There are lots of things that make our jaws drop to the floor when sailing one of the ships on Disney Cruise Line like the fact you can get DOLE whip and packing so much themed entertainment on board

There she is! The Disney Dream

…but believe us when we say the kids have ALL the fun with this one thing that we went WILD over!

There’s so much to see and do for people of all ages aboard Disney Cruise Line’s ships but if you’ve ever ventured down to the Oceaneer Club, chances are you’ve seen this in action and found yourself saying, “Whoa!”

Your kids will LOVE this slide down into the Oceaneer Club!

Disney Cruise Line’s kid’s club, called the Oceaneer Club, is designed to keep even the most active of kids busy with lots of games, activities, movies, and more all throughout your sailing but the fun starts even BEFORE they step in.

As you’re checking your kids into your ship’s Oceaneer Club the youth counselors will direct them over to the automated hand washing station to give them a good scrubbing before heading inside to start touching everything. Ah, you caught that right — automated. But this isn’t like a sensor turning on a running faucet as you’re holding your hand underneath it, it’s soooo much more than that!

Hand washing stations at the Oceaneer Club

This automated hand washing station has your kids stick their hands into the cubby space while the water jets spray a combination of water and soap in a circular motion for 20 seconds while your child keeps their hands inserted. Once it’s done washing, the sensor will turn off and the water will stop allowing your kids to pull their hands back and wipe them dry.

It washes for you!

Pretty neat, huh? We told you, you’d want to try it too! Sorry adults, but this is ONLY available to kids visiting the Oceaneer Club unless you visit during the Open House hours where you can come tour sections of the ship that are normally restricted to certain age groups — and yes, you’ll be asked to wash your hands before entering, too!

Have you ever had a chance to try out these handwashing stations? Do your kids think they’re the best part of visiting the onboard kids club? Check back in with us at Disney Food Blog for even more updates and tips about Disney Cruise Line!
