Disney4me Posted May 4, 2021 Report Posted May 4, 2021 May the 4th is a pretty exciting day for Star Wars fans! Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Why? Because it’s Star Wars Day! Get it? May the FOURTH be with you. We’ve been snacking on a whole slew of intergalactic treats already today like the Galactic Swirl Funnel Cake (and even wielding some Lightsaber CHURROS), but now we’re headed over to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to see how they’re celebrating! As a part of the celebrations, we get to reunite with an old favorite space treat of ours — the Oi-Oi Puff! Oi-Oi Puff To celebrate Black Spire Day (that’s Star Wars Day right here on Batuu!), you can pick up this Raspberry Cream Puff with Passion Fruit Mousse. Celebrate Black Spire Day! The Oi-Oi Puff was a dessert option at Docking Bay 7 when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge first opened but has been unavailable for some time. Is the Force still with the Oi-Oi Puff? We loved this puff when we first had it and certainly wonder if it still holds up. Here’s the Oi-Oi Puff from Docking Bay 7 in Hollywood Studios! #StarWarsDay pic.twitter.com/l86IIBTcII — AJ Wolfe (@DisneyFoodBlog) May 4, 2021 Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs runs the kitchen here at the Docking Bay, and you can see that he’s plated the Oi-Oi Puff with a “matcha micro sponge” (almost like bread bits) and raspberry glaze, and he tops it with a sparkling chocolate medallion boasting the Black Spire Outpost logo. Oi-Oi Puff In fact, the cream puff cake itself is also made with matcha for it’s green hue and unique texture. And those are black sesame seeds you spy on top. Two things about the Oi-Oi Puff: 1. It’s HUGE. 2. It’s heavy… because this thing is PACKED with raspberry cream! WHOA!!! TONS of Raspberry Cream It’s also incredibly tasty! The passion fruit mousse on top is just sweet enough without being too sugary. It’s such a nice burst of fresh fruit flavors complementing the cream puff. Oi-Oi Puff Now, it IS a little messy… Oi-Oi Puff But really, it’s not too bad since it’s nicely plated and you’ll get silverware. (Plus, you could always buy your own Space Spork here to help you out!) One final look at the Oi-Oi Puff… ’til we meet again… Honestly? We kiiiiinda wish the Oi-Oi Puff had made the cut for the regular dessert offerings over the chocolate Batuu-bon that’s regularly available here, since it’s our favorite of the two. The Oi-Oi Puff, alas, is only available on May 4th and 5th so hurry over if you want to snag it! You’ll spot it on the Docking Bay 7 menu for $6.49.
