Magic Kingdom map You might think Magic Kingdom, because of its many rides, or EPCOT because of the World Showcase, but it’s actually Animal Kingdom! The park has to have enough room for all of those animals to roam around, of course. We like to check out the park regularly so we can stay up to date with everything happening, so let’s look at what’s new in Animal Kingdom! Animal Kingdom Food Update Zuri’s Sweets Shop Bunny Butt Rice Krispie Treats are BACK in Disney World, and we first spotted them over at Zuri’s Sweets! They’re just the normal Mickey Rice Krispie Treats covered in white chocolate, with a marshmallow for the tail and some icing and sprinkles to decorate! Could this BE any cuter?! You can get it for $5.49! Click here to read our full review of the Bunny Butts! Thirsty River Bar Thirsty River Bar is no longer offering the Mint Julep! So sad. It’s gone There are a lot of other options here though, as it IS a full bar! Or, you can try the featured drinks: the Yeti Sunset or Shimmering Green Margarita. Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update Island Mercantile We found this Vault sweatshirt in Island Mercantile! We have seen it online before, but now it’s available in the parks, too. You can get it for $69.99. New sweatshirt just in time for warmer weather There is a new (and adorable) Up mug that looks like a Wilderness Explorer outfit… We LOVE …with Dug as the spoon! Grab it for $19.99. We want a talking dog, please The Encanto section in here has been replaced by a bunch of Turning Red merch in order to celebrate the new film (which is out today, BTW). We found a new Turning Red Relax crop top… Just relax …that has “Embrace Your Inner Panda” on the back! You can get it for $36.99. Back of the shirt There is also a new Turning Red pillow purse with a blanket inside! It’s like a plush and a blanket all in one. Perfect for on the go! You can grab this guy for $34.99. The blanket is hiding inside Also peep this new Turning Red sweatshirt that says “I accept all labels” — we love that energy! Perfect to watch the new movie in! Grab this one for $54.99. Closer look at the sleeve Are you a fan of squishmallows? Then you’ll wanna check out this pink Turning Red panda one over here! You can get it for $29.99. Pink panda Also available is a new Turning Red Pandamonium Flannel (ha-ha, get it?!). The front has a few symbols from the movie on it… Need a new flannel? …and the back has the panda and the word “Pandamonium.” This is available in adult sizes for $59.99… Chaos! …or kids sizes for $39.99! Kid version The kids and the adult versions are exactly the same! Riverside Depot In Riverside Depot, we saw a new Beauty and the Beast Belle mug celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the film. Tale as old as time You can get it for $19.99! New mug! There is also a new Marie mug featuring the Eiffel Tower! This is a very tall mug! This one is also $19.99. Sipping tea with the Eiffel Tower If you love Toy Story 4, check out this Bunny and Ducky mug and spoon set! Underrated characters! You can grab this mug for $19.99 as well. Bunny is the spoon! Continuing with the mug trend, we also found this mug with old classic movie posters on it that we had previously only seen at the hotels. Which is your fave? This one is $14.99! Gotta love the classics! And finally, we have this new Aladdin mug! SO many mugs! This mug is also $14.99. A whole new worrrrrld We found 2 new pins in here as well — one is a floral Mulan pin and the other is a pin celebrating the 45th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh! New pins! Mulan is a limited edition pin, and Winnie the Pooh is limited release. Serka Zong Bazaar A super funny hat is available now at Serka Zong Bazaar — you can be just like a furry yeti! Animal Kingdom Additional Updates Festival of the Lion King There is a sign over at Festival of the Lion King now that reminds guests to have their WHOLE party with them before they get in line. Festival of the Lion King So, no holding spots for other people in your group! TriceraTop Spin The DinoLand ride was closed for a full day recently due to the excessive flooding seen in Disney World. No rides today Even though we saw major flooding in EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom was also affected! Scrat Tales Finally, the Ice Age sand sculpture at the front entrance of the park has been switched to a Scrat Tales sculpture in honor of the premiere of the upcoming Disney+ show!
