We’ve been traveling around EPCOT to see all of the new merchandise, construction updates, and of course, to check in on some of our favorite dining spots! So, let’s take a stroll around the world (and the future)! EPCOT Construction Updates Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Of ALL the new things planned for EPCOT, the new Guardians of the Galaxy-themed roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which is going in the Universe of Energy pavilion, where Ellen’s Energy Adventure previously stood. While walking around, we noticed that they were doing some construction on the roof. Roof construction on Cosmic Rewind Previously, the roof was tiled with solar panels, and while we can’t see exactly what we’re doing, we do see a similar look as before. Mexico Pavilion The Mexico Pavilion is all inside, and on days when EPCOT gets really busy, social distancing procedures have to be put in place. To help aid in that, we noticed new social distancing markers on the ground outside of Mexico. Social distancing markers in Mexico So, when EPCOT is swarming, you’ll have to stand on these blue lines in order to get margs from La Cava del Tequila or to take a ride down the river on The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. China Pavilion Like Mexico, we also noticed new social distancing signs on the ground over at the China Pavilion. China Pavilion social distance markers These arrows are to help the flow of traffic before entering the shops. Pin Traders Pin Traders has OFFICIALLY moved under Spaceship Earth. The move seems to be permanent, as EPCOT has installed new Pin Traders signage. Pin Traders The Camera Center hasn’t moved though — it’s just sharing a space with Pin Traders. New signs for the Camera Center have also been installed. Camera Center But that’s not ALL we saw at this spot! EPCOT Merchandise Updates Pin Traders EPCOT Forever and other nighttime shows may be on pause right now due to the global health crisis, but you can still get some EPCOT Forever merchandise, like this new limited edition EPCOT Forever MagicBand. MouseGear There are NEW prizes available for the Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt! The four new water bottles have arrived at MouseGear! Remy’s Hide and Squeak Challenge prize water bottles To get one of these water bottles, you must complete the Ratatouille-themed scavenger hunt, which costs $7.99 to participate in! And after looking for Remy and all of his ingredients around World Showcase, you’ll get one of these kid-sized water bottles. Just LOOK at this super sweet Minnie Mouse water bottle! Chef Minnie water bottle SPEAKING of Minnie Mouse, fans of this gal will be delighted by this new Minnie Mouse dots collection we spotted. Like this big bow backpack, which also features a red and white polka dotted pocket. This backpack is $39.99. THAT BOW THOUGH! If you like a more cartoony style, this white Minnie Mouse backpack with polka dots and a bow that looks like it’s right from a comic strip might just be for you! Like the other backpack, this one is $39.99. Minnie Mouse white backpack If you’re not walking around the parks and need a full backpack, maybe consider this little Minnie Mouse crossbody bag, featuring her beautiful bow! The Fjording If you can’t travel with your friends right now, and those friends just HAPPEN to love Elsa from Frozen, well, The Fjording (a.k.a., the store in the Norway Pavilion) has ya covered. Germany Pavilion Further along in World Showcase, we spotted new Biergarten merch! We’ve spotted a TON of beer-themed shirts in Germany lately, and there’s no sign of this stuff slowing down. Rock this yellow Prost shirt and cheers with your liter of beer! Prost! In case you weren’t positive where this shirt was from, this $44.99 long-sleeved shirt also features the German flag on the sleeve. Prost shirt details And what’s a long-sleeve top without a matching hat? This Prost! hat matches perfectly. Prost! Hat! It reps Biergarten on one side… Biergarten hat …and Germany on the other. This hat is $19.99. EPCOT Restaurant Updates Tangerine Cafe Between the Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, quick service spots, and one of the few character dining experiences open now at Disney World, there are TONS of dining options at EPCOT. However, Tangerine Cafe is not one of them. This quick service spot in the Morocco pavilion has been CLOSED since early this month. And it’s still unavailable.
