If you’ve been following along, the Animal Kingdom’s Tasting Sampler has returned for a third run this winter. Here’s the basics. The Tasting Sampler costs $50.00 and includes two digital value cards: One $50 card that can be used at over 40 outdoor food and beverage locations throughout the park (and does not expire), and a bonus $10.00 that can be used at the following quick-service restaurants after 4:00 PM from December 22, 2019 through January 4, 2020: Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Satu’li Canteen. Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler This year, we see several new items join the lineup, as well as returning items and menu mainstays that are also a part of the official sampling menu. Please note, you do not have to purchase the Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler to indulge in these special menu items. They’re available everyday, for ALL guests! Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler We’re trekking to The Smiling Crocodile where they have two new offerings this year, including the Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich. WHAT!?! The Smiling Crocodile The Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich is priced at $6.99 or an excellent use of a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. The Smiling Crocodile Menu This slider is comprised of pulled pork that is then stuffed into a jelly doughnut along with some coleslaw! Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich The bun, in this case, is a delicious Jelly filled Donut and we’re NOT mad about it one bit! Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut The combination of sweet and savory really worked here! It first sounded a little weird but turned out being really enjoyable! The saucy pork mixed with the crunchy slaw and the sweet jelly was a hit for us! Plus, doughnuts…so yeah. Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich Ok, we need to go lay down after eating this thing. That was a LOT of yum, right there! Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich Disney’s Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler is only available for purchase now through January 4, 2020.
