Can Guest Relations Charge Your Phone for You in Disney World? We Found Out!

Recommended Posts

Being on your phone is pretty much a necessity in Disney World these days. The My Disney Experience app (also called the Disney World app) is your one-stop shop for anything you might need on your vacation.

The Disney World app is your park ticket and hotel room key, but it’s also how you can book dining reservations, order food, purchase souvenirs, check wait times, scan into Lightning Lanes, and more. But, all that work puts quite a bit of strain on your phone’s battery, which begs the question — Can Guest Relations charge your phone for you in the parks?

The draining phone battery in Disney World is a problem we know all to well as folks who are constantly on our devices in the parks. But, we know it’s a common problem — which is why we’ve set out to find as many solutions for you as we can! Back in the day, Disney World Guest Relations would charge your phone for you if you needed it, but it had been a while since we confirmed. So, we headed to the parks to find out!

And, unfortunately — it’s not great news. Guest Relations did used to charge phones in dire scenarios, but that is no longer the case. Occasionally, they may have portable chargers like FuelRods for you to use while you’re standing there but they may not have the charging cables, rendering them pretty much useless. It’s still worth asking about if you’re in a pinch, but just know that they may say no.

So, while Guest Relations won’t actually charge your phone for you — here are some things you can do instead. First, always keep a charger and power block in your park bag! There are actually quite a few places you can find outlets to charge your phone throughout the parks. At EPCOT, Connections Eatery and the nearby World Celebration Gardens are full of outlets — both AC and USB — and some of the tables even feature wireless charging.

Another top tip we love is to pack a portable battery charger in addition to just the cable so that you can charge your phone on the go! Having to stop what you’re doing to sit and charge your phone can take up a big chunk of time, and time is important at Disney World! Being able to charge your phone no matter where you are in the parks can save you a major headache.

And, if you’re really in a pinch — you can find FuelRod Kiosks all over Disney World and they can come in handy. These little portable chargers are sold in kiosks, and when you’ve depleted the battery on yours, you can exchange it for a fully charged one at any of those kiosks! These are super handy to carry around with us in the parks because we’re able to keep charged constantly. We don’t have to worry about losing power because they can always be swapped out for a fully charged one at any of the kiosks installed in the parks and hotels across Disney World.
