Disney4me Posted December 11, 2023 Report Share Posted December 11, 2023 If you’re going on a Disney Cruise, there’s something you should be warned about… Captain Hook and Mr. Smee on the Disney Magic Or maybe I should put it this way: BE YE WARNED, me hearties, because your ship — specifically, the Disney Magic — may be taken over by PIRATES, and they’ll want YOU to join their crew! So we’re here to walk you through EVERYTHING you need to know about Pirate Night on the Disney Magic so YOU don’t walk the plank! Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party On Disney Cruise Line, Pirate Night can vary from ship to ship. For instance, on the new Disney Wish, passengers experience the Pirates Rockin’ Parlay Party. Here on the Disney Magic… well, you’ve heard of Pirates of the Caribbean, right? The highlight of Pirate Night on Disney’s first ship to ever set sail is the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party! Pirate Night You’ll gather with your fellow pirates on the pool deck for a nighttime party like no other. Disney pals and crew will entertain you with a show and teach YOU how to party like a pirate! But beware… YO HO! They may be joined onstage by some uninvited scoundrels and scallywags! From this point… well, I don’t want to spoil things. Let’s just say that someone very special just may show up to save the night. Pirate Mickey The entire thing is capped off by something Disney Cruise Line is known for: FIREWORKS AT SEA! ©Disney Now we pirates don’t like rules, do we??? HECK, NO! Still, we must remind that fireworks are weather-permitting. Also, be aware that Pirate Night is part of select sailings, so check your itinerary on the Disney Cruise Line website, or with help from your Travel Agent. Disney Characters and Costumes The fun starts even before the sun sets on Pirate Night! As the ship prepares for the party, Disney characters prepare in their own way… by donning their best PIRATE COSTUMES so you can get a hug and have your photo taken with the cutest band of pirates you ever did see. The Disney Pals Pirate Crew Doesn’t Daisy make an especially pretty pirate? Pirate Daisy (Not to leave out Pirate Minnie, of course!) Pirate Minnie But here’s the thing… Disney pals aren’t the only ones who get to gear up with gold hoop earrings, tricorn hats, striped shirts and socks, and… umm, HOOKS. Captain Hook You see, passengers are likewise encouraged to dress for the occasion! And you won’t believe how many guests go ALL OUT for the big night. Didn’t pack any pirate garb? That’s ok, matey! Disney Cruise Line has you covered, as every guest on the ship receives their very own Pirates in the Caribbean bandana to fit right in. (If you really won’t feel like your look is complete without an eye patch, though… you’re on your own.) Pirate Eats Of course, a pirate’s gotta eat to be ready to party, so Pirate Night features a special menu for dinner at each of the Main Dining restaurants. Rapunzel’s Royal Table On the Disney Magic, these are Rapunzel’s Royal Table, Lumiere’s, and Animator’s Palate. But don’t you fret… no matter where you are dining on Pirate Night in Disney Cruise Line’s signature Rotational Dining, the special Pirate Night menu will be served. Roasted Privateer Strip Loin Pictured above is the Roasted Privateer Strip Loin served with thyme-roasted potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding. Though subject to change, other options may include dishes like Jolly Rogers Barbecue Rib Salad, Vegetable Samosas, Pirates Gold-en Pot Stickers and Chilled-to-the-Bone Honeydew Melon and Watermelon Soup. Oh, and you’ll likely spy Rum-Soaked Chocolate Cake as one of the dessert choices, of course. AHOY! Pirate-y Extras Pirate Night fun extends beyond dinner and the deck party onboard the Disney Magic! You might join in on Pirate Trivia or a themed game show as one of the many onboard activities. Get a little GOOFY on Pirate Night! Lil’ Pirates may enjoy pirate-themed activities at their own dedicated clubs (like Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab for kids ages 3 – 12 years old). (HA! Like that would ever happen on a Disney Cruise…) Your itinerary might include a special late-night buffet following the deck party on Pirate Night!
