We’ve learned more about this land since it was first announced, and we even got to see a model of a new attraction in that land, but now, we have an idea of when it will open! Disney has revealed that the new Monsters, Inc. land will open next year, in 2027! Disney shared that this will be a phased opening. That’s right, while work continues on the door coaster, parts of Monstropolis will open to guests in 2027. Monsters, Inc. The ride will be based on the doors chase scene, and the concept art makes it look VERY EXCITING. We also know that this new ride will be Disney’s first suspended roller coaster. SWEET. This show will feature a brand new song by Randy Newman called “Welcome to Monstropolis,” which is also the name of the show. This will be the first song he’s written for a Disney Park, so that’s pretty exciting! We also got concept art for the new show…and it looks like it’s going to be QUITE a big welcome!
