This expected closure came as just one part of the massive transformation currently taking place at Epcot. Electric Umbrella behind construction walls And even as we say goodbye to some old haunts, we are MORE than excited about what’s to come, both in the years ahead and in the near future with one of the presumed highlights being the Space 220 Restaurant, currently under construction right by the Mission: SPACE attraction! So, let’s take a peek! Space 220 Concept Art ©Disney While we’ve been keeping an eye out for any and all updates on this dining location which will deliver guests to the Centauri Space Station, today brings us a first glimpse at a bit of newly revealed exterior décor of Space 220! Space 220 Construction We can at last make out paint colors in hues of blue including a bold blue circle within the design, peeking out from behind the greenery and fences (reminders of our home here on earth ). Space 220 Construction It is exciting to see progress on this highly anticipated location, especially since the opening — originally slated for the end of 2019 — has met with delays.
