This Payment Issue Could Catch You Off Guard in Disney World

There are lots of times when you’ll need to whip out that credit card during your Disney World trip.

For one, you’ve got to buy your park tickets to actually get in and experience the magic, and then you’ve got to decide where you’re staying (unfortunately you can’t sleep in Disney World parks). Your first thought may be to use your credit/debit card to pay (and maybe you rely just on your MagicBand to pay since they can be connected to your cards), but there are a few reasons why you should always carry multiple forms of payment with you. If you don’t, you may not be able to get your caffeine fix in the parks!

Currently, Joffrey’s coffee shop locations in Disney World are struggling a little bit with taking a few forms of payment, specifically MagicBands and Disney Rewards.

We’ve spoken to Cast Members at a few Joffrey’s locations in the parks who shared with us that while all locations still do accept these forms of payment, internet problems cause their systems to go down frequently, rendering them unable to accept one or both of these forms of payment.

Oftentimes, guests have their credit or debit cards linked to their MagicBands and may not bring their cards into the park. If you do that, it could cause a problem during your next Joffrey’s run!

We’ve seen other issues with Disney’s systems in the past, so we recommend always carrying some cash with you as well. There are ATMs located around Disney World, but having some with you means you don’t have to waste some of your precious park time grabbing the cash.
