The Asian Style Beef Barbacoa Street Tacos have made their return this year! Priced at $8.00, they come with a generous portion and continue to be a good festival value.

Smoke Bacon Barbecue Beef Loco Moco

Priced at $7.50, it’s the easy stand out at the booth this year. There were a lot of fun textures going on here, the meat was tender, and the sauce was soooooo good (like lick your fork good).

Also new this year: SPIKED Monkey Bread! What?! The Monkey Bread with Caramel Whiskey Glaze and Candied Pecans is priced at $6.00 and contains trace amounts of alcohol. We are expecting sugary greatness.

Monkey Bread

Well, bummer. This one had MAJOR potential BUT our piece was very stale tasting. The flavors were there (and actually amazing) but the toughness of the bread completely ruined it for us. 🙁 We’re really hoping this batch was a fluke because it could have been SO delicious!

Drinks

For beverages, LA Style brings us two alcoholic options.

The Blue Angeleno Cocktail is served on the rocks and you better hold onto your lil toothpick umbrella because this one is SOOO SWEET. We’re talking take a piña colada and then add three more spoonfuls of sugar in there SWEET. Priced at $13.00, it has a nice mix of fruity and coconut flavors, but you REALLY gotta like the sweet stuff to enjoy.

If caffeine with booze if your thing, they are also serving a Amaretto Stout-Cream Cold Brew that is priced at $13.00.

LA Style is serving up a pretty well rounded menu this year, but the Beef Loco Moco was a clear standout! We may come back to give the monkey bread another chance, but fortunately the Blue Angeleno Cocktail helped us finish our snacks on a sweet note!
