If you weren’t paying attention Tuesday because you were, well, at school, at work, shopping, parenting, cleaning, doing laundry, and just living life … we’ve got some HUGE NEWS for you. ©Disney | TRON Lightcycle / Run is opening SOON! In fact, it’s our JOB to pay attention, and even we couldn’t keep up! We’re rounding up EVERY news bomb Disney dropped on us yesterday, and … Disney World and Disneyland fans, have we got NEWS for you! End Date for Harmonious in EPCOT EPCOT’s current nighttime spectacular — Harmonious — is going away. Disney has announced that the LAST performance of Harmonious will be April 2nd, 2023! We’ll be saying goodbye to Harmonious in EPCOT. An all-new nighttime spectacular will be debuting at EPCOT later this year, but Disney has been keeping the details and timing of the new show pretty under wraps. Get more details on the end of Harmonious here. Goodbye, Barges! That’s right! The closing of Harmonious means those view-blocking barges and platforms in World Showcase Lagoon will be leaving in “a phased removal,” according to Disney. Harmonious Barges Even most folks who loved Harmonious didn’t enjoy the site of these barges, which housed custom-built LED panels, moving fountains, lights and lasers, and some pyrotechnics for the show. Grab more details on the removal of the Harmonious barges here. EPCOT Forever is Returning So what’s going to go on at night in EPCOT without Harmonious? Disney has shared that a former nighttime spectacular — EPCOT Forever — will be returning for a limited run starting April 3rd! EPCOT Forever Concept Art ©Disney During the D23 Expo in 2022, Disney announced that EPCOT would be getting a NEW nighttime spectacular in 2023. EPCOT Forever is returning until Disney is ready to introduce the new show. Here’s more information on the return of EPCOT Forever. TRON Lightcycle / Run Opening Date We now know when you will be able to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run — the new roller coaster in Magic Kingdom at Disney World! The opening date will be April 4th, 2023! TRON Lightcycle / Run construction — Early January 2023 TRON will be one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world! Annual Passholder Previews for TRON Lightcycle / Run Disney Vacation Club Member Previews for TRON Lightcycle / Run Cast Member Previews for TRON Lightcycle / Run End Date for Disney Enchantment in Magic Kingdom It’s not just EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular that is changing in 2023. We also now know the end date for the Magic Kingdom show, Disney Enchantment. Disney Enchantment The last performance of Disney Enchantment will be April 2nd, 2023! Opening Date Announced for Happily Ever After But don’t worry — you will still be seeing fireworks in Magic Kingdom after Disney Enchantment closes. Happily Ever After — a fan favorite nighttime spectacular — is returning! Happily Ever After The first night for Happily Ever After’s return is April 3rd, 2023! The classic show is coming back with all-new projections that will be seen down Main Street, U.S.A. Grab more info on Happily Ever After here. Changes to Park Pass Reservations for Annual Passholders Disney World is making some changes to its Park Pass Reservations sytem that will result in less work — and less planning — for annual passholders! Annual Passholder Magnet On weekdays, passholders will be able to enter the parks without a Park Pass Reservation — after 2PM. Disney has not said WHEN this change will go into effect, and we’re sure there will be some exceptions, but it is a rollback that many passholders have been asking for. Click here for what we know about the Park Pass Reservation System Change. FREE Overnight Hotel Parking We have not seen Disney World LOWER very many prices, but Tuesday, they did just that. Overnight self-parking is now FREE again for Disney World hotel guests. FREE PhotoPass Downloads with Genie+ More free stuff? Yep! Disney announced that in the coming months, it will become free for guests who purchase Disney Genie+ to download attraction photos taken that day. On-ride Photo for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind That means you can download photos from Space Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Test Track, Expedition Everest and more for FREE if you have Disney Genie+ that day! Florida Resident Room Discounts Disney World also dropped a new discount for Florida residents on Tuesday! Contemporary Resort rooms The deal is valid for up to 30% off of your hotel stay at a Disney World resort, available most nights from May 1st-July 10th, 2023. ALL guests at Disneyland will be able to download attraction photos for free! Radiator Springs Racers This perk will be included with your park ticket beginning February 4th, 2023. Disney says this deal is part of the Disney100 celebration — so it looks like it will only be around for a limited time. Get more information on free PhotoPass downloads at Disneyland here. More $104 Ticket Offers at Disneyland Disney has announced that throughout 2023, there will be nearly two months’ worth of dates where a one-day, one-park ticket is just $104 at Disneyland Resort. That’s the lowest ticket price currently offered. Disneyland Park Keep in mind that the ticket price will increase on days that are projected to be busier and you’ll have to pay more if you want to get a Park Hopper ticket.
