Disney4me Posted Wednesday at 05:44 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:44 PM Okay, we did not think we could get any more excited about future Disney TV shows and movies until this most recent announcement… ©Disney That’s right, an Artemis Fowl Animated Series is officially in the works! Here is everything you need to know. Artemis Fowl is a best-selling book series written by Eoin Colfer. At New York City Comic Con, there was a “25 Years of Artemis Fowl” panel where Colfer officially announced this new show and that he would be an Executive Producer. Disney has shared that this new animated series will bring Colfer’s creative vision to life and “dig deeper into the characters and lore of the beloved book series that is celebrating its 25th anniversary of the first book.” ©EoinColfer.com Artemis Fowl is an adventure and fantasy series following 13-year-old genius Artemis Fowl as he uncovers a secret underground magical world and attempts to steal magic to save his mother, who is sick. Ben Juwono and Colleen Evanson will also act as Executive Producers alongside Colfer. ©Disney Books Ayo Davis, President, Disney Kids & Family, has shared, “For more than two decades, Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl books have captivated readers around the world with unforgettable characters, imaginative world-building, and gripping adventures,” Ayo Davis, President, Disney Kids & Family, said. “Bringing this beloved franchise to life as an animated series allows us to introduce a new generation to Artemis’ world while honoring the longtime fans who have cherished these stories for years.” Artemis Fowl Movie ©Disney Now, you might remember that this is not the first adaptation of this beloved series. Back in 2020, an Artemis Fowl movie was released on Disney Plus. However, it was met with widespread criticism from fans who felt it varied too greatly from the original books. So, we are thrilled to see that a new adaptation is in the works with Eoin Colfer as an Executive Producer. ©Disney We will continue to bring you all the Disney TV and Movie news, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog so you never miss anything!
