Disney4me Posted November 27, 2020 Report Posted November 27, 2020 Are you ready for more foodie fun at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays?? We’re prepped and ready to give you ALL the food reviews for the theme park’s flagstone Christmas fest! Shanghai Holiday Kitchen The Shanghai Holiday Kitchen has made a glorious return to the event. The food kiosk is located at the China Pavilion and is known to fill up guests with dishes inspired by the country. Some dishes are new, some have returned, and others (including one of our favorites!) have gone missing! Take a food-filled journey with us and see what we thought of this year’s Shanghai Holiday Kitchen menu! TWO new dishes have debuted at the China Pavilion’s holiday food kiosk. This year, we’re digging into the new Red-Stewed Beef Rice Bowl and the Curry Chicken Rice Bowl. Loads of rice is always nice! Shanghai Holiday Kitchen Menu Food The Curry Chicken Rice Bowl is available for $8 and is a pretty solid portion as festival dishes go. Curry Chicken Rice Bowl Honestly, this bowl is SO great. There’s a ton of pepper and it has a kick — like a REAL kick. This is definitely an option if you want something a little spicy! Curry Chicken Rice Bowl The other new rice bowl option is the Red-Stewed Beef Rice Bowl for $9.50. Wowza! Shanghai Holiday Kitchen sure is killing it when it comes to the portion sizes. Red Stewed Beef Rice Bowl The beef was crazy tender, it falls right apart when you bite into it. Our complaint with these bowls is that our rice wasn’t the best — kinda mushy — but the quality of the meats makes them winners in our book. Red Stewed Beef Rice Bowl The House-Made Crab and Cheese Wontons are usually available during the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. The crispy, cheesy fried wontons are now available at the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen! The delightful dish is filled with cream cheese and flavorful crab for a tasty snack for $6! House-made Crab and Cheese Wontons from Flower and Garden Festival Beverages The beverage menu features a lot of returning holiday drinks from last year! This includes the “Panda” Bubble Tea, which is a classic milk tea served with black and white boba for $7.50. The Bubble Tea is milky and sweet while the boba adds a fun texture to your tea drink! Panda Bubble Tea Wanna spike your Bubble Tea? The $12.50 Marco Boba is made with Amaretto, iced coffee, milk, and boba! It’s got a balance of strong coffee, sweet Amaretto, and tapioca boba for texture. Marco Boba, 2019 Let’s turn up the sweetness in your holiday cocktail! The Lucky Mo is mixed with Peach Schnapps, peach syrup, orange juice, and Pina Colada Mix. The ingredients are slightly different from last year’s cocktail that came with pineapple juice and coconut milk. The Lucky Mo 2019 Last on the cocktail list, is the Dragonfly! The holiday drink is made with Jose Cuervo Tequila Gold, vodka, mango syrup, and orange juice. Holy moly! This drink was STRONG. If you’re looking for smooth, look elsewhere, but if you want the taste of liquor…this is the drink for you! The Dragonfly There’s also the Tsingtao Lager, which is a popular beer in and out of the states! It’s a light and bubbly beer that’s great for the warm Florida winter weather! Tsingtao Lager Another option for beer drinkers is Jasmine Draft Beer! Another light beer option for your holiday adventures in EPCOT! 2019 Jasmine Draft Beer Overall, this booth was a pretty nice stop! You can’t really beat a spread like that! Oh, you know, just one of our FAVORITE snacks from last year. The Chengdu Street Fries were a yummy blend of spices sauces, green onions, crunchy peanuts, and fried crispy goodness. We did get to try a version during the Food and Wine Festival so we can’t get be too greedy! Keep following along with us for MORE Festival of the Holiday reviews here!
