt for double meat, it’s included! ©Publix We frequent these Orlando spots when Disney World is crowded, or if we don’t have a park ticket. When it comes to rides, a case can be made that Hollywood Studios might currently be the most popular park at Walt Disney World, thanks to a mixture of classic E-Tickets, modern marvels, and IP-based extravaganzas, with more on the way in the coming years. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway However, not every ride at the park is created equal, and if you find yourself strapped for time at Hollywood Studios, there are certain rides you can skip and others you can ride instead. Skip Rise of the Resistance, Ride Star Tours Okay, this one might cause a great disturbance in the Force, but hear us out. Rise of the Resistance is a modern masterpiece of Imagineering, a multiple-part experience featuring live actors, animtronics, several ride systems, and trackless vehicles. However, thanks to all those elements, the ride sees long wait times when operational and significant downtime, especially compared to other major attractions. Rise of the Resistance If you find yourself at Hollywood Studios with limited time or on a day when Rise of the Resistance is struggling to stay afloat, you can instead venture over and experience Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. This revamped version of the classic attraction features a cavalcade of classic Star Wars characters in a randomized experience. Plus, since the simulator attraction often has an average wait of around 1/10th as long as Rise of the Resistance on a typical day. Star Tours Skip Toy Story Midway Mania, Ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway When Toy Story Mania! opened at Hollywood Studios back in 2008, the ride was a technological marvel. Its mix of 3D graphics and interactive canon games featuring Toy Story characters made it an immediate hit, and the promise of interchangeable games that could be swapped out for new ones seemed to signify that it would feel “new” for years to come. However, nearly two decades later, things are a bit different. The ride can feel a bit tired, especially since no new games have been swapped in since Toy Story 3’s release in 2010. Toy Story Mania! If you skip Toy Story Mania!, you can dedicate that queue time to waiting for Micky & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. While fans of the classic Great Movie Ride may still lament its replacement, this trackless dark ride based on the modern Mickey shorts has remained a modern favorite since it opened back in 2020. Runaway Railway factory scene Skip Slinky Dog Dash, Ride Muppet Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Okay, we promise we’re not here to pick on Toy Story Land, but let’s talk about Slinky Dog Dash. This family coaster definitely has more of a kick to it than a “kiddie” coaster does — and it’s definitely fun — but serious thrillseekers likely will find its usual hour+ wait a bit too long for the payoff. Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios Instead, they should head down Sunset Boulevard, where, beginning May 26th, there will be a much more thrilling coaster that still features beloved characters. Namely, the Muppet Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. This refurbished take on the classic features will feature a brand new Muppet pre-show, new songs “recorded by” the Electric Mayhem, and a new colorful exterior, all while keeping the 60 MPH launch and inversions that have made the coaster a favorite of thrillseekers since it originally opened back in 1999. Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets Next time you find yourself needing to make some hard choices at Hollywood Studios, keep in mind which rides you may want to skip and which you’ll want to hop on instead. We’re a little over a week away from May 26th, the official opening date of Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Yes, we’re freaking out! ©Disney As we get closer and closer to the ride’s opening, Disney has been dropping TONS of massive announcements and first looks to get us ready. If you missed any announcements, you’ve come to the right place, because we’re recapping everything that Disney has shared about the new attraction! The NEW Preshow Disney shared a FIRST LOOK at the new preshow for the ride. It begins with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem practicing their hit song “Can You Picture That?” in the recording studio. Stage manager Scooter then welcomes us, the VIP tour group, before telling Kermit that “The mayhem will be there,” referring to their big concert later that day. A little more chaos unfolds before you’re on your way. We can’t wait to see this in person! ©Disney More NEW Characters We knew characters like Scooter, the penguins, Animal, and others were going to be a part of the ride. However, we were pleasantly surprised when Disney confirmed that Statler and Waldorf have a new home inside the new version of the attraction! ©Disney Disney shared on social media a video preview of them seated inside a van, making their classic jokes. In fact, after Waldorf asks if they have time to go to the bathroom before the next song, Statler replies that they’re bolted to the seats — a joke that was made during Muppet*Vision 3D. It’s cool to see the nod to the old iconic Muppets attraction. ©Disney NEW Snack Booth Oh, we were thrilled about the announcement of a new snack booth featuring Muppets-themed dishes! The new snack stand is calledFØØD by Swedish Chef, and along with the announcement that it will be coming with the opening of the ride, Disney also shared the FULL MENU! ©Disney NEW Merchandise Every big attraction has its merchandise, and Disney shared a FIRST LOOK at the brand-new merchandise collection coming for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets. The collection is filled with a lineup of apparel, accessories, and souvenirs. You’ll be able to grab the items at the Rock Around the Shop, which is the store you walk through after the ride. ©Disney NEW Ride Photos Disney also dropped a first look at the new ride photos from the attraction. Disney said, “Check out your concert-inspired versions of the attraction photo from Disney PhotoPass Service that puts you center stage with The Electric Mayhem!” It looks like you can choose one of a few designs. If you have Memory Maker or an Annual Pass with photo downloads, it also seems like you can download multiple designs. ©Disney NEW Animatronics Although it’s not a new announcement, Disney gave us a look at the new animatronics that the ride will have. In fact, it will be the first animatronics Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster has ever had. Soon we’ll see the first‑ever Audio‑Animatronics figure of Scooter, which was created using motion-capture of the actual Scooter the Muppet. ©Disney Scooter is appearing at the ride alongside his team of audio engineers, who are all penguins! They’ll be in the booth adjusting the dials to make sure the band sounds incredible. ©Disney We’re beyond excited to ride this attraction on May 26th, and the day after, and the day after that, and for the rest of time! We’ve got an interesting development about Disneyland to share, especially if you’re invested in the adjustments happening to Autopia. Autopia in Disneyland Autopia is an opening day Disneyland attraction, so it’s been making guests happy since 1955. Back in April 2024, Disney announced that changes would be coming to the engines on the cars in the attraction, and while that plan in still in motion, it’s recently been revealed that a change to the engines made prior to 2024 violated rules set by the California Air Resources Board, and now, Disney has paid a hefty fine voluntarily. The Orange County Register has reported that back in August 2024, Disney paid the California Air Resources Board a $56,250 settlement to resolve violations regarding the Autopia cars without admitting liability. The settlement came after Disney disclosed that the Honda engines on Autopia ride vehicles were operating without certified emission controls in September 2023. Disneyland officials have confirmed that the fine was the result of an administrative oversight that was corrected promptly with no impact on the environment. Autopia Car What is the California Air Resources Board, you ask? Well, they’re responsible for protecting the public from the harmful effects of air pollution. While it was originally planned that the Autopia cars would become electric by fall 2026, that timeline has now been pushed back. However, Disneyland officials have confirmed that they’ve reached an agreement with the California Air Resources Board to retire the current Autopia gas-powered engines in early 2027, which is only a few months after the original plan’s timeline. Disneyland’s Autopia Disneyland Resort has made a sustainability commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2030, and this change to electric power is part of that plan. Disneyland officials also stated that they are seriously committed to meeting or exceeding all applicable air quality requirements, hence their volunteering to pay the settlement and making the switch to electric. Autopia ticket Many Disney fans are also hoping a similar change will come to Tomorrowland Speedway in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, but so far, no news about a change has been announced. Saving money on Disney World tickets can be a sweet deal, but sometimes it’s not always worth the trade-offs. Mickey park ticket Disney World has released a TON of discounts for the summer, but they added another new ticket deal. You can now get cheaper tickets if you visit the theme parks later in the day. While this might sound like a good deal, it’s not for everyone. We’re breaking down all the details of the ticket deal, who should take advantage of it, and who should look for other discounted deals this summer. Afternoon Ticket Details The afternoon ticket is a discounted ticket that will allow guests to visit parks after 2 PM. It covers all four parks, so you can pick one with your ticket (yes, you can use it to go to Magic Kingdom!). You can get a discount on a 2-day or 3-day ticket, with admission to one park per day after 2 PM, valid for dates from May 26th through July 29th. Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle Pricing for the tickets depends on the start day, but a 2-day ticket will run anywhere from $118 per day to $156 per day. The cheapest dates are from mid-July through the end of that month. A 3-day ticket will run anywhere from $116 per day to $154 per day, with late July offering the lowest prices. This is a discount of around $30 to $50 per day from the standard all-day ticket. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Who Should Skip This Deal If You Want a Full Park Day If you are looking for a full park day, open to close, obviously, this ticket is not right for you. Many guests love rope dropping and staying until the fireworks. With this ticket, you can go from a 13-hour day at Magic Kingdom to only having 8 hours. Adventureland rope drop crowds. If You’re Going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom If you want to spend the day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this ticket isn’t a great option, as this park closes the earliest out of all of them. Some days, Animal Kingdom will close at 6 PM. That will only give you 4 hours at this park. In 2026, we can admit that there isn’t much to do at this park with Tropical Americas construction underway, but 4 hours could still feel pretty rushed to cover the open attractions. Tree of Life Awakenings If You Want to Do Everything Doing a table service meal (or two) can take up a lot of your time, and add in riding multiple attractions to that, your day can fill up fast. If you want to experience most of a Disney World park, the afternoon ticket is probably not for you, as you will run out of time to dine and ride attractions. Full spread at Akerhus Who Should Utilize This Ticket If You are a Disney World Local The afternoon ticket is a great option for locals who live near Disney World, but are not Annual Passholders. If you want to come to the park after work to grab dinner or ride a few of your favorite attractions, this would be a great deal for you. Disney’s Hollywood Studios If You Have Young Kids Disney parents, if you know that your kids will get burned out on 13 hours at a Disney park, the afternoon ticket might be perfect for you! Disney World can be overstimulating for little ones, and add in the heat of the summer — you might have grumpy kids before it’s even noon. If you want a slow start to your Disney day with your kids by the pool or enjoying a character breakfast, then hitting the parks, this ticket gives you that flexibility. Magic Kingdom Strollers If You are In Town, But Not For Disney Say you are in the Orlando area for a work trip or visiting family or friends, and you just want to pop over to Disney World. This is a great deal if you aren’t looking to do a full Disney World trip, but instead are just in the area and want to take advantage of a few free evenings. Magic Kingdom is a hotbed of activity right now — let’s just say, there’s a lot going on. For starters, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad just recently reopened with a ton of new changes, as did Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Diamond Horseshoe Meanwhile, an entire new Villains land is being built behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, while Frontierland is getting a Cars expansion. Well, now, a Magic Kingdom restaurant has closed to make way for something new. Yep, Diamond Horseshoe has officially closed. On May 26th, Cool Kids Summer returns to Disney World, including Magic Kingdom. As part of this year’s Cool Kids Summer, a new experience is coming to the Diamond Horseshoe, which is why it’s closed. The restaurant is being transformed into Jessie’s Roundup, a new experience with a Toy Story theme. That means the restaurant has to close while Disney transforms the space. It’s closed The doors are locked now, so this restaurant is officially closed. The doors are locked However, the menu was still up. We’re not sure if this will be removed or not while The restaurant menu is still up The Diamond Horseshoe will convert into an experience where kids can craft, dance, and have other kinds of fun inside a nice air-conditioned space (and we can imagine, this might also be a good respite for parents, too). We don’t have a lot of details about what else will be available at Jessie’s Roundup, nor do we know if any kind of food or snacks will be offered. Woody and Jessie! Cool Kids Summer will last through September 8th, at which time, it seems The Diamond Horseshoe will convert back into a restaurant. In the meantime, you’ll still be able to get the same menu at Liberty Tree Tavern (the two restaurants share a menu), so if you’re craving that holiday-like meal, you can still get it at Liberty Tree Tavern (which is highly popular, so you might want to make reservations ahead of time). Liberty Tree Tavern Cool Kids Summer will also feature scheduled character appearances at Disney World hotels, character meet-and-greets at Early Theme Park Entry, and more. You’ll want to check out everything it has to offer here. We’ll keep an eye out for more changes in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. While there are many popular souvenirs available at Disney World — pins, Mickey Ears, clothing, plush, and on it goes — one of the most popular categories of Disney World souvenirs is free! That’s right, we’re talking CELEBRATION BUTTONS. Celebration Button! These personalized pieces allow revelers to show other guests and Cast Members what they’re celebrating. However, there’s something about the buttons that many guests don’t see to understand. So let’s dig in! What Are Celebration Buttons? So, a quick refresh for those unfamiliar: Celebration Buttons are a complimentary souvenir available at Walt Disney World. Celebration Button There are several variants available, including: 1st Visit Birthday Happily Ever After for weddings, honeymoons, and anniversaries. “I’m Celebrating…” that can be personalized for any occasion. Celebration Buttons Cast Members will personalize these buttons with guests’ names, dates, and specifics of their celebration. What are YOU celebrating in Disney World? Where Can Celebration Buttons Be Found? Celebration Buttons can be found across property, at Guest Relations at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, as well as the front desk of any Disney resort hotel, and most merchandise locations on property. Celebration Buttons The Rule Everyone Gets Wrong So, Celebration Buttons are free, varied, customizable to pretty much any occasion, and available across Walt Disney World. What exactly are guests getting wrong about them? Well, it all has to do with expectations. Saving the Galaxy! You see, Celebration Buttons are one of the things that Disney Cast Members used to hand out Magical Moments. These extra-special actions taken for guests aim to make their day, well, magical. Things like a room upgrade at a Disney hotel, a complimentary treat, or getting picked to do something special, like be part of a show. Truth be told, your writer had an experience like this several years ago when my wife and I received complimentary PhotoPass at the Magic Kingdom thanks to “Happily Ever After” buttons we were wearing in honor of our anniversary. Anniversary Celebration However, these small actions used to fly somewhat under the radar, but — like many things — the internet has had a somewhat negative effect on them. See, some guests began to incorrectly EXPECT special treatment, freebies, etc., on their vacation because of their buttons, thanks to reading about someone else’s experience online. Grab a celebration button! Suffice to say, wearing a Celebration Button does not guarantee ANYTHING except friendly congratulations from Cast Members and (most likely) other guests. So bear that in mind next time you’re celebrating a special occasion at Walt Disney World, and stay tuned to DFB for more about the rules at the “Most Magical Place on Earth”! 4 Secrets Imagineers Hid in Disney World Rides Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Soarin’ Across America is the new overlay for the popular Soarin’ attraction in both Disney World and Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort, and while it doesn’t open in DCA until July 2nd, it’ll officially open to the public in Disney World’s EPCOT on May 26th. Soarin’ Across America However, Cast Member previews are currently ongoing, and Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to ride early on May 19th and 20th, so we’ve fortunately already gotten the chance to ride. We’ve got some thoughts of our own, but after sharing our ride through on social media as well, it seems that a lot of Disney fans ALSO have some serious thoughts about this new version of the ride. You’ve been warned now — there are spoilers ahead! In our experience, we noticed that the transitions for this version of the ride aren’t as drastic, which translates to us feeling like the ride vehicle doesn’t move as much. There are still dips and dives, for sure, but they do feel less frequent and tamer than previous versions. Soarin’ Across America We also enjoyed the scents on the ride, but there were only three of them, which is fewer than what you normally smell on other versions of this ride. We noticed a grass scent in the prairie scene, a strong swamp/water smell in Louisiana, and some tropical flowers (potentially hibiscus) in Hawaii. You can smell grass here! However, our team was also in agreement with each other that this version, while special in its own way (especially starting off with that rocket launch), doesn’t rank higher than Soarin’ Around the World or Soarin’ Over California. Soarin’ Over California still remains the favorite of a lot of the members of our team, and when we took to social media, it seems A LOT of Disney fans are also in agreement. Soarin’ Over California Instagram user @at_home_engineering commented, “looks like California will continue to be the purest, most carefully crafted version” on our Instagram post, and others were quick to agree. When another user, @braddocdecaires, commented, “Soarin’ Across Americ-AI,” commenting on how the graphics and video look overall, Instagram user @ashlyn_fike was quick to reply in agreement, stating, “right? why can’t they make it like soaring over California?? It looks so much better.” User @itskozzboi also pointed something interesting out, saying, “The Pandora ride has better graphics and that place doesn’t even exist why couldn’t they have just taken a helicopter to these places.” Mount Rushmore in Soarin’ Across America Other Disney fans commented on their dislike of the transitions and how they’re not as smooth as previous versions. Instagram user @megs.hairtheory commented on our post, “The fact that the transitions aren’t smooth/cool like in the original makes me mad.” Other Disney fans have also agreed with this sentiment, and we can totally see why. The transitions are what often blow people away about Soarin’, so the change is decently drastic. The Soarin’ Challenge However, we’ve also seen Disney fans very excited to ride this new version, with users like @disneygaga saying, “Can’t wait to see it IRL!!” and @happy.heather.johnson commenting, “I love it and can’t wait to see it.” The takeaway from it? A lot of people, our team included, seem to prefer other versions of the ride, but we appreciate that it’s here now, and we encourage you to experience it while you can, since it won’t be around forever! In my many adventures around Disney World, I’ve seen and experienced some weird things. All-Star Music I’ve tried bizarre foods, witnessed unfortunate ride malfunctions, and seen unusual behaviors from other travelers. But last year, I had a really weird thing happen to me at a Disney World hotel that I’d never experienced before. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Recently, a photo popped up in my camera roll memories from last year, on a day when I was reporting in Disney World for my job. The day in question involved a trip to Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, where I was checking out construction progress on the gift shop. During my visit, I had to use the FuelRod machine in the lobby to get a fresh charger for my phone, but when I went to swap out my FuelRod, there was a glitch. The machine somehow got stuck in a loop where it kept spitting out extra FuelRods for each one I put in, and when I tried to put them back into the machine, I ended up with SIX FuelRods! It was like a weird Groundhog Day situation, except with portable chargers. Four of my six FuelRods I’d never experienced anything like that before — usually it’s just “pop in the old FuelRod and the new, fully-charged one comes out.” Pretty straightforward! So I took my stack of FuelRods to the front desk, explained the problem, and turned in the extras. It mostly just turned into a fun anecdote to tell my coworkers, and it hasn’t happened to me again since. New FuelRod machines But you know what? Even that weird experience didn’t deter me from my favorite portable chargers. FuelRods can be swapped for free at any station in Disney World, and you can easily find portable charger stations by searching the My Disney Experience app. ©Disney When you’re on the “Portable Phone Charging Service Kiosks” page in the My Disney Experience app, you can select “Find on Map” to view the FuelRod kiosks near you. You can also use the “Get Directions” feature to have the app guide you to the closest station. ©Disney Of course, you don’t have to wait until you’re in a bind to purchase your FuelRods. They’re also sold on Amazon, so you could potentially get them for cheaper than you could in the parks at the kiosks. Then, you can still use them like normal, swapping them out whenever they’ve died. CHECK OUT THE FUELRODS ON AMAZON HERE! So if you’re searching for a portable charger to take to Disney World, FuelRods are my go-to — they’ve lasted me through several years of reporting in the parks, and they’re very convenient! You likely won’t experience the strange FuelRod warp in the matrix that I did, but if you do, it’ll be a fun story to tell. It’s official! We’re just a few weeks away from the May 26th opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we could not be more excited. ©Disney Disney is helping us count down the days because they just dropped ANOTHER sneak peek at the ride, and it’s a big one. We now know that two of the most iconic characters, a pair that we loved dearly from Muppet*Vision 3D and beyond, will be part of the ride! This is so excited, as we know we weren’t the only ones who were going to miss hearing their heckling, and now we don’t have to! Based on the video, it’s not entirely clear where they’re situated inside the ride or queue, but from what we can see, it looks like the loading or unloading area! Growing up, every summer vacation, I looked forward to one magical day when my mom would come and knock on my door and ask if I wanted to go shopping at Old Navy. This was almost my unofficial start to the school break, because yes, I did need new flip-flops. Yes, I did need at least three different American Flag t-shirts for the year. Yes, I did need shorts, skirts, and a bathing suit or two. I remember leaving the Old Navy at the local mall with just bags upon bags of goodies. Well, guess what. As an adult, I can still capture this summer break shopping spree magic, and still do it with Old Navy — now with 100% more Disney. Dare, I say it’s even better now? Following the launch of 2025’s Old Navy x Disney Americana collection, it’s back for a second time. This means more Mickey Mouse, more summer memories, and more reasons for me to venture out to the local Old Navy at the nearby mall. Old Navy x Disney: The American Collection 2026 In 2025, Mickey Mouse became the first character ever to appear on Old Navy’s iconic American Flag t-shirt. The first collection, featuring a wide variety of styles and designs, not only featuring Mickey Mouse, but also some of his best friends, quickly went viral in my closet. I might have even insisted that the entire communications department supporting Disney Parks Blog buy the hot dog t-shirt (we all did; we still wear the t-shirt). The new collection expands the idea of summer fun, with all-new pieces, updated silhouettes, and expanded categories that feel both nostalgic and trendy for the entire family. I can’t take a stroll around Disneyland without seeing some of the 2025 collection, so I’m excited to see what pieces become park-going favorites for this year. If you see me wandering around Main Street, USA, wearing the Reversible Bucket Hat and sipping on a cold brew…no, you didn’t. As a big Old Navy enthusiast, this collection checks so many boxes for my summer wardrobe. I’ve always loved Old Navy because their pieces feel effortless and wearable while still being full of personality — and this one just happens to be full of Mickey Mouse. The clothes fit my real life, whether I’m heading to work or heading out to Disneyland, and the prices make it easy to say yes to a little style refresh whenever I need one. It’s that magical mix of good staples and wallet-friendly finds that keep me coming back season after season. And in this case, summer collection after summer collection. Don’t know where to start your own shopping cart first? I’ve got you covered with some of my favorite picks. Even though I would have been first in line to shop it regardless, Old Navy extended an invitation to me to stop by the store at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, California, to check it out. Who doesn’t love a bright and early first look to get a peek at what’s dropping (right now! It’s available online and in stores!) to add to my closet. What I’m shopping for myself I actually let out a little gasp the first time I saw the Mickey Mouse Fit & Flare Cami Mini Dress. I’ve already got one (or two) Fit & Flare dresses in my closet, but now adding one with a subtle Mickey Mouse touch? Summer perfection. It’s perfect for a hot day walking around Disneyland Resort, or even heading towards the beach. The Cotton Scarf is also immediately going into my cart. And that’s just the first of many accessories. The Logo-Graphic T-Shirt is also a must-buy because have you seen what’s on the back? Complimenting last summer’s hot dog shirt, this year it’s a burger(!!). It also comes in sizes for little ones, so that the whole family can match. More things I’m picking up for myself, regardless if someone is going to match with me, include the Mickey Mouse Short-Sleeve Cropped Raglan Fleece Sweatshirt. I wasn’t originally going to grab the Oversized Graphic Raglan Sweatshirt, but I took one look at it in the store and realized it needed to be added to my closet. The Raglan sweatshirts are just so cozy and perfect for everyday. I also love the little Mickey Mouse graphic on the front, which is subtle enough for every summer event. It does sometimes get cold at night while I’m watching the Disneyland fireworks… I also can’t pass up a new tote for summer, and the Small Plaid Tote Bag is perfect for wherever I’m headed. But, for today’s shopping adventure, everything fit nicely in the Large Tote Bag, outfitted with perfect patches on the side. It’s got a pocket on the inside to keep everything organized, whether I’m headed to the park to pick up some snacks or a nearby BBQ. What I’m shopping for others As an aunt to some adorable little ones, it’s going to be hard to resist buying absolutely everything. The little plaid shirt and short combos, for toddlers, and both boys and girls? Immediate buy. It also comes in adult sizes, too, for the whole family to match. I might also be just a little jealous that the Jelly Fisherman Sandals featuring Minnie Mouse are only available for babies. My summer to-do list includes taking my nephews to the pool, so I grabbed the Swim Rashguard Bodysuit for babies. The striped Mickey Mouse pattern is so cute, so this is another opportunity to match the whole fam because it’s available as a woman’s one-piece, too. I also want to take a moment and really appreciate the Cardigan Sweater. It comes in the color “sea salt,” which is perfect as it is, but features the most delicate Mickey Mouse design I’ve ever seen. It’s also not too heavy, while still being warm enough to layer over something…like perhaps one of Old Navy’s classic American Flag shirts? I was eying this for my sister for all our summer park trips, but I might just have to grab one for myself. Shop the collection now in stores and online! Happy summer. Bluey is officially becoming a permanent part of Disney World, and if you’ve got little ones at home, this is the kind of news that stops the scroll. Bluey and Bingo! The beloved Australian animated series has captured the hearts of kids and parents alike over the past few years, and Disney is leaning all the way in. Here’s everything you need to know about Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom before you start planning your visit. How to Get In: The Virtual Queue One of the most important things to know before you go is that Bluey’s Wild World will use a virtual queue when it opens, so you won’t be able to just walk up. Conservation Station You’ll need to grab a boarding group through the My Disney Experience app, and there are two windows to do it: 7 AM or 1 PM. For the 7 AM window, you don’t have to be inside the park, but you do need valid admission. For the 1 PM window, you need to be inside Animal Kingdom. Disney has said a standby queue will open at some point, but plan for the virtual queue for now. Getting There: The Wildlife Express Train To reach Conservation Station, you’ll board the Wildlife Express Train near Harambe Market in the Africa section of the park. The ride gives you a behind-the-scenes peek at the animal care facilities connected to Kilimanjaro Safaris, so it’s genuinely worth the trip even before the Bluey fun starts. Wildlife Express Meeting Bluey and Bingo Once you arrive, Bluey’s Wild World delivers a full experience, not just a photo line. You’ll get to meet both Bluey and Bingo, play classic games from the show like Keepy Uppy and Magic Asparagus, and take part in a dance party. ©Bluey The whole thing wraps up with a bubble shower, which honestly sounds like a perfect ending for any age group. The whole experience is designed to feel like you’ve stepped into an episode, and from what Disney’s described, it delivers on that. Jumping Junction: Australian Animals The former Affection Section has been reimagined as Jumping Junction, a shared habitat where you can see kangaroos and wallabies up close. Former Affection Section It’s a smart connection that makes the experience feel cohesive rather than just slapping a character on an existing attraction. Food, Merchandise, and More Disney is going all in on the Bluey theming across the park. At Pizzafari, look for Fairy Bread Cake, a vanilla birthday cake dipped in white chocolate with rainbow sprinkles, plus a frozen Fruit Salad-inspired drink called Wackadoo Fruit Freeze and Bluey’s Berry Lemonade. Fairy Bread Cake Over at Isle of Java, you can grab Pretzel’s Pretzels with cheese and blueberry-mustard dipping sauces. For merchandise, Bluey gear will be available at both Island Mercantile on Discovery Island and at Conservation Station itself, with plush headbands and a Create Your Own plush arriving later this summer. ©Disney Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station opens May 26 as part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER at Walt Disney World, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most well-rounded new additions Animal Kingdom has seen in a while.
