As you may know, Disney World has two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Over the past three years, though, we’ve never seen both open at the same time: if one is open, the other is usually closed. Right now, Blizzard Beach is open, but we’re seeing something on the Disney World calendar that makes us wonder if it’s closing again soon. Now, Blizzard Beach has closed temporarily recently due to weather, which does happen with the water parks from time to time. However, when we look at Disney World’s calendar, we’re noticing that Blizzard Beach isn’t showing any operating hours for dates after January 27th. It seems a little early for Disney to close the park due to the weather forecast, after all. ©Disney Disney hasn’t stated why Blizzard Beach isn’t listing hours after that date, especially as the calendar shows operating hours past that date at Disney World’s other parks. It could be that Blizzard Beach is closing for refurbishment, but the other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, typically opens when that happens. When we checked the calendar, though, Typhoon Lagoon is also not showing hours. ©Disney Now, there is no guarantee that both parks will be closed on or after that date, and this could be just a case of Disney not having released the hours for the water parks yet.
