Disneyland’s Annual Passholder program has been around for decades and many guests have been left wondering if anything will replace it following its discontinuation. Well, it seems that a new replacement program is currently in development.

A new replacement “membership offering” is in the works, according to The Orange County Register. Disneyland President, Ken Potrock, shared in an interview that the opinions of previous Passholders will be taken into consideration when creating this new program.

Some of the factors to be considered involve frequency of pass use, price, and spontaneity of park trips. Additionally, previous and potential Passholders will be asked about the specific times of the day, week, and year that they’d prefer to use the new program.

Potrock questioned, “What do people want in this new world? When do they want to access our parks? How frequently do they want to access our parks? With what level of spontaneity? With what level of value? All of those kinds of things and many more.” These are the things to be considered when developing the new program.

Potrock shared that the new replacement program is already in development, although Disneyland still remains closed indefinitely. The goal of this new program is to cater to the largest number of people possible while ensuring that attendance of both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is spread out appropriately.

The new program will be designed to promote choice and flexibility while offering new experiences and features. Potrock shared that they are incredibly interested to hear from guests to determine what the new membership program should include.
