Disney4me Posted December 7, 2020 Report Posted December 7, 2020 When thinking about dining for your next Walt Disney World trip, definitely don’t sleep on the resort restaurant options! California Grill Lounge Some of the best food on property is available at the Disney resort hotels, so if you have the time and it’s practical, we encourage you to make some dining reservations outside of the parks. Exclusive to the resorts, you have some fun options, like the character meal at Topolino’s Terrace, an amazing view from California Grill at the Contemporary, and the wacky antics of the servers at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Today, we stopped by one of our favorite Disney resort restaurants, and we happened to stumble upon a secret menu item! We made a visit to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa today to catch up on the latest! Of course, the lobby looked as stunning as ever, decked out for the holidays, but that’s not what we’re here for this time… Grand Floridian lobby …we’re here for some FOOD! We visited the Grand Floridian Cafe, one of our favorite (and underrated) resort dining locations in Walt Disney World. Grand Floridian Cafe And today we were blessed with a delicious surprise — a secret menu item! It’s tomato bisque! Secret Menu Tomato Soup Of course, we couldn’t resist ordering, and we were NOT disappointed! This was the perfect dish for a cold and rainy day in Florida — full of warm and creamy tomato-y goodness. Secret Menu Tomato Soup I mean, would ya just take a look at that?! It’s truly a culinary masterpiece! For $11, you can also have this yummy view. Secret Menu Seasonal Soup from the Grand Floridian Cafe – review coming soon!!! pic.twitter.com/htsu87fm52 — AJ Wolfe (@DisneyFoodBlog) December 7, 2020 The soup is made with tomato puree and chicken stock, topped with a crème Fraiche, toast point, and scallions. The flavor of the soup wasn’t overpowering or too spiced, it was excellent for a simple and delicious lunch! Secret Menu Tomato Soup In fact, we loved this soup SO MUCH that we were actually really sad to know that it’s a seasonal option. We’d really love if it would stick around all year — it could make a great soup and sandwich combo. You can tell how much we liked it by taking a look at our empty bowl! Secret Menu Tomato Soup If you’re a tomato soup fan, then hurry over to the Grand Floridian Cafe before this one is gone! Since this is a secret menu option, you will need to ask the Cast Member for it! We’ll be on the lookout for more seasonal menu items, as well as any secret menu items we can find.
