Driving to Disney World is a norm for many, but for some of you, it might sound like one of the worst things imaginable.

Long road trips aren’t for everyone, but there are times when they could be more ideal. Plus, booking plane tickets and getting through the airports and your flight in one piece is a dreaded experience in itself. If you’re exploring the idea of driving to Disney World in 2024, we have something that might encourage you to take that leap.

According to WSILTV News3, gas prices are set to continue to fall in 2024 — for the second year in a row. Analysts believe that the average gas prices across the United States will average $3.38 per day in 2024, a drop from 2023’s average of $3.51 per day.

They go on to say that Americans will spend as much as $32 billion LESS in 2024 on fuel. So, what does this mean for us travelers? Well, driving to Disney World was already (in most cases) cheaper than flying. In 2024, it will be even cheaper, based on these predictions.

Driving to Disney World could be a smarter financial decision in 2024

This truly adds to the list of reasons why it might be more ideal to skip the whole plane and airport ideal. When you take into consideration the amount of time it takes to drive to the airport, check in, check your bags, wander through the airport, board the plane, fly, de-board, grab your luggage, and then arrange transportation to Disney World, it might take up the same amount of time that it would take to drive. Plus, you won’t have to worry about delays, cancellations, or issues like the ongoing pilot shortage.

However, there are some things to consider when choosing whether or not to drive. For starters, 2 new law updates have been introduced in Florida that could affect your trip. Plus, you have to think about the money that you’ll then be spending on parking at the parks (if you choose to drive yourself around property, too).
