We’ve got an important Disney Dining Plan UPDATE for ya!

Magic Kingdom

You all already know that the Dining Plans are returning on January 9th, and you probably also know that, when the plans return, they’ll look a little different than they did before. Rules have changed, some restaurants have changed their credit requirements, and the prices have been updated as well. Now we’ve got an update about which Main Street Confectionery treats will be counted as snacks in 2024!

When you buy a Disney Dining Plan, you’re essentially buying meal and snack credits for your vacation. Each plan comes with a certain number of credits for each day (although you don’t have to use them on specific days — you could use them all in one day if you wanted to!).

mmm, popcorn!

For the Quick Service Plan, you get two quick service credits and one snack credit per day. For the Standard Plan, you get one table service credit, one quick service credit, and one snack credit per day.

Quick Service and Table Service credits are simple enough — You can use them at quick service and table service restaurants, respectively (though note that some table service meals actually require TWO credits per meal, such as signature restaurants and some character dining).

Snack credits get you any qualifying snack. This includes things like Mickey ice cream bars, popcorn, bottled soft drinks…anything that Disney has labeled with the little Disney Dining Plan snack symbol.

That symbol is key — look for it on menus around the park to find out what counts as a snack for the Dining Plans. Another way to tell, though, is to go on Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app and look for the phrase “Qualifies as a Snack” in the item’s description. That means it counts as a Disney Dining Plan snack.

We recently ventured into the Main Street Confectionery to find out which of the tasty treats in this Magic Kingdom shop would count as snack credits! This is a great place to grab an iconic, Mickey-shaped sweet treat during your day in the park.

We love the Main Street Confectionery!

We spotted that little Dining Plan symbol next to several treats, like the Twix Fudge Pop, Cereal Treats, and the M&M’s Caramel Cold Brew Fudge.

Snacks!

But when we hopped onto the app, we saw that even MORE treats qualify as snacks. The Cast Member in the Confectionery said that they will continue to update the cards in the display cases before the Dining Plan officially returns on January 9th, but anything listed as a snack in Mobile Order will count, even if the little symbol isn’t on the physical price card.

Here’s a full list of the Main Street Confectionery treats that qualify as Disney Dining Plan snacks, per Mobile Order:

  • Twix Fudge Pop
  • M&M’s Caramel Cold Brew Fudge
  • Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie
  • Mickey Gingerbread Cookie
  • Mickey Sugar Cookie
  • Mickey Scone with Dove Chocolate
  • Mickey and Minnie Cereal Treats
  • Mickey Cereal Treat with Freeze-Dried Skittles
  • M&M’s Holiday Cereal Treat
  • Mickey Chocolate Cake Pop made with Chopped Snickers
  • Mickey Chocolate Cake Pop
  • Minnie Holiday Mallow Pop
  • Peanut Butter Cookie Pie made with M&M’s Peanut Butter Candies
  • Brownie Pie with M&M’s Candies
  • Caramel Apple
  • Classic Mickey Caramel Apple
  • Classic Minnie Caramel Apple
  • Caramel Apple with Chopped Peanuts
  • Mickey Holiday Cupcake
  • Cherry Candy Apple with Life Savers Gummies
  • Glacier Drinks in Blue Raspberry, Powerade Fruit Punch, Minute Maid Lemonade, and Fanta Orange
  • The Cold-leidoscope Gralicer drink
  • The Orange Brrr’d glacier drink
  • The cold-coction glacier drink

That’s a lot of great options if you want to grab a sweet treat in Magic Kingdom! Some of these treats are pretty expensive, too, which means you’ll really make the most of your Dining Plan if you grab one of those pricey options. For example, the Mickey Caramel Apple is $12.99, but it still counts as a snack!
