We Have A Word of WARNING About Magic Kingdom This Week

It’s no secret that this is a busy time of year for Disney World.

Crowds in Magic Kingdom

It’s the Spring Break travel season, which means a LOT of folks have flown into Orlando International Airport and are heading for Disney World. We’ve seen some pretty serious crowds recently, along with some high Genie+ prices, and it looks like that could be the case next week. In fact, if you’re someone who still needs a park pass reservation to visit Disney World, you’ll find that one park is completely SOLD OUT for three days next week.

So here’s the deal: not everyone needs a park pass reservation to get into Disney World’s theme parks. In fact, if you have a date-based ticket, you’re good to go. However, some ticket types still require a reservation. That includes Annual Passholders, Cast Members, student groups, and others.

For those with theme park tickets or resort guests, Magic Kingdom park pass reservations are completely gone on April 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. However, the other three theme parks are available on those dates. You’ll also find availability for all four parks on April 5th and 6th. If you’re planning on visiting Magic Kingdom next week, though, we recommend grabbing those reservations ASAP.

Magic Kingdom Park Passes aren’t available for annual passholders on four days this week.

For those with an Annual Pass, Incredi Pass and Sorcerer Passholders still have availability for all four parks for the whole week. Again, though, that could change quickly, so if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, make that reservation ASAP.

However, those with a Pirate Pass or Pixie Dust Pass are blocked out from all four parks for next week.

The Spring Break season will be winding down soon enough, but this summer could be pretty busy, at least in Magic Kingdom: Not only is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure set to open this summer, but the Country Bear Jamboree is set to reopen with a brand new show. This could be one of the busiest summers we’ve seen in a while!

We also took a look at park hours. Magic Kingdom will be open from 8AM-11PM every day next week. Extended Evening Hours are on April 3rd from 11PM-1AM.

The hours at EPCOT are 9AM-9PM all week. Extended Evening Hours are on April 1st from 9PM-11PM.

At Hollywood Studios, the hours are from 9AM-9:30AM on March 30th and April 6th. The hours are from 8:30AM-9:30AM on April 1st through 5th. An After Hours event is on April 3rd from 9:30PM to 12:30AM.

Finally, Animal Kingdom is open from 8AM-8PM on March 31st and April 1st through 5th. The hours for April 6th are from 8AM to 7PM.

As always, we recommend checking for park pass availability on the Disney World website if you need to make a reservation. You’ll also want to keep an eye on park hours on the website or the My Disney Experience app because those can change, too.
