Disney4me Posted July 17, 2023 Report Posted July 17, 2023 Did you know Disneyland recently celebrated a very special event? Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Disney World just finished celebrating its 50th Anniversary and now The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year. But over in Disneyland, the park is celebrating its 68th Anniversary! Happy Birthday, Disneyland! We noticed that today was VERY busy in Disneyland right off the start because of the lines waiting for the trams into the park. So many people! The crowds didn’t thin out once we got into the park either. Even MORE people We made sure to get a good spot for the special 68th Birthday Cavalcade though, and many people had the same idea. The parade is here! The parade started out with a float filled with some of our favorite characters — Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale! Happy 68th birthday, Disneyland! This is a special celebratory cavalcade today with Mickey and friends! pic.twitter.com/zmcjiHgfSI — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) July 17, 2023 And then we spotted the Dapper Dans and a few other characters on one of Disneyland’s Main Street vehicles. Dapper Dans Then the Disneyland band was quick to follow. The band We also got to see some more characters like Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Merida, and Pocahontas! Hey Genie! The whole parade was wrapped up with a big cake float that wished a Happy 68th Birthday to the original park. A cake tied it all together So we’re wishing a very Happy Birthday to Disneyland!
