Disney4me Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 It’s hard to beat Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa when it comes to Christmas cheer during the holiday season. Grand Gingerbread House This hotel is known for STUNNING Christmas decorations like a massive tree in the lobby. But the REAL winner of Grand Flo Christmas decor is the grand gingerbread house the pops up this time of year! Now, we’ve got a progress update! We’ve already spotted some progress on the grand gingerbread house! The frame arrived at the resort earlier this week and pastry chefs were hard at work with the construction. Today, we spotted that they’ve started adding the actual gingerbread. Grand Gingerbread House Pastry chefs were hard at work on all sides of the house adding SO MANY gingerbread cookies to the exterior of the house. Grand Gingerbread House We especially love the heart-shaped cookies that line the edges of the roof! Grand Gingerbread House The structure is already looking quite impressive and it doesn’t even have all the fun bits and decorations yet. Grand Gingerbread House We did spot that the windows have adorable little vignettes included. There’s one of Mickey and Minnie… Grand Gingerbread House …one of Tiana and Naveen… Grand Gingerbread House …and one of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet! Grand Gingerbread House If you go around the backside of the house you can see that the Gingerbread Counter is coming along as well! We can’t WAIT to snag some gingerbread treats from this ACTUAL snack kiosk. Grand Gingerbread House We’re excited to see the completed house and we’ll be sure to bring you along with us when we do spot the finished product! Keep an eye on DFB so you don’t miss any updates!
