Disney4me Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM Report Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM At the Magic Kingdom, the turn of the calendar from October kickstarts the holiday season and leads to a slew of changes at Disney World’s original theme park in November. This year, one of those changes includes the closure of a beloved ride! Magic Kingdom Christmas Decor From the kickoff of a massively popular seasonal event — and the effects it has even on this without tickets — to holiday decorations, November marks some major changes heading into the end of the year. Christmas is Coming While the Halloween season and party dates run all the way until October 31st, elements of the Christmas season will begin sneaking in certain places as the month comes to an end. Then, as soon as Halloween ends, the bulk of decorations goes up just after Halloween in early November, usually being complete within the month’s opening days. In addition, holiday snacks will start popping up around the park (YUM!). While no reopening date has been specified, the official website states that the ride is “expected to reopen in December 2026.” If that preliminary timeline ends up being accurate — always remember that refurbishment length is subject to change — then the ride should be open for the later part of the holiday rush, but it’s still going to be down during some of the Magic Kingdom’s busiest weeks of the year. Of course, we’ll keep you updated with any announcements and news! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins… November will see the 2026 debut of the ever-popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. As usual, the event will offer special entertainment, like Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Club Tinsel, and Disney Junior Jingle Jam! Guests will also have access to Magic Kingdom attractions (some with Holiday overlays), photo opportunities with characters, exclusive treats, and tasty cookie and cocoa spots offering complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the party! Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Plus, several Magic Kingdom attractions will offer special Holiday overlays: Space Mountain will feature “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.” The Tomorrowland Speedway transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor, and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.” The Mad Tea Party becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.” Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns.” Of note, the Jingle Cruise can be enjoyed during the party or all day long at the Magic Kingdom. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.” Jingle Cruise Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party launches November 8th. Further November dates: 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, 27th and 29th. Let’s gooo! … And This Leads The Park To Close Early On Some Nights Non-party guests visiting the Magic Kingdom on the aforementioned dates should be aware that the party will have some major ramifications for their visit. For starters, the park closes to day guests at 6 PM, which means there won’t be Happily Ever After fireworks, late-night dinner reservations, or Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade on these nights. Welcome to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Happily Ever After Changes On non-Very Merry Christmas Party nights throughout November, the Happily Ever After fireworks show will take place at 8 PM each evening. Happily Ever After November 2026 brings a slew of changes to the Magic Kingdom, as the park prepares for the final quarter of the year.
