Watch Out for This Disney World Ride CLOSURE on January 8th!

One ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is going to be temporarily CLOSED in early 2024.

If you’re planning a trip for January of next year, make sure you take note of this closure!

According to the Disney World website, Kali River Rapids in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom will be temporarily closed starting on January 8th, 2024.

We anticipated this closure, as the water ride usually shuts down for refurbishment sometime during the winter months. Since it’s less popular when the weather is chilly, this is a good time for Disney to freshen up the ride.

Currently, the ride lists normal times for January 7th and then says “finder.schedule.emptySchedule” where times should show up on January 8th. This is likely just an error and will update soon to reflect the closure.

Right now, we can’t see an end date for the closure (opening times don’t reappear for any of the dates listed on the calendar), but we’ll keep you updated if we find out new information.
