Disney’s Hollywood Studios We said goodbye to Splash Mountain, the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel, Harmonious, Tokyo Dining, and more, but there were some attractions and restaurants we still weren’t sure about. Disney hadn’t made any sort of announcements about these spots for quite some time — but now we have an official answer about one! Well, it’s official — Voyage of the Little Mermaid is permanently closed in Disney World. We had suspected this was the case for some time, but Disney’s latest announcement about a new show coming to the space means it’s true. Voyage of the Little Mermaid Voyage of the Little Mermaid was a stage show located in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It closed in 2020 with the rest of the parks for the pandemic but failed to reopen — and has sat vacant ever since. We speculated as to what might come of this space, and for a while Disney even showed signs of bringing it back, but now we know that isn’t the case. Voyage of the Little Mermaid The new show will be called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” and is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Fall 2024 and will be a “fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic” of the same name.
