Happy Holidays from EPCOT! We’re eating our way through the park on the first day of this year’s Festival of the Holidays. It has already been quite the full morning in the park as we’ve browsed this year’s festival merchandise and learned that our favorite purple dragon Figment waits until after Thanksgiving to change into his holiday attire. But now, it’s time to EAT!

Festival of the Holidays Passport

Refreshment Port always adds a few specialty menu items for every EPCOT festival, so we stopped by to see what they had to offer this holiday season.

Menu

Refreshment Port is open year-round as a quick service food location at the entrance of EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Their menu this season is a mixture of both new and returning items! Let’s dive right in and see what Refreshment Port has in store for us at this year’s Festival of the Holidays.

Food

Refreshment Port’s new menu item this season is the Coquito Soft-Serve Waffle Cone for just $5.25. First off, let’s appreciate the fact that we have a new Disney World snack for just around $5!

Coquito Soft-Serve Waffle Cone

We thought the Soft Serve is absolutely fabulous!  We picked up on a strong Cinnamon flavor and it definitely tastes like Coquito. If you enjoy those flavors, this will definitely be a Festival of the Holidays standout for you (it certainly was for us!). Our day was off to a pretty stellar start if you ask us. Can we have this treat all year round? Pretty please?

Returning once again this season is Refreshment Port’s signature Turkey Poutine, which is a plate of French fries with turkey gravy, cranberry relish, and crispy onions. It costs $9.00 and made our Best of the Fest list in 2020!

You can also pick up Traditional Poutine at Refreshment Port without the turkey fixings for $7.50.

While we would have gladly ordered ten more of the Coquito Soft-serves, it was time to move on to beverages.

Beverages

Refreshment Port is offering a trio of NEW beverages at this year’s Festival of the Holidays! First is the 3 Daughters Brewing Cranberry Hard Cider for $9.75. If you’re more of a cocktail fan, you can sip on the Pumpkin Spice Ginger Cocktail for $11. It comes served in a plastic Moscow Mule cup, which makes for excellent Instagram photos.

This was another fabulous menu item at Refreshment Port! The ginger flavor was definitely the strongest flavor we noticed; in fact, we didn’t pick up on the pumpkin flavor much at all. Still, it’s not super sweet and you can definitely taste the alcohol — a big plus when you’re dropping $11 on a drink! Cocktails can be hit or miss at EPCOT’s festivals, but this one delivered!

Last but not least is the Coquito Soft-serve with Spiced Rum for $11. This is the same Coquito Soft-serve from before, just topped with spiced rum!

Coquito Soft-serve with Spiced Rum

While we LOVE the regular Soft-serve with the Waffle Cone and would totally order it again, we can’t say the same for the Spiced Rum version. We found it to be too strong to really enjoy, and those first few sips were basically drinking straight rum. We recommend you mix it together to avoid this, and once we did just that, we found it to be more enjoyable.

Overall

Overall, Refreshment Port really delivered at this year’s Festival of the Holidays! It offers returning favorites like the Turkey Poutine, and it also has NEW favorites for us this year! Both the Coquito Soft-serve and the Pumpkin Spice Ginger Cocktail are off to the races as lead contenders for this year’s Best of the Fest. We have plenty of other booths to try today, however, but the competition is already looking pretty fierce!
