Disney4me Posted December 12, 2023 Report Share Posted December 12, 2023 If you’ve ever driven to Magic Kingdom, you know that it can be a pain! Magic Kingdom Entrance The Magic Kingdom parking lot, otherwise known as the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is actually over a mile away from the park itself. Once you park, you’ll have to take a tram to the front of the TTC (or walk if you feel like getting those steps in), go through security, and then board either a Monorail or a ferryboat to ride the remainder of the distance to the entrance. But those doing this process today might have a big hurdle to jump. This morning, we arrived at the TTC to find out that the Express Monorail was down. This is the fastest way to get to the park typically, so it definitely threw a wrench in some people’s plans. It was closed! After a few minutes, Disney began running one Monorail train. But with only one train, things were significantly delayed, so they encouraged people to take the ferry instead. The Resort Monorail was still running at this time. Ferryboat If you’d like to take the Resort Monorail from the TTC, just know that you’ll have to stop at the Polynesian Village Resort and Grand Floridian Resort before reaching the Magic Kingdom stop. The whole trip takes about 15 minutes on average — which could possibly be the fastest option when there’s a delay like there was today. Resort Monorail it is!
