Disney4me Posted October 26, 2022 Report Posted October 26, 2022 Disney World — it’s all about the rides, the shows, the merchandise, and the characters right? WRONG! While Disney is full of all of the great things we just mentioned, it’s also home to SO. MUCH. MORE. Amorette’s Patisserie Disney World could become your foodie paradise with once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences. Or you could use your trip to swim with dolphins, get a behind-the-scenes look at certain GIANT animals, or even learn some archery! If you’re a fan of sweet treats, we’ve got some good news about a unique experience you won’t want to miss! The Cake Decorating Experience is finally coming BACK to Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs! If you’re unfamiliar with it, this is a special experience that allows you to decorate your own little delicious masterpiece — typically a Mickey Dome Cake (though sometimes another cake is chosen) — under the careful supervision of a chef from Amorette’s! The experience is set to return in November of 2022, though no exact date was shared with us yet. The exact date will be shared in the future so guests can know when they’ll be able to book online. We’ll keep an eye out for that and tell you all the information you need to know once it’s released! We Get to Decorate a Cake To Make It Look Like THIS! We were invited by Disney and Amorette’s to a media preview of the return of this experience. Curious to know how much this costs and what it includes? Well, sit back, relax, and join us on this cake-decorating adventure! We started by learning all about our teacher and their dessert experience. This morning, we got a first look at the Amorette’s Cake Decorating class at Disney Springs! Before we got to the class itself, we learned a bit about our teacher. Sound on for this one!#mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass @DisneySprings pic.twitter.com/5yIvOOMRvV — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 The Cake Decorating Experience isn’t a show though — it’s a truly interactive, hands-on experience that puts YOU and your cake at the center of the action. So after learning a bit about our teacher, it was time to get started! The blank canvas Any guesses on which character our cake is gonna resemble? #mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass @DisneySprings pic.twitter.com/re4UEMfA3o — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 Our cake started out as just a little white dome, but it would soon become much more! We Are READY! At the table, you’ll find all the tools you’ll need to make this masterpiece… They’ve Got Everything You Need …including some accessories! The Accessories! These also start out in a plain color, but you’ll get to paint them to be just right for Mickey’s classic look. We can’t forget the accessories! #mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass @DisneySprings pic.twitter.com/4KuEyYwAvA — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 First, we poured the red base on our cake. It’s already looking SO good! First things first: the base Let’s give it up for our reporter and this awesome ASMR pour!#mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass @DisneySprings pic.twitter.com/eKhe3jrKVF — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 Then it was time to do some painting! Starting to add some color to the additional pieces #mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass @DisneySprings pic.twitter.com/9EnAxyz4Ct — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 The ears got a black color, as did the little tail piece. And we got to paint those two ovals yellow. They’re Ready Now! Then it was time to do some assembling. Cake Decorators: Assemble! Ears? Check! Our cake is starting to take shape! Ears are on and we’re ready to put on the finishing touches. #mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass @DisneySprings pic.twitter.com/yhwU0GDARz — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 And after just a few more steps…we had a little Mickey cake of our very own! SO FUN! In the end, you might even get to see your cake in the display case as it stays cool. Staying Cool! Someone call Paul Hollywood, we need a handshake for this creation! In terms of price, the Cake Decorating Experience will set you back $199 per table — each table can have 2 guests (so you and friend/family member could share that cost). The $199 cost includes all-you-care-to-enjoy beverages plus 1 cake. You can add on an additional cake for $50. It is limited to guests ages 5 and up, so just keep that in mind. Voilà! We made our very own Mickey Mouse dome cake at the Amorette’s Cake Decorating class @DisneySprings How’d we do?#mediaevent #disneysprings #dscakeclass pic.twitter.com/mtFcuiz5eV — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) October 26, 2022 Remember you do get to take that cake home, so this could be a great way to celebrate a birthday AND get a birthday cake all at the same time! It’s All Ours! The $199 cost also includes a new exclusive pin only given to guests who take a class. Cake Artist! All in all, this is a really unique experience that we have thoroughly enjoyed in the past and we really enjoyed it once again! It is pricey at $199, but if you split that cost with another family member or friend, and factor in the cost of the drinks and cake, it might be worth it for you. If you’ll be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, engagement, or another special occasion, it could be a fun way to add a unique experience to your trip. What do you think about this class? We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. We were invited by Amorette’s Patisserie and Disney to attend their media preview of the return of cake decorating classes. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
