Wait times can be long, your favorite ride might be closed for maintenance, and severe weather can impact your trip whether you’d like it or not. Disneyland visitors learned that firsthand on the evening of December 4th when an earthquake was felt in the parks.

KABC7 has reported a 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck at 8:09PM PT on Monday, December 4th, 2023 — just two miles north of Disneyland Resort. The epicenter was reported to be one mile east of Fullerton, California.

People at the epicenter of the earthquake reported feeling a single, strong jolt — but reports also came in from people who were at Disneyland and could feel the impact. In fact, Disney shut down 35 rides due to the strike.
