Disney releases some snazzy new merchandise (perhaps a popcorn bucket? maybe a tote bag?), and Disney fans FLOCK to stores to check it out. Speaking of new merchandise, January 12th marks the first official day of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and each new festival brings TONS of popular new souvenirs to Disney World. 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts Passport We’re just getting started at this year’s festival, but there already seems to be one HOT ticket item. And no — it isn’t a Loungefly bag or a pair of Minnie ears. Wait until you see the new item that is literally flying off the shelves. Yes, we know that the expression “This thing is flying off the shelves” is often used as a hyperbole, but we’re not kidding when we say that this new souvenir is selling out FAST. One moment, we were looking at a display full of bags…the next, they were GONE! This was full a moment ago and totally empty a moment later! This is a pretty big backpack! Here’s a closer look at the bag. Hey, Figgy! We’re loving all the little details on this new backpack! How fun! Doesn’t this remind you of all the classic, retro EPCOT details you can find around the park? That embroidery is so cool! This is SO EPCOT! The interior has a fun EPCOT-themed print. Since this is the Festival of the ARTS, we found a few artsy details, too! Backpack interior Currently, this appears to be an EPCOT-exclusive item, but if you’d like a Lug backpack of your own, we’ve got you covered! This one is more of a crossbody-style purse. Ta-da! If you can’t make it to EPCOT right now, we’ve got some good news! This bag is available online, too. UPDATE: A Cast Member informed us that the Lug Crossbody bag has sold out at Creations Shop, and we noticed that it’s sold out online as well. We’ll be watching for a re-stock, but the Cast Member warned us that it might not be back in stock in EPCOT until February.
