Oh Disney World. You give us SO MANY delicious snacks. How could we possibly choose a favorite? (Oh wait…I guess we already did!)

Cinderellas-Castle_01-450x600.jpg

Cinderella Castle

But if we could only pick ONE land in the Magic Kingdom, which would reign supreme? We’re ranking them ALL right here!

We’re starting at the bottom and working our way to the tippy top! Maestro — cue the drum roll, please!

disney-world-magic-kingdom-main-street-u

Main Street, U.S.A

And just a fair warning: to preserve the integrity of our usually unbiased opinion when it comes to ranking stuff, some of these decisions were almost too close to call! This was like trying to choose a favorite child! But with much blood, sweat, and even the occasional tear, our team persevered even when the margin seemed impossibly narrow! With that being said, let’s get on to the mouth-watering, delicious RESULTS!

7th Place: Tomorrowland

You can’t make us say anything bad about the food in Tomorrowland, but what kind of ranking would this be if we didn’t actually RANK the lands? Truth be told, we didn’t want to do it Tomorrowland (after everything you’ve done for us!), but unfortunately, last place seemed about right — oh, but it STILL weighs heavy on our collective consciences!

New-Tomorrowland-Sign-7-448x600.jpg

Tomorrowland Entrance

Despite being the Land of Tomorrow, the food isn’t very cutting edge or innovative. They just don’t have those you-can-only-get-that-in-Tomorrowland snacks like some other lands. You’ll see what we mean shortly.

The Lunching Pad

Back during Mickey’s 90th Anniversary shindig, you could find the colossal Celebration Mickey Donut at The Lunching Pad. Ah yes, those were the good ol’ days! After moving temporarily to Cheshire Cafe and Main Street Bakery, the donut completely disappeared from Disney World — and hasn’t been spotted SINCE!

Strawberry-Mickey-Donut_Lunching-Pad_19-

Mickey Celebration Donut

Now the menu consists primarily of Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzels (which we’re not complaining about), Churros, and Hot Dogs — none of it bad, but all pretty standard for Disney park fare.

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies

Tomorrowland’s Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies is a good place to duck in for a quick, cold treat. Here you’ll find a variety of Floats, shakes, smoothies, and a Brownie Sundae. All are honestly pretty generic and boring by Disney World standards, but every now and then a special surprise shows up on its menu.

For example, this 2319 Cone that magically appeared last year! But Character Cones like this one have a way of disappearing, despite how wildly popular they are (or how obscure their movie reference is!).

Auntie-Gravitys-Galactic-Goodies-2319-Co

2319 Cone

Auntie Gravity’s does also get a nod for its Halloween and Christmas themed treats. It’s basically just seasonally flavored soft serve used to make the same ol’ sundaes and shakes, but bonus points for the extra effort (plus the Mickey marshmallow straws for the shakes are CUTE!).

mnsshp_2019_pumpkinPieMilkshake2-450x600

2019 Pumpkin Spice Milkshake

We’ve seen flavors like pumpkin spice and candy corn at Halloween and cookie butter flavors at Christmas!

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Come for the Chili Cheese Fries, stay for the Sonny Eclipse — he’s the alien lounge singer who performs all day long at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe — that is, when he’s not “away on one of his lengthy tours” a.k.a. — being refurbished! Even so, we’d love to see another sweet treat like this delightful cookies and cream cheesecake that appeared on the menu in 2018 for a VERY limited time in tribute to the crooner! But such delights are SO few and far between!

Sonny-Eclipse-Dessert_Cosmic-Rays_18-02-

Sonny Eclipse Dessert

Remember — we’re looking at SNACKS, not full meals. If you’re looking for a full meal, you’ll find lots of decent options here, but in the “just a snack” department, it’s rather lacking. We seriously need more Sonny Eclipse Desserts in our lives. Then our ranking of Tomorrowland might look VEEERY different! 😉

Cool Ship

Blast off to tasty cinnamon sugary planets with Cool Ship’s Churros! You’ll also find the occasional Mickey Pretzel and a variety of Coca-Cola products to choose from!

wdw-magic-kingdom-2019-holiday-mvmcp-coo

Cool Ship

Again, these goodies are…fine, but rather boring compared to stunners a short walk away in nearby lands.

Other Tomorrowland Snack Spots

Tomorrowland has Joffrey’s Revive where you can munch on a selection of Mini Donuts which are rotated out seasonally as well as your favorite specialty beverages including a signature S’mores Latte and Frozen Kona Mocha!

joffreys-kona-mocha-disney-world-magic-k

Joffrey’s Revive

Joffrey’s can be found all around Disney World and, while they can fulfill your need for caffeine, we don’t often find ourselves seeking it out for its snacks. (YES, we love the giant donuts, but you can find them all over Disney World!) We recommend saving those calories for something more substantial!

Read more about Joffrey’s Frozen Kona Mocha here!

Tomorrowland also has a Popcorn Cart to satisfy your buttery and salty tastebuds as well as a Turkey Leg Cart that’s only open for special occasions — (any occasion to eat a Jumbo Turkey Leg sounds pretty special to us, but sadly we don’t make the rules!).

6th Place: Frontierland

From Tomorrowland, we’re moving onto Frontierland, which was another tough placement to make — and we’re still lying awake at night wondering if we made the right decision!

Frontierland_01-587x600.jpg

Frontierland

But just like Tomorrowland, Frontierland’s pioneering spirit doesn’t necessarily translate over into its eats. Most of its snacks are, once again, pretty typical and homogenous with no real Annie Oakleys amongst the crowd.

Golden Oak Outpost

Frontierland’s snacks tend to skew a little more savory than other lands. For instance, Golden Oak Outpost is where you’ll find Loaded Onion Rings or Waffle Fries, which are sometimes topped with Chili and Cheese.

loaded-onion-rings-golden-oak-outpost-ma

Loaded Onion Rings at Golden Oak Outpost

Read our review of Golden Oak Outpost’s Loaded Onion Rings here!

Don’t get us wrong, we’re not turning our noses up to plastic cheese covered, crispy fried snacks (they’re actually really tasty!), but we want MORE stuff like it in Frontierland! We’re plastic cheese-covered wagon pioneers!

Westward Ho

Westward Ho is the perfect spot to pick up a quick bite AND keep your spurs jangling while you enjoy it!

Westward-Ho-600x275.jpg

Westward Ho

That’s because most of their snacks come on a stick, like their Corn Dogs, Bacon Skewers, and Sweet and Spicy Chicken Skewers! Food on a stick is, in our experience, almost always a good thing. 🙂 Plus, a thick slab of bacon? It makes for an unusual park snack, but no less tasty.

Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is a place we’d rather stop by for a full meal, buuuut we’ve been known to mobile order their Nachos or Tacos to share with our posse! Especially after we doctor them up at the complimentary fixin’s bar!

PecoBill_15-0331-700x466.jpg

Pecos Bill’s Fixins Bar!

You can really go to town on all that free unlimited shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa (if ya know what we’re sayin’!). Aside from sharing a small meal, the only true “snacks” on the menu are mini churros or chips and queso. They’re…fine, but nothing amazing.

Other Frontierland Snack Spots

You can also hitch your Conestoga wagon to Frontierland’s Churro and Pretzel Cart as well as their Hot Dog Cart! These spots are reliable for a quick ‘n easy bite by about mid-day when we’re visiting Magic Kingdom.

Frontierland-Maple-Popcorn-700x525.jpg

Frontierland Popcorn Cart

And nothing hits the spot after a Country Bear Jamboree like a big ol’ Jumbo Turkey Leg from Frontierland’s Turkey Leg Cart! We just hope Big Al doesn’t catch a whiff of it while we’re walking by!

Big-Al_01-406x600.jpg

Big Al Moseying around Frontierland

Seriously, Jumbo Turkey Legs are like bear bait — but their intoxicating scent might attract other humans, as well!

It’s almost worth contending with large crowds to get to enjoy Aunt Polly’s! The restaurant is located on Tom Sawyer Island and rarely open. We usually see it open for business during peak summer and spring break or holiday crowds, which is a SHAME, because their menu is pretty tasty!

aunt-pollys-Beckys-Buttery-Biscuit-Barbe

Becky’s Buttery Biscuit BBQ Pork Sliders

But when they are cookin’ they’ve got a small but mighty menu including Becky’s Buttery Biscuit Barbecued Pork Sliders and Peanut Butter Sandwiches that are served warm with either raspberry preserves or chocolate hazelnut spread and sliced banana! Aunt Polly’s also makes the best Root Beer Float!

Find out more details about Aunt’s Polly’s here!

Frontierland also has a candy store called Prairie Outpost & Supply where you can buy pre-packaged snacks, candy in bulk, and fresh baked goods!

Prairie-Outpost-and-Supply-Bulk-Candy-45

Prairie Outpost & Supply

They also sell homemade Fudge in a variety of flavors like chocolate, peanut butter, and cookies & cream!

5th Place: Liberty Square

Enough circling the wagons! It’s time to ride off into the sunset and giddy up to our next destination right next door to Frontierland — Liberty Square!

liberty-square-great-moments-in-american

Liberty Square

Liberty Square’s patriotic spirit is alive and well! It has passion, it has a giant Liberty Bell, it has…EVEN MORE Jumbo Turkey Legs! And thankfully, a few more unique food items are starting to show up (FINALLY!).

Turkey Leg Cart

That’s right, fellow Americans! You don’t have to lay down your fife and drumsticks quite yet! Liberty Square serves up plenty of those big yummy Jumbo Turkey Legs!

jumbo-turkey-leg-4-700x467.jpg

Jumbo Turkey Leg

Hey, the turkey was almost our national bird (and would have been if Benjamin Franklin got his way!), so next time you salute the Star-Spangled Banner, we hope you’re holding THIS mega-sized drumstick! Truthfully, it’s more of a meal with how big these legs are!

Columbia Harbor House

Aside from its delightful Hush Puppies (which are also a favorite snack of ours!) a new treat has recently sailed in to Columbia Harbor House — the Minnie Mouse Chocolate Chip Lava Cake!

MagicKingdom-ColumbiaHarbourHouse-Minnie

Molten Cookie Goodness!

It’s basically a cross between a cake with a molten chocolate center and everything you love about a half-baked chocolate chip cookie! Just like our gal pal Minnie, this one’s a real keeper and we sure hope it sticks around for a while!

Read our FULL REVIEW of the Minnie Mouse Chocolate Chip Lava Cake here!

Liberty Tree Tavern

Speaking of all things ooey gooey, we’d be remiss not to take this opportunity to tell you about the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at Liberty Tree Tavern! It’s piles of toffee candy pieces with loads of vanilla ice cream and a generous dousing of caramel sauce on top of a warm toffee cake!

liberty-tree-tavern-dinner-prix-fixe-mag

Behold: Liberty Tree Tavern’s Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake!

Read our latest review of Liberty Tree Tavern HERE!

Even though this is a table service restaurant and you can’t quite grab-n-go this dessert like the rest on this list, we feel its definitely worth mentioning because it’s DE-LIC-IOUS! You can get the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for lunch or dinner — just make sure you snag an Advance Dining Reservation first; this spot books up quick! (We recommend lunch as it’s served a la carte. Just be sure to tip your server well if you’re only getting dessert.)

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

With all this talk of Lava Cakes and Ooey Gooey Toffee Cakes, we can’t forget to mention Sleepy Hollow Refreshment‘s Funnel Cakes! You can get them topped with either powdered sugar or whipped cream and strawberries!

Funnel-Cake_Sleepy-Hollow-450x600.jpg

Funnel Cake with Strawberries and Whipped Cream

Sleepy Hollow also serves Hand-scooped Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches (sadly the Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches are now gone and not likely to return).

disney-world-ice-cream-cookie-sandwich-r

This is also where you’ll find Mickey Waffles, the Fresh Fruit and Nutella Waffle Sandwiches (that’s what we call an AM snack!), and the delicious Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich (that’s what we call a PM snack!).

Nutella-Waffle-600x400.jpg

Nutella Waffle Sandwich With Fruit

Not to mention this is where you can sometimes nab a foot-long corn dog! SO many good snacks in one location! No wonder there’s always a line!

Other Liberty Square Snack Spots

Liberty Square Market is your one-stop shop to fill up on Fruit, Chips, Hot Dogs, frozen slushes, and yes, even Jumbo Turkey Legs! There seem to be legions of those legs in Liberty Square! No wonder it’s a favorited land by many!

Liberty-Square-Market-Signage_02-700x525

Liberty Square Market

And on REALLY busy days, you might spot something a little out-of-character for Liberty Square! Premade Cheese Pizzas are sold to the masses from the Liberty Square Pizza Cart, but this one is pretty rare!

Take a look at Liberty Square Market’s newly remodeled seating area!

4th Place: New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus

Now we’re starting to really get down to the real nitty-gritty! As you can see, relative newcomers New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus are doing quite well for themselves in Magic Kingdom!

Big-Top-Souvenirs_02-700x525.jpg

Big Top Treats

That’s because they offer a whimsical and more character-driven take on their food, incorporating a good amount of variety along with humor and playfulness as well!

Gaston’s Tavern

Perhaps nothing exemplifies our love of New Fantasyland’s snacks more than Gaston’s Tavern. The Disney villain you love to hate makes a mean Giant Cinnamon Roll (that bears a striking resemblance to the one that used to be sold at Main Street Bakery back in the day!).

Gaston's Cinnamon Roll

Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll

And even though LaFou’s Brew is a non-alcoholic option, we’ll always give it “two frosty mugs up” in approval! It doesn’t get much yummier and refreshing than a frozen apple juice slushy!

Maurice’s Amazing Popping Machine

Just steps away from Gaston’s Tavern (and near where the lovable lug likes to greet his adoring public), you’ll find Maurice’s Amazing Popping Machine! (Though this kookie cart has been known to meander around from time to time!)

Maurices-Amazing-Popping-Machine_01-700x

Maurice’s Amazing Popping Machine

Okay, so maybe this isn’t the great emporium of popcorn delights we were hoping for (they only sell butter-flavored!), but the theming is cute and we’re all for supporting Belle’s dad’s side hustle!

Big Top Treats

You’ll find many of the same goodies under the Storybook Circus’ Big Top Treats as you will at the Main Street Confectionery! They’ve got fresh Caramel Corn made in-house as well as Caramel Apples, Character Cupcakes, Marshmallow Wands, and MORE!

Big-Top-Treats_01-700x490.jpg

Big Top Treats Bakery Case

We’ve also been known to go home with a bag or two of their Pecan Chocolate Fudge and Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge!

Prince Eric’s Village Market

And not to be outdone by Liberty Square, Prince Eric’s Village Market has also gotten into the Turkey Leg-slingin’ biz! Although it looks like you can soon buy his drumsticks as part of a meal with CHIPS!

Prince-Erics-Village-Market-Dream-Big-Li

Dream Big, Little Mermaid

We’ve also found several short-lived Ariel-inspired treats at Prince Eric’s dive where he pays delicious tribute to his lady love!

Other New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus Snack Spots

On busy days, you might find Storybook Circus Hot Dogs open, and you can always grab a bucket of the good stuff from the Storybook Circus Popcorn Cart. Complete the snack trifecta with Storybook Circus Pretzels!

3rd Place: Main Street, U.S.A.

We can’t believe we’re already down to 3rd place! And FINALLY! The time has come to express our true passion for all of Main Street, U.S.A.’s awesome snack offerings!

stock-photo_9148-700x562.jpg

Cinderella Castle and Main Street USA in Disney World

Main Street, U.S.A. gives the Magic Kingdom’s food offerings a more balanced equilibrium! From savory to sweet, they’ve got all your treat needs covered!

Casey’s Corner

You’ll never strike out with Casey Corner’s Hot Dogs, some of which can be very extreme depending on which toppings you choose. We’re especially fond of their Mac and Cheese Hot Dog! And just like how we want our bases when our home team is up to bat, these puppies come fully-loaded with all sorts of unique, over-the-top toppings!

Caseys-mac-and-cheese-dog-700x467.jpg

Casey’s Mac and Cheese Hot Dog

Check out all the cheese you can get at Casey’s Corner here!

You’ll also find some over-the-top sides like the Bacon Mac and Cheese Fries, and, after a temporary change last year, Casey’s has gone back to their original Corn Dog Nuggets recipe which you can dunk in a cup o’ Plastic Cheese (what we call Disney World’s cheddar cheese sauce) for just a buck! Oh and their baseball brownie is top notch! We can’t say enough good things about this place — they’re all home runs to us!

Main Street Bakery — a.k.a. Starbucks

And while there are many lands to explore at Magic Kingdom, none of them besides Main Street U.S.A. have a Starbucks! The only location in the Kingdom to get your Starbs on is right there!

Main-Street-Bakery_01-700x385.jpg

Main Street Bakery

No matter what land you’re standing in when you suddenly feel your energy start to dwindle, it’s worth the pilgrimage over to this Starbucks to get a quick pick-me-up!

The Main Street, U.S.A. location has also been known to offer special treats in its bakery cases on occasion (like this ridonculous pumpkin-style coach cake in honor of Cinderella’s 70th anniversary), so always keep your eyes peeled for something new!

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

It doesn’t get much more patriotic than enjoying an All American Sundae from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Magic Kingdom’s main drag!

good-food-photo-All-American-Sundae-Plaz

All American Ice Cream Sundae

There are many other temptations as well including Seasonal Specialty Sundaes, Mini Kitchen Sink Sundaes, and Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches to name just a few! Or just grab a scoop of your favorite ice cream! But don’t forget the chocolate Mickey ears!

Read our review of the All American Sundae here!

Main Street Confectionery

It’s no secret that Main Street Confectionery is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth! They’ve got bakery cases aplenty brimming with fresh handmade candies, treats, cookies, and cupcakes!

main-street-confectionery-450x600.jpg

Main Street Confectionery

Just the smell of this place is intoxicating! AHHH! Heaven! Do you think they’d let us roll out a sleeping bag and LIVE here??? They also sell lots of prepackaged sweets and snacks that you can grab on your way out of the park and enjoy back at your resort later on!

Other Main Street, U.S.A. Snack Spots

The Main Street, U.S.A. Popcorn Cart is fully-equipped to outfit you with any pre-firework munchies! Of course, you can just as easily get to one of your favorite snacks before the big show thanks to Magic Kingdom’s “hub and spoke” layout, so if any of these other options on our list caught your eye, consider hustling over there pre-show!

2nd Place: Fantasyland

And now, we’re already down to our first runner up for the BEST LAND at Magic Kingdom — “snackidly” speaking!

wdw-magic-kingdom-new-years-eve-crowds-c

Small World

That’s right, — we’re crowning Fantasyland is our snacky Miss Congeniality!

Storybook Treats

Looking for something other than vanilla and chocolate soft-serve? Storybook Treats has you covered (they have plain soft-serve here too, actually!). Currently, they have a Peter Pan Float made with Lime Dole Whip! Storybook Treats is also a hot spot for seasonal flavored soft serves (Gingerbread Sundae, anyone?!).

wdw-magic-kingdom-2019-holiday-mvmcp-sto

Gingerbread Sundae

Check out our review of the Christmastime Gingerbread Sundae here!

Sadly, it looks like Storybook Treats has taken away the super-popular Arendelle Aqua Cone, but we’re looking forward to seeing what other unique stuff they’ll be cooking up next!

The Friar’s Nook

Looking for a truly magical Magic Kingdom carb fest? The Friar’s Nook’s Creamy Bacon Mac and Cheese Tots or Loaded Buffalo Tots are a seriously good time in a bowl!

friars-nook-creamy-bacon-macaroni-and-ch

Creamy Bacon Mac and Cheese Tots at Friar’s Nook

Although the good Friar won’t accept Disney Dining Plan snack credits for his potatoey goods, we think they’re worth shelling out the extra money for.

Pinocchio Village Haus

Pinocchio Village Haus is where we look for this Disney maiden in distress: the Tangled Eclair!

Tangled-Wall-Eclair_-686x600.jpg

Tangled Wall Eclair

In the past, we’ve seen really fun slushes sold here for a limited time, so always keep your eyes open. You’ll also find Chocolate Gelato and a selection of Flatbread Pizzas on the menu, but none are quite as delicious as Punzie with the good hair — in dough form!

Read our review of the Tangled Eclair here!

Cheshire Cafe

And speaking of even more doughy delights, the Cheshire Cat Tail is also hanging around Fantasyland at his namesake Cheshire Cafe!

Cat-Tail_Cheshire-Cafe_17-03-700x465.jpg

Cheshire Cat Tail

It’s a flaky pastry twist served warm with melty chocolate chips and icing drizzled on top! We know that furry mischief-maker is usually up to no good, but as long as he keeps churning out this snack, he can do no wrong!

You can also pick up a super photogenic Wonderland Slushy here (with a candy-coated straw!) to wash it all down.

1st Place: Adventureland

You’ve probably figured out who the winner is by now since there’s only one land left: Adventureland!

missing-camel-adventureland-magic-carpet

Adventureland

We have such a love of this tropical paradise, we’re even visited in our dreams by many of its snacky delights!

Aloha Isle

First and foremost, Adventureland’s Aloha Isle (winner of our Quick Service Throwdown Bracket!) is the home of the sacred Pineapple Dole Whip, our readers’ favorite snack! We also love treating ourselves to the Pineapple Upside Down Cake which comes topped with a healthy dollop of ‘whip!

Pineapple-Upside-Down-Cake_Aloha-Isle-Re

Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Dole Whip at Aloha Isle

But Pineapple Dole Whip isn’t the only contender for our affections these days! Enter the Kakamora Float made with Coconut-flavored Dole Whip!

wdw-magic-kingdom-aloha-isle-coconut-dol

Kakamora Float

Our heart skips a beat when we’re over by Aloha Isle — and it seems we’re not ALONE! To save precious time waiting for your precious Pineapple Dole Whip or other goodies, skip the line by using mobile order on your My Disney Experience app instead! It’s a faster, easier way to get that Dole Whip in your mouth without waiting in that loooong line!

Sunshine Tree Terrace

If you thought Aloha Isle was the only place serving up delicious stuff in Adventureland, then Sunshine Tree Terrace must have slipped your mind!

Our favorite little Orange Bird’s home turf has most recently been making a signature treat with Orange-flavored Dole Whip called the I Lava You Float!

sunshine-tree-terrace-i-lava-you-float-d

I Lava You Float

We also recently saw this spot serving up Strawberry Dole Whip and the oh-so-classy looking FOMOsa, which is Orange Dole Whip served in a flute with sparkling apple cider. You can also order the famous Citrus Swirl or Orange Cream soft-serve separately or as a float, if you prefer!

Spring Roll Cart

And it seems only fitting to end our ranking of the lands of Magic Kindgom by its snacks with one of our favorites of ALL TIME! Behold! The fried, crispy specialty spring rolls you’ll only find at Adventureland’s Spring Roll Cart!

PizzaSpringRolls_19-01-450x600.jpg

Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls

Flavors vary and rotate quite often but so far Pepperoni Pizza and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls are amongst our favorites. We’re certainly not opposed to rollin’ with their Philly Cheesesteak, Buffalo Chicken, or Rueben Spring Rolls either! They aren’t Disney Dining Plan snack credit eligible, but they’re definitely worth throwing down the extra money for. Just make sure you get there early for the best selection!

Other Adventureland Snack Spots

Don’t forget — there’s also an Adventureland Nut Cart which serves delicious Cinnamon-Glazed Almonds like you’ll find over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! It also serves Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars and other novelties to help you cool down in a hurry!

And Tortuga Tavern might not be open when you stop by, but if it is, look for some swashbuckling snacks like Jumbo Turkey Legs and even a Rum Cake!

Wow! Is anyone else completely ravenous right now or is it just us??? We hope you’ve enjoyed this ranking of the Magic Kingdom lands by their snacks — and let us know which other Disney parks you’d like to see us rank in the comments below!
