Grand Floridian Resort There are so many hotels to choose from when you go on a Disney World vacation, but how do you know what’s going on at each hotel? We’ve got lists of our favorite hotels, but we also do a roundup of recent info every week or so to keep you updated on EXACTLY what’s happening, so let’s get into it! Disney’s BoardWalk Resort Construction Updates Over at the Luna Park Pool, construction is still in progress on the slide. Slide construction The resort’s lobby bathroom is also still under construction. Construction on the bathroom lobby And to no one’s surprise, the Funnel Cake Stand is still closed! No one home… And construction is still going well over at the Cake Bake Shop! It’s coming along! That’s what’s happening over at the BoardWalk! Swan & Dolphin Resorts Construction Updates Over at the Dolphin Resort, there’s a lot of pressure washing, cleaning, and construction around the exterior entrance of the resort — the balconies are even being affected! Lots of construction! Scaffolding is also surrounding the sculptures at the top of the hotel. Tons of scaffolding We spotted construction happening on the new restaurant, Rosa Mexicano. Construction is right beyond that curtain! Over at the Swan Resort, we noticed that the area by the rock wall that usually has shaded pool chairs is also currently under construction. The bathrooms are still open, though! What’s going on over here? So yes, this resort has a LOT going on. Food Updates As for food updates, at Java you can grab the Mocha Kiss Frappe… Mocha Kiss Frappe …and the P.S. I Love You Milkshake at The Fountain! Yum! Lots of sugar, and we LOVE it. Merchandise Updates At Disney Planning and Gifts, we spotted two new items — the Mickey & Co Kids Shirt for $29.99… Mickey & Co Kids Shirt …and the Minnie Kids Shirt for $26.99! Minnie Kids Shirt Time to move on! Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Merchandise Updates Over at The Market at Ale & Compass, we found a few new items! First up was the Tommy Bahama Mickey Shirt for a whopping $140! Yacht Club Tommy Bahama Mickey Shirt There’s also a Yacht Club Shirt for $29.99… Yacht Club Shirt …a Mickey Pet Collar for $19.99… Mickey Pet Collar …a beautiful Alex and Ani Moana Bracelet for $59.99… Alex and Ani Moana Bracelet …new Cars Swim Trunks for $24.99… Cars Swim Trunks …and lastly, Mickey Mouse Swim Trunks for $24.99! Mickey Mouse Swim Trunks And that was all at Yacht Club! Beach Club Resort Food Updates We spotted a cute Valentine’s Day Cupcake over at Beach Club Marketplace! Valentine’s Day Cupcake Who doesn’t love a good Disney cupcake? Entertainment Updates For Mardi Gras, the resort played The Princess and the Frog on a blow-up screen and had a cute Mardi Gras photo set up in a blow-up tent next to it. Screening for Mardi Gras! We thought it was such a fun way to celebrate! Disney’s Riviera Resort Food Updates Over at Riviera Resort, we found out that you can no longer order a second entree as a side at the resort’s restaurants! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Construction Updates Big progress is being made on the new DVC Villas coming to this resort — the first wall is starting to go up! The wall is UP! It’s so great to see so much progress being made on this project after it sat with little change for a lot of last year. Merchandise Updates Over at Moana Mercantile, we spotted a few new items like the Moana Plush for $26.99… Moana Plush …the Stitch Bathing Shirt for $24.99… Stitch Bathing Shirt …the Stitch Bathing Shorts for $24.99… Stitch Bathing Shorts …and the Stitch Girls Bathing Suit for $24.99!
