Disney4me Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays has begun and we’re bringing you live updates! Decorations Festival days in EPCOT can be long, so that’s why we love to caffeinate! One popular place to grab a cup of coffee year-round in Disney World is Joffrey’s Coffee, but the EPCOT locations have a few special menu items for the Festival of the Holidays! Let’s check it out. Menu This year, Joffrey’s is offering the same drink at each location — the Horchata Cold Brew! You’ll find locations at World Discovery, World Showcase Promenade, between the United Kingdom and Canada pavilions, and The American Adventure pavilion. 2022 Menu The drink is brand new to the festival this year (though we did see a Horchata Cold Brew over at Disneyland) and we’ve been looking forward to trying it. There’s also an Annual Passholder-exclusive drink for those who qualify. Let’s go try them both! Drinks The Horchata Cold Brew is made with a holly jolly blend of Joffrey’s Shakin’ Jamaican Cold Brew and horchata topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. It’s available for $6.49 or if you want to add Bacardí Coquito Coconut Cream Liqueur, it will cost you $13.99. Horchata Cold Brew We got the non-alcoholic version of the drink and we were VERY excited to try it, but, sadly, it was a disappointment. The drink separated very quickly, with the cream and cinnamon sinking all the way to the bottom. Once we mixed it up, it wasn’t much better. Unfortunately, it just tasted like cinnamon that hadn’t really dissolved well into the drink, which made it almost grainy in terms of texture. Not ideal. Festival coffee anyone? For those who are unfamiliar with it, the Food Network shares that horchata is a “favorite Mexican beverage.” It is typically a plant-based milk that has been sweetened and sometimes flavored. According to our team member, the best way to describe it is that it tastes how lotion smells. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our ideal drink, but if you love horchata and these flavor combinations, it might be the drink for you. If you try it, definitely tell us about your experience in the comments below! Not a Win For Us, But You May Like It! But wait, there’s ONE more thing we’ve got to talk about. In addition to the Horchata Cold Brew, there’s another special treat of Joffrey’s locations during the festival — an Annual Passholder drink! This drink is called the Happy Snowman frozen cocktail and it can be found at various Joffrey’s locations in EPCOT. It’s made with frozen lemon and blue-curaçao-flavored syrup, along with a splash of Grey Goose vodka. It’s priced at $13.99. This drink was VERY, VERY sweet! It had a strong blueberry flavor with an underlying taste of lemonade and was super cold (great for a hot day), but melted quickly. Happy Snowman Our team member who tried it shared that they loved the drink, but it was extremely sweet, so drinking the entire thing might be too much for those who really don’t enjoy sweet drinks. Also, be sure you like blue raspberry-type flavors before picking up one of these! Overall While we’ve had some spectacular Joffrey’s Coffee drinks in the past, the Horchata Cold Brew just didn’t do it for us this year. The drink separated quickly and didn’t really get better when mixed. The AP-exclusive drink was better, but was very sweet so just be prepared for that!
