Disney4me Posted March 11, 2022 Report Posted March 11, 2022 No matter how much you plan for your Disney World vacation, things can still go wrong that you have no control over. Rain in Disney World The weather can shut down rides, the crowds can be bonkers, or the snack you’ve been wanting to try for weeks isn’t available any more. That’s when you just gotta deal with the cards you’re dealt and readjust! Because even Disney has technical difficulties from time to time, which is what shut down one show in the parks today. Festival of the Lion King has closed for the day in Animal Kingdom. Closed for the day The show was open earlier today… The show was running this morning …with showtimes being listed until 5PM. Earlier showtimes But, around 1PM, a reader (@kaitlin.dlc) informed us on Instagram that the showtimes for the rest of the day has disappeared on My Disney Experience, so went back over to the area to check out what was going on. No more shows Cast Members told us they are having technical difficulties with the set and will not be reopening for the rest of the day. Try again tomorrow (maybe!) Be aware that even though the sign at Tusker House says there are afternoon showtimes, that is not accurate anymore. The times just haven’t been removed from the sign yet. Don’t rely on this sign! Hopefully the show will be back open tomorrow, so stay tuned to DFB for news and updates. Click here to see what’s new in Animal Kingdom!
