The nearly 120 Custodial Cast Members that return to work on Friday May 15 will experience a new health protocol that will be a part of every Guest and Cast Member experience starting on May 20.

As we know, all guests and Cast Members will be required to wear masks. And according to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney will provide each employee with three washable masks.

In addition, Guests will have their temperature screened, although the report does not dictate what temperature threshold is required in order to enter the premises.

There will also be reduced touch and contact points between guests and Cast Members. Guests will no longer hand their credit card to Cast Members and must swipe their own cards at all registers. Guests can also expect to see plexiglass dividers around registers at some Disney Springs locations.

Custodial Cast Members will be retrained in regards to these high-touch areas. In addition to this training, a new “global training program” for Cast Members will be available.

When it comes to Disney World theme park health protocol, Eric Clinton, president of UNITE HERE, Local 362, pointed out that when it comes to the reopening of Shanghai Disneyland, “what you see there is a lot of what you’ll see here.” Shanghai Disneyland implemented temperature checks, the requirement of face masks, and physical distancing guidelines, on top of their reduced capacity when they reopened on May 11.
