Disney4me Posted October 13, 2023 Report Posted October 13, 2023 Heads up â Disney World just got even MORE expensive. Welcome to Disney World! Four big changes were announced recently that could all affect your budget for your next Disney World trip. Some of these price increases are practically unavoidable, but there are a couple of ways to get around the others. Letâs dive in! This first change falls into the âpractically unavoidableâ category: if youâre planning to eat at Disney World restaurants, youâll notice some price increases on food throughout the resort. Food Price Increases Prices have increased at nearly every restaurant in Disney World. Dining Room at Cinderellaâs Royal Table Restaurants inside the theme parks, at the hotels, and in Disney Springs have all been impacted by these changes. Dining at âOhana Some of the most notable price increases occurred at character dining restaurants, including popular spots like Chef Mickeyâs, Cinderellaâs Royal Table, Be Our Guest, and âOhana (which only offers a character meal for breakfast). Chef Mickey is ready to welcome you! All of the Starbucks locations in Disney World saw price increases, so buying your morning coffee in the parks might be a bit more expensive now. Starbucks in Disney World Some iconic snacks like Mickey Pretzels and DOLE Whips are also pricier now. Click here to check out the price increases at Disney World hotel restaurants. One solution to this problem could be the Disney Dining Plan! Dining Plans return on January 9th, so if youâre visiting on or after that date, you can add them onto your vacation package. Full spread at Plaza Restaurant Youâll still want to price out the Dining Plan compared to what youâd normally spend in Disney World without the plan to make sure itâs really going to save you money. Itâs free to get your picture taken, but it costs money to actually download and save the pictures. You can pay by the download or purchase Memory Maker to pay for all those photos in advance. PhotoPass Photographers Memory Maker is a package that allows you to download all your PhotoPass and attraction photos that are taken throughout your trip, as well as the photos of anyone youâre friends with on the Disney World app. You can either do this for the length of your entire trip, or for one day. Disney PhotoPass photographers Disney just revealed some price increases for Memory Maker packages. Hereâs a breakdown of the changes: Advance purchase (buying Memory Maker before your trip begins): $185 â was previously $169 Regular price (buying Memory Maker during or after your trip): $210 â was previously $199 One day (buying Memory Maker for one day only): $75 â was $69 Thatâs a price increase of between $6 and $16, depending on which package you choose. ©Disney Luckily, this price increase is avoidable! Memory Maker is optional, and you donât have to add it to your Disney World trip. You can always ask PhotoPass photographers to take your picture using your phone or camera, and then you wonât have to pay for those photos. However, Memory Maker also includes attraction photos and Magic Shots, which you canât get with your own camera. Learn more about Memory Maker here! Parking Price Increases The cost to park at any of the four Disney World theme parks has gone up. This includes parking at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disneyâs Animal Kingdom, and Disneyâs Hollywood Studios. Hereâs a breakdown of the price increases: Standard parking (car or motorcycle): $30 per day â was previously $25 per day Preferred parking (car or motorcycle): $45, $50, or $55 per day (pricing is seasonal and varies by date) â was previously $45 to $50 per day Oversized vehicle parking (Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus, or Tractor Trailer): $35 per day â was previously $30 per day Parking So is this price increase avoidable? It depends on where youâre staying during your trip. Disney Resort hotel guests receive complimentary overnight self-parking at their hotel in addition to free standard parking at the theme parks! And if youâre staying at a Disney-owned hotel or one of the select Good Neighbor hotels, youâll be able to use their FREE transportation to get between the hotels and theme parks instead of driving your own car. Disney bus Another group that gets to park for free is Annual Passholders. Note that if youâre gonna opt into Preferred Parking or use one of the electric vehicle charging stations, you will still have to cover those extra fees; those arenât included with the free perk of an Annual Pass or a resort stay. Now, if youâre hoping to purchase a new pass, youâll be paying more than before, as price increases have impacted all four Annual Pass tiers. Disney World Annual Pass The new prices for Disney World Annual Passes are as follows: Incredi-Pass: $1449 (previously $1399) Sorcerer Pass: $999 (previously $969) Pirate Pass: $799 (previously $749) Pixie Dust Pass: $439 (previously $399) Thatâs an increase of $30-$50, depending on the pass type. Welcome to Disney World! Annual Passholder âGood to Goâ days will begin in January 2024. On these days, passholders will be able to enter the parks without a Park Pass Reservation. Disney notes that âthe theme park reservation calendar will be updated periodically and will show Passholders select days when they may visit a Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation.â That means that you can see the âGood to Goâ days on a rolling basis, so you wonât be able to see the whole year right away. Blockout dates still apply. Click here to learn more about Disney World Annual Passes.
