While we’ve been telling you about all the ways you can celebrate 2020 in Disney World, we’re heading to Disneyland ‘cause there’s some extra Frozen magic crystallizing for the holiday!

During the 2020 Rose Parade, Disney will be a part of the first half-time show, featuring the national touring cast of Frozen the Musical!

In case you aren’t aware of the tradition, Pasadena has been hosting the annual Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day since 1890. While Walt Disney and his family grew up watching the parade in the 1930s, he officially became a part of it in 1938 with the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs float! Walt then starred in the Tournament of Roses again in 1955 with the Disneyland float, which happened to win the Judge’s Special Trophy that year (that a boy, Walt!!).

After the hit of the Disneyland float, the Rose Queen and her court have held events of honor at Disneyland each year. In fact, Walt himself became a part of the court when he served as the Grand Marshal of the 77th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade in 1966 with his best pal, Mickey Mouse! After Walt passed away, Disney has continued to have a presence in the parade each year, even creating the tallest float in Rose Parade history with The Tower of Terror float (live performers actually hung from elevators, you guys!!).

Buuut, this year, Disney is making history again as the Frozen the Musical cast joins together to perform “For the First Time in Forever” for… well, the first half-time show ever! After the song, multiple Cast Members will travel through the parade in stylish sleigh decorated by the FTD (or the Official Floral Company of the Tournament of Roses) with California grown flowers. They’re making the day a perfect day for us!!

You can tune in to the Rose Parade to catch the Frozen performance (and Kristoff’s decked out sleigh) on New Year’s Day at 8 AM PST on ABC!
