These are devices that can easily be unplugged if you don’t want to use them inside the room, but the virtual assistant can tell you park hours, read your kids a Disney bedtime story, play trivia with you, and so much more. But did you know your Alexa can also bring some Disney magic into your home? While one of our team members was messing around with their Alexa at home, they discovered that there are special Disney features you can turn on at the click of a button! Hey Disney! at Art of Animation Resort! To turn these settings on, head to your Alexa app, go to the more tab, and at the bottom right you’ll see a tab for Skills and Games. Just search “Disney,” and you’ll see a ton of skills pop up! ©Disney One of these skills is the D-park radio, which will play a constant stream of Disney parks music. Whichever skills you decide to turn on, just be sure to follow the vocal prompts it gives you when instructing your Alexa, and you’re good as gold. Amazon Echo devices in Disney World Resort hotel rooms! You can also hear 140 tales of far-off places with Storybooks, including stories like The Lion King, Frozen, Moana, and so many more. Don’t forget to test your knowledge of all things Disney with Trivia, which has over 300 questions about Disney parks, characters, movies, and history. Character Messages and Play-Along Adventures are also available, as are simpler tasks like setting alarms, checking the weather, and more. Hey Disney! Soundscapes is also a fantastic way to bring the magic of Disney into your home — you can hear sounds and music from the worlds of Star Wars, Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy, Coco, and many more. The Magical Companion, the voice of Hey Disney!, also selects Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Rocket and Groot, Dory, C-3PO, and more, so you’ll always be surprised by new character voices. Hey, Disney! Now, to add Hey, Disney! to your existing Amazon device, it’ll cost you $5.99 per year. However, it’s included with an Amazon Kids+ subscription, which costs $4.99 a month. If you don’t already have an Amazon Kids+ subscription and wouldn’t benefit from the additional audiobooks, kids’ books, videos, and more included with one, then we recommend just adding Hey, Disney! onto your existing device.
