Although the holiday snow is already on Disneyland’s Cinderella Castle, we’ve seen a sneak peek of holiday merchandise coming to the parks, and a new holiday store has opened, it is STILL TECHNICALLY HALLOWEEN SEASON!

Happy Halloween from Disneyland!

We’re still trying some of the amazing Halloween snacks around the resort, and we just found one that might seem basic at first — but it’s so much more.

The snack is Pumpkin Spiced Fritters — and yeah, we know, EVERYTHING is pretty much pumpkin-spiced this time of year (but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!). We’ve had pumpkin fritters in Disneyland before, but back in 2013 they were pumpkin squash fritters with actual pumpkin chunks in them. The ones we got today are a bit different.

More pumpkin spiced things

These little round balls of dough seem a little basic…

Basic?

…but hear us out. We actually liked these fritters more than we thought we would! These fritters weren’t overwhelmingly pumpkin spiced. There’s a little pumpkin flavor, but we actually tasted more of a cinnamon flavor when we bit into them.

Not too pumpkin spiced

And you can barely taste the pumpkin at all after dipping into that cream cheese!! Yes — the fritters are served with a Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce, and that’s what really took this snack up a notch! Y’all know we like to dip quite a few of our snacks in cheese, right? Except this time it’s not plastic cheese we’re after, it’s cream cheese! 😉

Cream CHEEEESSEEE

These simple little fritters with their yummy cream cheese sauce are actually one of the better Halloween snacks we’ve had at Disneyland this year. If you want to try them out for yourself, they’re available right now at Royal Street Veranda for $5.99.

We’ll keep trying more of the Halloween treats at Disneyland, so stay tuned for more reviews!
