Disney4me Posted Monday at 09:29 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:29 PM One thing you gotta’ love about Disney World this time of the year is all the fall and Halloween-themed snacks that come to the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs. We love making our way throughout the resort and trying all the new ones, which is why we recently headed to Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs. New DOLE Whip Flight! Swirls on the Water is THE place in Disney Springs to get DOLE Whip treats, so when we learned that some new menu items had arrived at this snack spot, we were there SO FAST to try them out. So let’s see what we thought! First up, a new DOLE Whip Flight is now available for $8.99. You get three flavors: DOLE Whip Pineapple and Vanilla Soft-serve topped with a Fresh Pineapple Wedge, DOLE Whip Raspberry and DOLE Whip Peach with Raspberry Crisps and Peach Pie Filling, and Pumpkin Soft-Serve (YES, IT’S PUMPKIN SEASON!) and Chocolate Soft-Serve with White Sprinkles. September DOLE Whip Flight Okay, so we already know we love the DOLE Whip Pineapple with the Vanilla Soft-Serve, so it’s no secret that it’s a tasty combo. It’s a classic…and with good reason. It’s sweet…it’s sour…it’s creamy. We also loved the fresh pineapple wedge that added a nice touch. Like most DOLE Whip desserts, though, it melts fast. Pineapple and vanilla The DOLE Whip Raspberry and DOLE Whip Peach is very sour, and we’ll admit we were disappointed with it. The taste is very artificial. We didn’t get a lot of the peach flavor because the raspberry just overwhelmed everything. The peach filling is a basic pie filling. The crisps also tasted sour and artificial. We’re not a fan of this one. Raspberry and peach Okay, let’s talk about the Pumpkin Soft-Serve with Chocolate Soft-Serve Swirl. We thought this was a really odd flavor combo, especially as the chocolate overwhelms the pumpkin flavor and tastes fake. We think we would have preferred it if we’d just had the Pumpkin Soft-Serve by itself. Pumpkin and chocolate Here’s what’s weird, though…these flavors work out well for the Vampire Mickey Cone for $7.49, which is made with a Pumpkin and Chocolate Soft-Serve, White Sprinkles, and Chocolate Mickey Coin in a Chocolate Cone. Maybe it was the addition of the chocolate cone, which is tasty. It’s still an odd mix, but it works better here. Vampire Mickey Cone We also tried the Peach-Raspberry Sundae for $7.29. It’s made with DOLE Whip Peach swirled with DOLE Whip Raspberry, with Peach Pie Filling, Streusel, Raspberry Crisps, and Whipped Topping, served in a Waffle Bowl. We’ve had this before, and it was a big hit for us at the time. We really liked it this time, too. The flavors are better balanced than what you get with the DOLE Whip flight. Peach Raspberry Sundae We also appreciated the peaches in the peach pie filling that made this taste a bit more authentic. The whipped cream doesn’t add much, but the streusel gives some texture. The waffle bowl, though, is pretty plain. We liked this, though We’ll be back with even more food reviews in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
