Animal Kingdom Tree of Life And we LOVE seeing all the animals, especially the cute little baby animals born at the park. But one part of the park where we could see smaller animals has been closed since Disney World reopened. Today, though, we noticed this area was open again! We’re talking about the research building portion of Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. This spot takes you inside to look at the smaller animals, like the naked mole rats, turtles, snakes, and lizards! Line at Gorilla Falls A Cast Member told us they had been experimenting for a few weeks on how best to let guests into the area, while also maintaining social distancing. We were told if it gets too crowded, the area may close again, though. Look, a turtle! Turtle at Gorilla Falls And as we previously mentioned, we said hello to those sweet little naked mole rats. Naked Mole Rats Of course, Gorilla Falls is known mostly for its gorillas, and this area remains open to guests who want to see the gorilla family. The line can be bypassed, though, for those who aren’t interested. From what we’ve seen, the line can get pretty long at times. Line to see Gorillas at Gorilla Falls But how could you skip this?
